It was our first time eating Japanese food and the girl who was looking after our table was excellent in her work , she explained the dishes to us and we had an excellent meal and evening , forgot to ask the server her name but would like to thank you for looking after us . Loved our visit last week. It was very busy but we were seated very quickly. Food came really fast. Drinks took a while, but worth the wait. Friendly service, best Ramen I have ever had. Highly recommend. :)

We usually travel into London to get a decent Ramen but for a change visited your Oxford restaurant today. It's the first time we have experienced your take on Ramen and imho this is the best I've tasted so far. My girlfriend who's birthday it was has spent a lot of time in Japan and says it's the best Ramen she's had since her return 4 years ago. We mentioned in passing that we had come there from out of town as it was a birthday and couldn't believe it when after the main nearly every member of staff came out singing happy birthday and presented us with an assortment of free puddings which was the perfect end to a great day. Fabtastic food, fantastic atmosphere, fantastic staff !

Absolutely brilliant. The service was quick and friendly, and the ramen was incredible. For anyone looking for authentic ramen I'd highly recommend this one. We were in and out in about 40 minutes, yet never felt rushed. Great food and great service, definitely want to go back!

Firstly the food was amazing! Everything was so so delicious and you could tell that real effort went into the choice of ingredients and presentation of each dish. And secondly the customer service was really brilliant, we were being served at one point by a lovely man named Nelson and he told us a really great story about how he got his name (as mine and my sisters surname is Nelson). We also got served at some points by a woman called Sophie who really interacted with the customers (e.g showing how to use chopsticks or just making really genuine conversation). Overall it really made a difference and made our experience in the resteraunt really fun! Thanks so much

Visited the Manchester restaurant for the first time when husband took me for lunch. What a great place with really friendly staff. The manager told us of the special offers available which saved us a nice bit of money, he was also kind enough to bring me some freshly squeezed lime & sugar syrup to go in my soda since they didn't have cordial, it tasted way better than cordial too! Definitely will return next time im in Manchester

The buns are to die for. The vegeterian one is bomb! Have it almost every week! However the prawn tempura one needs another sauce or more sauce. Love this place

Before visiting, I had my doubts about the restaurant. I thought paying £10+ for ramen was ridiculous but this one was so worth it. I ordered the White Natural ramen and for dessert: matcha ice cream and strawberry cake. So how was the food?. It was amazing. The white natural ramen is made with soy milk, miso, konbu and shiitake broth. Although it sounds strange, the broth was heavenly, it was rich yet light and packed with flavour. The soy milk gave it a creamy taste whilst the miso and shiitake broth helped to tone down the sweetness and bring out the earthy savouriness. The noodles were made al dente which gave it a little bite. The noodles were lightly seasoned and was delicious by itself. However, together it was heavenly. Kudos Shoryu!

A little birdie told us that Shoryu were due to open their 6th branch in London. So when we found out about it’s soft launch,  we couldn’t not get ourselves down there to check it out! This newest location is in London’s Covent Garden and with such a central location, there was of course a queue to get inside.

We visited on their soft opening with 50% off on their ramen. We finally got our table after almost an hour wait. The staff were friendly but the service was ok.

We ordered:

Wagyu Bun- Sadly though, there was just not enough of the beef inside out bun. We also felt it was a little overcooked. Having said that, the other ingredients accompanying the beef were more interesting.

Hakata Tetsunabe Gyoza- The gyozas were served on a cast-iron skillet and had a side dipping sauce of soy and wasabi. The pork was tender and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients used. The flavours could've been bolder but overall the gyozas weren't bad and were worth the try.

Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu- their signature tonkotsu ramen. heir rich pork broth is creamy and packed with flavours. The pork itself was thinly sliced and it was so tender that hardly any effort was needed to chew it. The toppings included nitamago egg, kikurage mushrooms, spring onion, sesame, ginger, nori seaweed. So good!

Curry Ramen - this ramen was an absolute joy to eat. It had the creaminess and thick consistency of the pork broth that Shoryu prides themselves in, yet still maintaining the rich flavours and spice of a Japanese curry. The chicken karaage pieces were a little dry, but once soaked up in the curry broth, it was really tender and flavourful. A must try if you come to Shoryu

We ended our meal with Matcha Azuki Rolled Cake. As Matcha Fans, we love the bittersweet taste of the Matcha, but sadly we could not taste any Matcha-ness other than the dusting from the matcha powder. The filling inside was like a buttercream with sweet red beans mixed in. Not impressed.

Overall we really like our ramen than their starters and dessert. We might give higher score if we were there for the ramen...

The food was tasty, and the cocktail was delicious. There was a mix-up, and I was given the wrong order, a more expensive dish than the one in the offer, which I did not realise until they mentioned. Overall, we had a nice experience, the restaurant was clean and the service quick, although we did go at time when it wasn't very busy so I'm not sure what it would be like later in the evening.

Highly recommend the chicken karaage! I liked the miso wafu ramen, however I prefer other ramen restaurants in London. I found the broth here wasn’t as good and didn’t deliver on the umami flavour. Unlike other ramen restaurants, they didn’t ask how firm I wanted the noodles and I forgot to specify when ordering. They take bookings online.

It was my first time trying a ramen restaurant, and whilst I was apprehensive, I was left feeling incredibly satisfied by the food we were served. The waiters were very friendly, we tried the veg bun, which had a tofu filling that was tasty & soya mince ramen, which didn't look very appetising but was deliciously filling. For dessert, the Sakura roll was lovely.

Shoryu Ramen is a popular Japanese restaurant located in the heart of London. The menu offers a variety of ramen bowls, as well as some small plates and sides. A colleague recommended it and I am glad I went to try it out. Atmosphere: The atmosphere at Shoryu Ramen is casual and welcoming, with comfortable seating and pleasant decor. The only downside is that the restaurant can get quite busy during peak hours, so it's best to arrive early or make a reservation. Service: The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the service is prompt and attentive. Their welcome gong is a kitsch but cute touch. Food and Drink: The food at Shoryu Ramen is delicious and authentic, with rich broths and perfectly cooked noodles. The signature Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu ramen is a standout, with a creamy pork broth and tender slices of pork. The Takoyaki is delicious and a must-have. You can't go wrong with the Ramen here and I will definitely be back for a Lunch here! The pork buns I was less impressed by, we ordered the Char Siu ones but they tasted like Kimchi and were rather bland with no kick to them so they may have messed up our order. Price: The prices at Shoryu Ramen are reasonable for the quality of the food, making it a great option for a casual meal or a night out with friends. Overall, Shoryu Ramen is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Ramen in London. The food is flavorful and well-prepared, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the prices are reasonable.

Shoryu is always very satisfying. Love the ramen and Tuesday takoyaki. I went there with my in-laws, it was their first time at a ramen place and one of them is lactose intolerant. The waitress was very attentive and available to all requests even if she seemed to be alone on the floor. Definitely going back.

I had never tried ramen before and I chose this place since I read it had an excellent quality - these reviews were not mistaken. Even though I don’t have previous experiences to compare this one with, I can say I truly enjoyed it. The food was amazing, with flavors so complex that I couldn’t even try to emulate at home. Prices were reasonable and the staff was really helpful in guiding us on what each dish was about. I strongly recommend it.

If you are a fan of Ramen, go for it. You have never tried Ramen, go for it. The food is super good and the service is good too. The price is decent. The ambience seems good and peaceful. You also have an option to manipulate the flavours using chilli oil, soy, garlic, sesame etc.

Well priced, good flavours and nice service. Portion sizes are fairly large and there's a nice mocktail and cocktail menu to choose from. We got two entries, two ramen bowls and two mocktails costing just over £60

It’s hard to find something that beats a warm bowl of umami-rich soup with springy ramen noodles on a chilly or rainy day in London. Topped with juicy slices of pork or chicken, fresh vegetables, and skilfully prepared runny-yolk onsen egg, each Shoryu bowl is guaranteed satisfaction.

Food is OK, space is a bit tight, service could be a bit better. A little pricey. Not great but it’s acceptable if you want a quick ramen.

Cool Japanese Ramen place in Covent Garden serving great food, cocktails and beer. Cosy ambience with cool decor. Staff are friendly and helpful. The chicken katsu curry ramen was real heart warming comfort food. Might have to wait for a table at busy times, but it will be worth the wait.

the food is good. however, the staff are not very keen to serve and allow customers going into the restaurant. they hold the bowl of noodles chit-chat awhile before delivering to customers. they added 12.5% service charge to the bill but it doesn't worth it. however, the noodles and food is good.
