The food here is divine. I had the Gado Gado Chau and my daughter had the mushroom lasagne (one of today's specials). The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend it here, even if, like me, you are not vegetarian, let alone vegan. I would definitely visit here again now I've found it.

My friend and I were in London for Veg Fest UK on Saturday 21 Oct. We walked to Bethnall Green from Euston especially to eat brunch at The Gallery Cafe. We were not disappointed, lovely friendly staff, super quick service and the menu range was amazing, such a wide choice and not expensive at all. Our meals were delicious, we had Turmeric Lattes, Avocado on toast, the superfood Oat Bowl and Choc and Banana Pancakes. Portion sizes were brilliant too - big! Just how I like my meal :) Thank you Gallery Cafe for making our London visit fabulous !!! We will be back x

We stayed in Bethnal Green for a festival over the weekend and The Gallery Cafe came up on our search for a vegan breakfast. We liked it so much that we went back the second morning, too. Food and drinks all top notch. Between us over the two days we had avocado toast, the full English breakfast and pancakes with fruit plus coffee and mocha. Staff were friendly and it was lovely to sit in the garden. Will definitely be back.

Such a lovely cafe with good space inside as well as a nice front garden with a good quantity of benches. I had the vegan burger, which was the best I've had. Really pleasant atmosphere and lovely staff. Thank you.

From a slightly different perspective, the performer's side. I have performed there with my contemporary jazz band and it's a great venue for alternative arty music with all the paintings exhibition and like minded audience. Was just the perfect atmosphere.

So happy the Gallery cafe have gone vegan!!! Well done! Let’s hope more will learn from your example- that compassionate eating is not a compromise on taste- it’s the opposite!

Lovely cafe with delicious vegan English Breakfast. I was looking for a place to have a vegan version of a genuine English fry-up and the Gallery Cafe did not disappoint!

It's a small cafe, comfortable seating inside and some lovely tables in a tiny front yard.

The cafe serves only vegetarian and vegan food and profits go to St Margaret's House which this cafe is a part of.

I just wanted an evening coffee after my museum (Childhood) visit and this place looked more exciting than the standard in-house Benugo.

I'm so glad I went here, lovely coffee, polite staff and an amazing coffee walnut cupcake chockfull of walnuts.

It would take a lot for me to visit a vegetarian place for a meal, but I'd go back for coffee and a pastry anytime.

The Gallery Cafe is run by St. Margaret House and is a not for profit venture. The vegetarian/vegan menu is lovely with daily deals, decent coffee and friendly staff. The atmosphere is really nice and the cafe puts on all sorts of evening events including music and films. There's also yoga on a Wednesday at the back from 18.30-19.30 and afterwards you can enjoy a £5 pizza!

Beautiful cafe with delicious locally sourced foods and also serves as an art gallery!

The interior of this cafe is incredible, its huge with so much natural light which is hard to come by in many London cafes. The outdoor garden is beautiful filled with wild flowers and perfect for the warmer weather.

We just stopped in for an afternoon coffee however I wish we had came for lunch! Everything on the menu sounded delicious, mostly vegetarian and all well priced.

We instead both had hot chocolates which were amazing, so rich and creamy and there was definitely no skimping on the chocolate part! We also shared a little friand/muffin which was light and fluffy with blueberries.

The perfect place for a peaceful afternoon snack or a nice lunch outside in the courtyard!

Great vegan cafe with nice 'healthy' options. I chose a small salad plate food where one can add 4 options - these are limited though and would be good to stretch it out (the large plate has falafel and other extras you cannot choose on the small). Was a good lunch, but could be tastier with sauces or more seasoning. The cake my friend had was a bit on the dry side but fine with the nice latte.

Always a wonderful location to visit. Been eating here for over 20 years at least. Returned after a long time this weekend to discover it thankfully remains the same and not devoured by local developments in Bethnal Green! Super tasty food choices, all healthy vegan options. Sat outside in the garden and felt a world away from the hustle of everyday life outside on the main streets. It's a wonderful little mecca to relax for a moment. I love the large salads and cakes. Yes, I can't resist the sweet treats :-)

What a cutie! This was our first choice to have brunch on a sunny Saturday in London. The English breakfast was beyond perfect with the grilled tempeh, scrambled tofu, the spicy potatoes crunchy and soft with the fresh tomatoes on the side… yummy. Also, we asked the bread with the tofu and hollandaise sauce and, I cannot describe it better than: marvelous. To finish, we tried the blondie and the lemon cake. The blondie was delicious without a lot of sugar which was a huge highlight for me 🌱💚

Wonderful vegan restaurant, fantastic food every time. Unfortunately most of their savoury food was sold out by the time we went there and when they changed over to the lunch menu, one of the mains sold out instantly. Hopefully they make more of the savoury food at the weekends. Regardless of things selling out, I would go here every time I'm in Bethnal Green

A brunch here is a must whenever we come to London. The English breakfast is very good, the croissant was excellent, however the pancakes were too chewy .. Also try the back garden to spend a relaxing moment eating good vegan food!

The best chai tea latte I've ever had! It tasted homemade for me. Loved the back garden especially during the warm weather last Saturday. The staff are very nice and friendly.

I visited Gallery Cafe for a breakfast. The place is 100% vegan which is amazing, and there are plenty of breakfast options. There is a nice terrace and the customer service was friendly and fairly quick. 4 stars instead of 5 because the place looks a bit run down and needs refurbishment. Also, I ordered a cappuccino & the full English Breakfast. My cappuccino was great but the breakfast was just average. Next time I will try something else. Positive experience overall & will certainly be back.

We visited for lunch after going to the Young V&A and I'm so glad we did! The food was all delicious and portion sizes were great. Children are well catered for and we even went back for the doughnuts too. Such a great find and we'll definitely be back!
