Lovely staff! First time ordered ribs and were delicious, definitely would come back for that. Unfortunately, the breakfast could use some work. The eggs Benedict were not the best, English muffin was kind of ruining the whole experience for me. Overall, a very nice place with plenty of food.
Came here tonight with a friend, it was nice and quiet not too busy. The staff sat us down straight away and were friendly through out the service.

As its name implies, The Diner offers a great selection of good old American diner food - From buttermilk pancakes to burgers, hot dogs, mac and cheese and milkshakes. The portions are huge, yet the food is hearty and well cooked! I was very ambitious, as I decided to order the 'Lumberjack breakfast', which included 2 poached eggs, 3 huge buttermilk pancakes, bacon, maple syrup and whipped honey butter. The portion was too large for me, however, the dish was great! I highly recommend The Diner if you're ever wandering around Camden! :)
I had the taco salad with chicken and my partner had the buttermilk fried chicken. The taco salad was delicious and much too big for me to finish! I especially liked how there was a dollop of guacamole under the shell if you decided to eat the shell after the salad and wanted something to dip it in. With that said, it was so huge I never got that far! I had a few bites of the buttermilk chicken too; my partner chose mashed potatoes and the bacon gravy was phenomenal. The service was fantastic too and altogether it was a great experience. We'll definitely be back.
Stop here for a decent hearty feed (and maybe don't think about your cholesterol levels)! Can fried chicken on a waffle with maple syrup/bacon dressing and a side of onion rings sound any more greasy/delicious?! With a Snickers Shake on the side, that's one epic meal for a night. They've nailed making their comfort food ultra hearty, with a touch of sophistication. Their flavours are so punchy and unique! I can't believe these words are coming from my mouth- I almost wished they'd reduced the portion size, or offered a smaller meal option. We left feeling so full that the lasting impression was being overfed. I suppose they did their job too well! Thumbs up for sure- but wear your elasticized trousers.
The Diner is exactly as its name suggests. A classic American style venue with big meals, quick service and amazing shakes. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful as well. Opted to go for the Juicy Lucy burger made up of pulled pork formed into a burger pattie, which was cooked to perfection as well as an Oreo shake. My friend and I both got a side of fries however in hindsight we could easily have shared one between us, as the serving is so big neither of us got close to finishing them. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend a visit if you're ever in the area
The smell of hot buttermilk pancakes early in the morning is the stuff you secretly wish for. The breakfast burrito and the arch burger were one of my favourites. To wash them down I would love the coconut shake, ask me anyday.
I was told to check this place out while I was in Camden and it blew me away. Friendly staff, perfect "American Diner" feel, and the food is excellent.
The 'Juicy Lucy', their pulled pork burger, is the best I've ever had. Pair it with chili cheese fries and one of their top-notch milkshakes and you've got yourself a great experience.
Popped in for a burger and a drink pre gig. Service was friendly and helpful (they kindly let us move away from the loudest people in the world too). My chicken burger and my friend's blue cheese burger were both tasty but were tricky to eat from the baskets provided - too juicy for hands, and using cutlery added a slight confetti effect to the eating experience. Beer list was very good, hard shakes delicious, hard tea a good idea but a little watery in practice. A decent meal in fun surroundings.
One of my colleagues picked this place for her leaving lunch as it is not far from our office.
With a large group (20 of us), we were given the biggest seating area upstairs and were able to pre order our food the day before to help speed up the arrival of our food :)
I had a tostada for the first time and thought it was delicious! I've been craving one since so will visit again soon.

Great food, great decor and atmosphere. Very friendly staff. I've been to quite a few of The Diner restaurants but this one is my favourite as it's very spacious and has an upper floor that is kind of like a roof terrace. I love this chain!

Comfort Food At It's Best. Popped in here for a pre gig meal, and it pretty much ticked all the boxes, we only had a hour to get some grub and the service didn't let us down, we waited 5 minutes for a seat then sat down and ordered a couple of beers, good to see them stock the local Camden beer, which is very tasty.
So onto the food, i ordered 'The Diablo' burger which is there 'special' burger which consist's of a 8oz patty made with chuck, sirloin, filet and rib served with bacon, american cheese and all the other trimmings you'd expect all mounted on a soft brioche bun with a spicy tangy burger sauce, they asked me how i wanted it cooked which is always a plus, i opted medium/rare as i like a little pinkness to my burger, when it arrived i was like 'WOW' look at this beast! I sunk my teeth into the soft bun then it hit me, the crunch of the pickle/onion, then the cheese and bacon, then the show stopper, the patty, then i gave the groan, i was in heaven, my brother looked at me like I was some kind of nut job that had just escaped broad-moor, but i didn't care, each mouthful was lush, I also had some wet fries and mac 'n' cheese to ride shotgun with my burger, tasty but nothing to write home about. My Brother had the Kansas Dog, which was a beef frank, topped with cheese and pulled pork, that also looked amazing.

I think the comments about the staff are unfair. I really enjoy chatting to the staff, and I've become a bit of a regular, and being recognised by the staff is always nice. There's a small blonde girl and a taller brummie brunette who are always nice on a Saturday morning. I do have to say that on occasion the food has been slow and not always satisfactory considering the wait. The pancakes are always good,but I'm not that impressed by the breakfasts in general. I like the general vibe in the restaurant, although the decor doesn't really fit. Could do with a lick of paint. The staff are what make it for me, love how chatty they are, seem genuinely interested in how our day's going. Pretty cool place.
I think the service comments previously posted are unfair, it's just not that kind of a place, the staff are laid back and not unhappy to be there, it's not too slow, but no one's in a rush either. There were 3 staff on Foh when we arrived, and it was pretty quiet. They're just not going mad ticking any 'were you acknowledged within 30 seconds or arrival' and 'did your drink arrive within 2 minutes of ordering' boxes! Which I don't care about on a Sunday morning when I'm sipping tea and waiting for my pancakes anyway! So long as the company is good and so are the pancakes! And they were :)
Good American food. Meat is British so tastes different that corn-fed USDA. Fajitas are not so great, odd spices. Usually have root beer.
The Diner gets the biggest points from me for being as close to home as the so-called American chains in London get. I was very impressed, very full and always left with a very happy taste in my mouth.

This place makes me very happy indeed. It's not often I return time and time again to the same restaurant but I'll make an exception for the Diner. Awesome beers in cans and cherry soda if you're not drinking, always a winner.
Here's a big list of things that I can recommend you eat, in order from favourite to not so much my favourite but still tremendously decent.
- Arch Burger: Burger, pulled porn, monterey jack... HEAVEN.
- Wings and blue cheese sauce: I actually can't get enough of these wings. The sauce is tremendous.
- The Diablo: all of the meats plus bacon and jalapeno mayo. Ohhh it's tasty.
- The Cuban: A pulled pork delight, with ham and monterey jack. This one's made by the pickled and mustard.
- Baby Back Ribs: For most people this one would go right at the top of the list, but I'm so into the burgers it's going underneath. They're bloody good ribs and really well priced.
- Chilli Cheese Fries: my advice for these is don't order them just for you, they're for sharing. The portion size is so big they're basically a meal by themselves.
- Philly Cheese Steak: tasty treat but the steak can be a little tough to bite so you end up spilling it all over the place and looking a bit messy.
- Yankee Pig Dog: Hot dog and pulled porn, winning. Not a hot dog to eat with your hands, you're going to need a knife and fork.
- Sweet potato fries: fries are amazing but not as good as mains so this is underneath.
- Wet fries: I'm northern and I take my gravy very seriously, these were swimming but the gravy isn't as good as the stuff you'll get in the chip shop.

Beautiful. This diner is amazing!! The portions are huge and very filling. The food is cooked beautifully plus the staff are friendly so that's a bonus!! Recommend you eat here!!! Bit pricey but worth it for the size of there portions.
Wow..this is just heaven on earth..mouthwatering burgers, hot dogs, sides and drinks..I had ordered Cuban burger and my friend had ordered dcm, both were delicious..this place is added to my list of favourites..

The food here was good and I was satisfied with it. I was glad to see hot sauce on tables and avocado on the menu, a rarity for the British. They had a very innovative menu housing a few Mexican dishes. The refills on coffee makes it a great place to quietly do some work. My complaint was only with the free wifi not working.
This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is always of impeccable quality. The waffles and chilli are always a good bet. They also serve some good milkshakes. The staff was pretty friendly and the service was also a standard one. The food though wasn't as hot as I expected it to be but overall, it tasted pretty good.
This is a perfect little place, that can easily beat the best of hotel meals. The service is friendly, and amazingly efficient. They have a very large menu, many of which are unique and very innovative. They are very generous with their helpings, and skilled in their cooking. I ordered the Mexican pan fry breakfast, which was a perfect beginning for my day. Please do come and visit- you will not regret it.
The atmosphere was excellent and very enjoyable here. The food tasted good and the portions were decent as well. The complaint was with the blueberries on my pancakes, that tasted a bit old. The fries on the other hand were delicious and the best I have sampled anywhere. The waitress was very cheerful!
The food came in large portions and was absolutely delicious. I must say that it was quite filling. The staff was also good and the service was really attentive the whole time. I would also recommend you all to try this place. It won't disappoint you and I can assure you of that.
My all time favorite is comfort food along with a beer! I loved the white beer though i found it to be a little over priced. Food was really appealing and appetizing. I would recommend this place to all to catch up with your friends over a drink along with some good filling food to accompany.
I, along with my partner, visited this place for our dinner and did not have to wait too much as the staff found us a table in no time. The staff was friendly, however, the service was a bit lacking at times. I had burger and fries and they were quite mouth-watering. Overall, the quality of food was really good though a bit on the expensive side.

The ambiance is pretty great , you feel like you are sitting at your place , atmosphere is good too.

I had heard a lot about this place and even seen it in fiction movies but had never got the chance to visit it. I was lucky enough to get a chance to visit it last weekend and I was happy that it lived up to its hype. The servers were always more than happy to help. The food is just delicious. There is a huge variety that is being offered and you would not mind paying the price that you do.
In my opinion, the previous comments about the service are not justified. The servers are friendly, and not inefficient. They are not in a rush, the environment is just a bit laid-back. I enjoyed my experience, since I believe that the food was good, and so was my company, which are the only things important to a dining experience. I would recommend it as a place to relax.
The Diablo burger took me by surprise and well i am still in awe of it.It was so delicious that i still cannot take my mind off it.
The service is prompt.The prices are reasonable.

The patty was well cooked and filled with flavors.

After hearing only good things about this place I decided after a day of shopping my friend and I deserved to try it out at around 1:30pm.
As you walk in the awesome 50's style to this place hits you, it seems small but is bustling, we got seated straight away and had to wait mere minutes before our waiter came over.
The guy we had was called Terrance and the first thing he did was get down to the tables level so we didn't have to strain our necks to look up at him as we ordered, which I thought was a perfect touch.
After perusing the menu and flashing back to my time of living in America, we finally decided on a small feast.
We ordered 2 portions of Corn Dogs to share, Mac and Cheese, Hanger Fries, Garlic Butter Fries, a Coke and Dr.Pepper.
After a couple of minutes Terrance came back and told us that in fact as we were sharing so much food it might be better to just get one order of Corn Dogs as each one came with two, which by the time the food came we were both happy we let him make that decision for us.
The food from order to table took about 10 minutes and it all looked amazing served in diner style baskets with paper which just added to the charm.
I love the fact that at the Diner you can see into the Kitchen so you can almost see them slapping together your meal which is a great addition to your night.
When the food arrived it smelled amazing! The Corn Dogs were clearly hand breaded and weren't too greasy. The Mac and Cheese was perfect and had bread crumbs on the top to create and crispy crust. The hanger fries are to die for healthily topped with Cheese,Onions and Burger sauce it had me drooling the second they arrived. The Garlic Butter fries are literally swimming in garlic and butter so if you order them don't except to be kissing anyone.
The music is low enough that it doesn't get in the way, but it creates an atmosphere with David Bowie jamming while you eat.
All together our meal with drinks cost £22.78 and there is a service charge added onto your bill, but we gave our waiter even more because he just made the experience better, checking on us with out towering over us.
Overall if you love American style diner food with out breaking the bank this is your place, I will be coming back here a lot with out a doubt!

Myself and a friend visited here whilst feeling rather hungover after a big night out in Camden and were not disappointed! The initial thoughts I remember having were looking at the menu and pretty much knowing immediately I would be getting a large helping of food envy regardless of what I ordered. From the descriptions I could've ordered absolutely anything on the menu!
The menu had a good variety of classic 'Americana' dishes (burgers, fries and shakes) but then also adds in a few that you wouldn't always see (such as one of my favourites 'The Shrimp Po Boy'). So it wasn't a case of whether I would order the wrong thing but that absolutely everything was right, making for a challenging decision.
I eventually chose the Lumberjack breakfast as it did seem the most fitting to my situation, Hanging Brunch! The food was nice and filling (I'm ashamed to say I didn't finish the pancakes), with the only minor issue being that the eggs could've had more seasoning. Although when drowned in maple syrup this isn't a huge concern. My friend ordered 'The Diablo' burger which can't really go too wrong. One quite big concern I had however was the fries on the side. They were basically just 'chip shop chips' which I was disappointed about, as I expect American style fries from a diner. This may just be me though!
The service was very friendly and helpful as due to my difficulty deciding I asked for advice between two meals. She gave me a straight up and confident answer which I found very helpful (especially from the perspective of a particularly indecisive fool). The price was a little on the expensive side but I didn't really feel too bad about it as the food was worth it and gave me exactly what I wanted.
Overall I was impressed. As a restaurant with multiple locations, I can definitely see myself returning to one of the branches. Most likely wherever I end up the next 'morning after'!
I quite enjoyed my experience at The Diner. I popped in here for a quick bite to eat over lunch-time between shopping and enjoyed a philly-cheese steak - It was pretty good. The place had a bit of charm to it with the American style booths that we've all witness in movies. From what i remember the staff were friendly. It's not a fancy place but it did just fine for a lunch out and wanting to experience something a little out of the ordinary whilst in London.

My favourite thing about The Diner is that they leave you alone. Which is ironic because my other favourite thing is how nice the staff are. Let me explain...
This is a place where you can nestle into an American style booth and receive American style coffee refills until your heart is content (and beating like a caffeinated hurricane) while you work away at whatever secret project you have going at that moment on time. It has the potential to be a very intimate and friendly dining experience. When you do end up talking to the staff they are lovely beyond belief. I couldn't tell you this place was American without mentioning they can rustle up a decent burger and chips combo to top all of the other great aspects off.
I went to The Diner with a friend during a stressful revision spell. We were looking for a clean, airy place to work from. The Diner in Camden did the job with surprising aplomb. We took out our laptops, ordered a few fries, and worked all day long from a booth. Just as in an American diner, the coffees are subject to a free refill, and we mercilessly took advantage. Well, not too mercilessly. We tipped well. And we came back again for a repeat performance. It was the clean, airy place we'd been looking for, with a friendly and genial atmosphere.

I tried this American's dinner place in Camden, and it was pretty good! The service is very quick, and the food was delicious. They also have beers, but not a huge selection. The place has a nice vibe and cool atmosphere with some NBA games from the 90s on TV.
If you’re a fan of the American Diner experience this is a must do stop in Camden. It may not look too spectacular from the outside, but the inside has a good vibe and plenty of comfy booth seats to set the scene.
Burgers, hot dogs, mac and cheese and all the other classics are there alongside some decadent milkshakes. There’s even an “if you can finish it in 30 minutes it’s free” monster meal on the menu!
If I had any negative if that’s some staff are a bit glum, which jars badly against the traditional lively diner vibe. Thankfully most of the staff are awesome.

Had a breakfast hash. It was spicy and gorgeous. Couldn’t finish it. It filled me up from 11m till about 7pm. My friend had pancakes, i tried them and they were light and tasty.

Had the Breakfast Hash which looked appetising from the description and when it arrived it was a very well plated dish that looked attractive to eat, but was lacking in the main ingredients. Had the equivalent of 2 whole peppers sliced with a very small amount of Chorizo and potato hash. The flavour was amazing and we finished the whole dish but that's easy when the cheapest and lightest ingredient on the plate is peppers. Also, on the menu it states "Sunny sides up egg(s) but was 1 egg. Need to be clearer about the description as I could have ordered something else and enjoyed it more, especially for our first visit. Hopefully next time will be better!

We had the breakfast hash. It was really flavoursome but it wasn't what I expected. The dish was mostly made up of peppers with just a few cubed shaped potatoes and chorizo mixed in rather than the home style chips that it stated in the menu. It also said served with eggS sunny side up but only came with one egg. I believe a hash should be mainly potato based rather than pepper based. However, as mentioned, it was still a tasty dish.
I ate here 4 months ago and still think about the food and rave about it to everyone. My mom and I were visiting from South Africa and in the week we were in London this was by far my favourite meal. I had the vegan mac n cheese and waffle fries. I've tried hundreds of vegan mac n cheeses, this was THE best, ever 😍 Staff was also super nice and the vibe was awesome

Ordered thick shake and selection of food between two.
Shake was good, and all food was tasty and definitely not greasy…in particular wings and tater tots I enjoyed the most.
Service was good…only downside was it’s very cold inside so wrap up warm.

Another great place to have breakfast and when I say breakfast I mean pancakes and syrup. I’ve also had Buffolo wings and blue cheese, sadly I have no photos, I ate them too quickly and forgot “whoops” This is a American style diner with a really nice atmosphere, really well decorated great pictures on the wall, really immersive feel to it when you are inside. Today was my third visit and I am pleased to say it has been consistently good. I love the staff at this place they are really hard working and professional.
It really makes the food taste better if you are served by friendly faces and good attitude. I felt like a secret shopper on each visit knowing that I was at some point going to write a review. I think it’s only fair to shoutout the staff that served on each occasion and sometimes twice and each time they were consistently the same which thankfully was good. Don’t expect a cheap experience simply because of the location it’s in the middle of Camden so the prices reflect that, but the food is good and the service is good so it’s worth it.
The building has a fantastic roof terrace also which adds to the experience. Outside they have loads of seating, today the outside was full so I sat inside which is just as good. They also have a fantastic range of drinks at the bar so you can eat and drink yourself to happiness.
This place is located just off the main Camden high road just seconds away from all of the hustle and bustle but you can still feel the vibe of the crowds but you are just far enough away to relax. Anna has served me on several occasions and I must say she is great and a credit to this establishment “big up to Anna” and also I got great service from Nathalie who can be found most times behind the bar, she was great and was consistently great following several visits.
This morning I was served by Angela who made sure I was ok, and that my food was good without being annoying which is always a plus. My experience at this place is very positive and I recommend it for a great American diner experience, let me know how your visit went. Hope you like the photos.
Great breakfast in Camden! Nice place, friendly service and excellent value for money.
Came here on travel with my mother and we adored it. Sat outside and off the bat we had a very sweet and friendly waitress Mama. The other staff were very friendly as well. The drinks and the food that were suggested to be good did not disappoint at all! We got the sassy ciders which had us feeling pretty good and was delicious. The ramen chicken sandwich I was nervous about but Mama said it was actually really good and she was absolutely right. It’s a genius idea and the portion was perfect. We left there happy and full.
The food was scrumptious, burgers tasted fresh and flavourful. The waffle fries were cooked perfectly, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Will definitely return here, especially for the prices as they are affordable!
