Pleasantly surprised by the excellent food. Really nice staff and warm atmosphere. A fusion of delicious mediterranean dishes with a hint of middle eastern influences.

Similar concept to Moro and Morito.  Tapas/mezzes spanning a wide region that starts in Spain and ends in the Levant.  Every bit as good as Morito and maybe even better.  All of the dishes were inventive and modern.  The head chef is ex Salt Yard.

Nice atmosphere in what used to be a bicycle repair shop.  We sat at an outdoor table but I noticed good acoustics inside when I went to use the loo.  Food arrived surprisingly swiftly. Tomorrow July 16 2017 is the last day of their soft launch.  Scroll into the Offers section of the Hot Dinners website for instructions on getting the launch discount if you plan to go tomorrow.  I was surprised to see a few free tables on a Saturday night during the soft launch period.

We started with picos blue and date croquetas.  Not too greasy, not too rich, and intriguingly complex in flavour.  Dressed with roasted walnuts and cumin alioli.  Sea bream with puy lentils, avocado puree, soft goats cheese and gremolata was good too.  Perfectly al dente lentils.  I found my first mouthful a little under seasoned, but eating other parts of the dish with a little bite of the salty chevre rendered it perfect.  Beautifully cooked fish with a nice crisp skin.

Next to arrive were the pinchos.  We were a little confused because we were expecting Basque style pinchos which are tapas toppings skewered to bread.  But pinchos (meaning skewers) were grilled meat skewers at Tuyo.  I had the duck and fig and my companion harissa lamb rump.   All of the meat was perfectly cooked, tender and pink.  The duck came with half a grilled fig and a charred padron pepper.  It was sitting on chewy pearl barley dressed with chunks of smoked almonds, pomegranate seeds and gremolata.   The addition of carrot puree added colour but not much flavour.  The lamb came with a smear of harissa on a bed of tasty couscous containing chopped olives and pistachio.  My only criticism is that both starchy beds would have benefited with a stronger herbal green note. A sprinkle coriander, basil, chive or mint would have lifted the dish to the next dimension.

Our final dish of grilled artichokes was maybe the most conventional of the evening.  My companion found the artichokes themselves too acidic, but eaten with all of the other garnishes I considered the dish to be well balanced.  The accompanying ingredients were feta, parmesan shavings and edamame all drizzled with sweet pomegranate molasses.

The desserts were enormous.  The tiramisu filled a large teacup.  A non traditional version with banana and pecan cake soaked in marsala and coffee syrup instead of the usual lady fingers in amaretto and expresso.  I had a deconstructed modernized baklava.  Made with sheets of mille feuille, toasted almond flakes and candied walnuts.  Between the layers of pastry was a light sweetened yoghurt cream instead of the traditional honey so it was not cloyingly sweet like a classic baklava.  It was served with cubes of mango, micro mint and toasted short bread crumbs for texture.  We probably should have shared a dessert because we both left very full indeed.

We drank a bottle of house red.  Nothing special, but quaffable and great value at £17.50.  In retrospect every dish was really well thought out with respect to both taste and texture.  Everything was perfectly executed too.  At full price our copious meal for two would have been £73 including service, which is excellent value given both the ingenious menu and calibre of cooking.

Good brunch, generous portions and interesting choices. I thought that the best thing about the restaurant however was the ambience, as it is an open space facing the canal with outdoor seating facing the street. Staff were also extremely nice; they usually only do brunch until 130 but when my friend and I asked if they could extend by 30’ as we were not going to arrive before they gladly accepted. Will be back to try the non-brunch menu.

Pretty good food all round. Nothing rave worthy but everything was tasty and flavoursome. I thought the size of the fish dish was on the small size compared to the other bigger plate dishes. Cocktail lacked punchy flavour and had a lot of ice which was a shame for the £8.50 price tag. Staff were friendly and prompt. A couple of them floated around and didn’t look very smart though. An all round good meal but with a few things that could be improved.

Went for dinner during the soft launch and overall it was good. Nice atmosphere and staff are helpful. The tapas dishes aren’t that big so you need to order quite a bit. Some of the dishes are really good, others just ok. The chicken in particular was a bit bland and dry. But overall was a good dinner.

Fantastic fresh food with good seasoning. Some dishes can be improved though. For example, felt like in my dessert too much mascarpone but not enough cake at the bottom. The duck was slightly bland. Only one disabled toilet for whole restaurant...

Eat here. Well worth the extra few steps over the bridge from Broadway Market; nothing there is better. The jamon croquettes were as good as I’ve had in London, and the octopus was perfectly cooked. All the dishes are interesting, and the chocolate surprise was a great way to end the meal. Lovely staff, too.

Lovely cafe, the big windows and high ceilings give it a lovely welcoming feel. O went there with a big group of friends just for a coffee. The service was great, coffee was tasty, I'll have to come back and try the food which seemed to be not that pricey.

Mighty fantastic place! I'd say: come with a big group (at least 5) and just order almost everything on the menu to share. Highlights are: oxtail croquetas, duck breast, chicken.

Loved the brunch. Some reviews said service was fast, but for our group it was very slow. Still good food and nice staff.

While looking were to eat today we accidentally noticed that there is new restaurant on Pritchard's Rd. We have been to all restaurants on Broadway market so it was a nice surprise to find something new. Firstly, the waiting staff is amazing. At some point my fiancee said that even if the food won't be good we will leave in a good spirits :) and food was amazing. flavours are magic. Halloumi burger was really good and 'Poached eggs, smoked baba ganouche and preserved lemons, chilli & sumac gremolata served with sourdough read' something on another level. We already recommendedthe restaurant to our friends and coming back.

Nice small tapas/brunch place just off Broadway market. Really popular on Saturdays with plenty seats outside to enjoy on a sunny day. The visit did not start well at all as the only one thing we ordered for food (a super tasty tiny bellota burger) as we just stopped for a quick bite was really really delayed. When asked the waiter he said that the kitchen dropped it and had to remake it; however no one came to inform us after 30' wait. The response and attentiveness of the manager (a Turkish gentleman) was just amazing: he offered us another round of coffees and apologised in the sweetest and most polite way. I was genuinely surprised from his response and would like to thank him again. If it wasn't for him, we would never go back. The brunch menu ends at 1pm so we didn't have the chance to try but everything looked delicious and we will plan to go back.

ulalalalala I was already mesmerized with the presentation. But the joy starts right from the first step into the Restaurant - cosy decorated restaurant looked after by friendly and sincire staff. P.s. make sure you ask about the history of the beer they serve. You will also be amazed by that too!

Excellent food. The Spanish + Middle Eastern twist works really well, and the dishes are well presented. Loved the octopus, the monk fish. Went on a Friday night and the atmosphere was relaxed, not too busy. Good value for money.

Really great new place! Had a fantastic meal here, lovely atmosphere and kind, attentive staff. Food was both clever and delicious. We will definitely be coming back. My only suggestion is to order a few things at a time - the food arrived very quickly so at one point we were rushing slightly to avoid disappearing under piles of glorious food! Not the worst problem really...
