I loved this Greek restaurant. Here I ate the best grilled Haloumi cheese. Pitta bread, Kalamarakia and potatoes were very good! The portions were generous and the staff was very kind with us.
Vine Leaves, Shepherd's Bush. Fantastic food, freshly cooked, relaxing atmosphere and helpful service. A really good night out! And reasonable prices - highly recommended.
Big portions and family atmosphere. We had lamb leg with delicious sauce, prawns and calamari to start with. T-bone steak wash juicy and tender. We left full and happy having bottle of wine and everything with reasonable prices.
SO good! Really really flavourful and tasty dishes - all fresh and piping hot! As others have said, portions are MASSIVE, too. Although the place is a tad small and not the most glamorous of Greek restaurants, the menu is extensive, food is brilliant and so reasonably priced. Such a hidden gem!
Not many places like this left in London. Decent home cooking with massive portions, good price and served with a smile. Yes, decor is in need of refreshing but it's all about food...
Mixed grill and shish kofta were great, came with refreshing salad. Kids meatballs didn't go with our little one as they are heavy on mint... overall great expirence and value for money. I would most likely advice owner to slim down menu - tad overwhelming with choice...
What a wonderful surprise to find this authentic Greek food restaurant on our way home through Shepherd's Bush. Fantastic food, freshly prepared and lovingly presented by the owners Sam and Evi who have been 31 years in the business. If you want good food, great wine, excellent quality and super friendly service this the place to come.
Came here last night for the first time as I've just moved nearby - I loved it.
Went with two friends and one had a mixed grill, the other two of us shared mezze plates. Nice selection of starters/mezze and everything tasted great.
The waitress was absolutely lovely we had a nice chat and laugh with her - such friendly service really took it from just enjoying good food, to a great experience all round.
Will definitely be back asap.

The good part is the food - Traditional Greek dishes done well. I ordered a starter of Spanakopita - Spiniach and Feta pastries as a starter which were crisp and filling followed by a beef Stifado which was rich and tender all accompined by a Mythos beer. This reminds me of my Greek Island holidays here in London. The owner clearly loves the food they cook and are proud of it. The trap they have fallen into is oversized portions. My portion was about three times too big and accompanied by a admittedly fresh and tasty salad, but one I didnt order. My advice to the owner is cut your portions by about a half to a third, drop your prices slightly and you should see your footfall increase because this little taverna deserves an atmosphere to match the cooking. The decor is also a bit tired. Just removing the forest of plants and trellace from the frobt windows would make things seem much more welcoming.
I have been a regular at this restaurant for 15 years. The food is wonderful - a very good range of dishes, always freshly cooked, delicious and piping hot. The portions are huge - I usually take home a doggy bag and have a good lunch the next day. My favourites are Shish Kofta, Sea Bass, Kleftico, Chicken Soliatico. If you are feeling ravenous, the sharing platters or full meze are all excellent. This place is only a short walk from Westfield and twice the value of the restaurants there.
If you want an authentic, independent Greek dining experience look no further.
Shamefully, I have lived a two minute walk from here for months now without visiting. I went with some friends last night and it was a revelation.
Warm, cosy and welcoming, the staff are very good hosts who make you feel at home.
We had a couple of carafes of wine and the mix meze - the best choice if you want variety.
The waitress brought dish after dish of delicious, traditional greek dishes. We had a vegetarian in our group and on being told this they made special efforts to make sure she had enough to eat as well.
That said, the grilled meats that constituted the main course were excellent, well marinated and full of smokey grilled flavour.
A hidden gem. We'll definitely be back.
Visited here on New year's eve. Had a delicious steak meal. Massive portion, reasonable price. Will definately return when next in London.
My partner and I live just across the road from this place and it is our local, we go there everytime when heading out for tea. We never usually get a main as we just get everything in the starters section (Meze). For £2-£4 for a starter we get quite a few different selections and its such great food. Nice and fresh and service is very quick! I recommend this to anyone who wants a descent Greek meal for an awsome price!!!

I've been a frequent visitor to the family-run Vine Leaves Taverna since it first opened. I enjoy the generous portions of real home-cooked food, served in a friendly yet intimate atmosphere, and all at a reasonable price. The surprising variety of dishes making up a Mixed Meze is usually more than ample for a tasty lunch with friends, although my personal favourites are Kleftiko and, more recently, Chicken Kotopoulo Lemonato. It's a great, reliable restaurant.
