The staff were very friendly and helpful
The pub is a typical boozer serving a great choice of beers, lagers & ciders plus excellent pub grub of high quality
Definitely going to return very soon
Visited twice in a 12 day trip and both times the food was good and the atmosphere very traditionally pub like. Missed Sunday Roast the first time by arriving too late, learned later from U.K. Friends it's best to get there early (i.e. Noon- 3pm) but we decided on Fish and Chips and Chicken and Mushroom pie, both very good. Second time was a Friday around 3 pm...place was packed but found a table. Had Fish and Chips again and. Steak and Ale pie with mash....super good this time.
For those who are new to the pub thing....don't wait to be served, you go up to the bar...order your drinks and food and pay . this pub has table numbers so you just provide the table # while ordering. Food arrives shortly and you can leave when you want since the bill is paid.
Great place to eat & drink, staff excellent & really friendly, really buzzing feel to the place busy but not overcrowded, food superb, veggie fish & chips fantastic thanks for a lovely couple of hours
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A little too commercial sometime but the clients / people and the staff is what make this place so special, Charlie Chaplin brother created this place to start and it's the heart of south Kensington now ... to me and to most of people I know too! Cheers
Really good English pup. Moved with the times. Great food selection and great beers and selection of drinks. Staff were amazing. Very friendly. They were busy on the two times I was there which is a testament to how good it was. Will go back if in that area again.
Great location, lovely place, beautiful people!! Thanks a bunch Laura for the super service and your warm enthusiasm!! Much love - Deexx
Great place for a drink (staff were awesome)
Called in for lunch and was impressed with the Hunters Chicken sandwich. Lovely staff, a proper pub!
Welcoming Pub, decent drinks and food 10/10. Staff are just like your friend
Beautifully fried piece of fish, might be the best I've tasted. Tartar sauce had tarragon in it for a nice twist. Steak pie was also very good. Seated upstairs, was quite warm and we had to walk downstairs to place our order ourselves. If we wanted to order anything additionally, including water, we had to go back downstairs. Not ideal., although server was friendly and whisked plates away promptly. I'd return for the fish any day.
This place is fabulous ! We were there for lunch and food was delicious and good service ! We didn't wait so long to sit and order food and drink. Everything was perfect !
The classic pub has a warm and cozy atmosphere with friendly staff and a wide range of local and international beers on tap. The traditional pub food is delicious and hearty, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. The decor is charming with vintage posters and memorabilia adorning the walls. Overall, it's a great spot to relax with a drink and enjoy the classic pub experience.
The Zetland Arms, adjacent to South Ken underground, a great pub, went from a four to a five when I heard the staff member going out of her way to help a customer. Just making sure everything was correct and they were happy! Well done. A simple GK pub offering a good range of beers, plenty of food for the hungry. A great place!
Nice pub with good food. Kind of hidden gem history as this building was purchased by Charles Chaplin for his brother.
The food a and drinks are excellent. We had the Sunday Roast and on our second visit the House Special Pork Belly which is like a gourmet dish for the price of a pub food. Usually quiet and ideal to meet with friends and family.
Enjoyed the Brixton beer ;-))
Very near to tube station ;-))
Ladies toilet probably wouldn’t fit someone size 16+ but maybe they have some more ;-))
Drinks were reasonably priced considering the area. Nice sar outside in the sun.
We had the nachos. It was nice as the chips were actually homemade and not just bought it. Could've done with more topping but all good apart from that.
Very smart looking old London Pub, built 1840 and was bought by Charlie Chaplin for his brother Sid Chaplin. Warm welcome and suggested alternate dry white wine, which was nice. Good range of beers, Green King Pub and reasonable prices for the drinks, £16.80 for two processo and a beer. Please see the memu for the food on offer. There are few seats outside on the closed off road, which were great to get the sun with our drinks. Seek it out if passing.
I wouldn't say I'm a 'pub snob', but I have been known to fib. General rule of thumb is to avoid GK pubs - I don't like their beer. Meeting up with various and that's where they were, so.... A revelation! Guest beers tend to be something else they own but unless I missed something, actual guests? I strongly recommend if you're in South Ken (bit handy for The Bridge). You've got to have a complaint - barman (you know who you are) if you are incapable of pouring a decent pint, don't be so stroppy when you're told to pour it properly. Five different people in two hours?? PS please don't tell them that it's a surprisingly cheap price for a very acceptable beer. Be surprised if I don't have another visit
The ambiance and service provided at the pub were exceptional. Cristian ensured that all our needs were met and took excellent care of us. I highly recommend this establishment, as it is undoubtedly the finest pub in South Kensington.
