Came to launch party on Wednesday it was fantastic! Leigh the manager was so great and really looked after us all - we are already booked for Sunday lunch. Great cocktails & my hubby loved the wide beer selection. Saw some young families also and plenty of board games to keep the kids busy. Thanks all the team for a great night.

sun, guiness and island queen halloumi fries, sensational. i can't help but have these every time i go island queen. calamari is decent too and the rest of the menu looks nice, but it's all about the halloumi

Hidden away in a quiet residential street is this charming old pub full of character. There are many wooden tables, which were all reserved for the evening so must be very popular in the evenings. We visitedon a warm Saturday afternoon for a quiet lunch. There are huge beautiful mirrors inside the entire pub, a collection of old paintings and artefacts, and a giant Roman female statue. Thankfully music was not being played so we could hear our own conversations without shouting. There are a couple of tables outside the entrance. There's also a quaint dining room upstairs with tables and chairs. Could do with more bar staff, however, the two who were serving were very polite. There is quite a diverse menu. We opted for three small plates for £16 which were very nice and pleasantly surprised at the large portions too. The cheeseburger was well cooked (which I prefer) and well garnished. It's a lovely pub to while away a quiet afternoon whilst enjoying a nice meal.

Gorgeous little pub, one of the best in Angel! Old school interior with a friendly and cosy vibe, good drink selection and food too.

It's a gorgeous hidden little gem 🖤💎🖤... with lush, authentic art deco decor - right next to some charming canal walks. Amazing staff too - so relaxed yet professional, knowledgeable and helpful. They have excellent safety measures in place and delightful food! We had an amazing time and it was so much more affordable than the high Street. I've been popping in since I lived up the Rd 10 years ago - so pleased it's still OK.

We have had the most wonderful lunch at The Island Queen today. Amazing food, staff and atmosphere. The pub did everything to make my 60th birthday celebration with my family very special. The food was hot and plentiful and we all ate at the same time. 24 of us so no mean feat! The staff worked so hard while we all enjoyed the moment ! . Not everyone had the roast so our menu was very varied. Steak/Fish and Chips/ Burgers as well as starters. Portions very generous and totally good value for the money. Many thanks to the whole team. Hope you each enjoyed my birthday cake! Well deserved. A very chilled out and relaxing day. Will definitely be back and soon. X

The Island Queen is a charming and lively pub that offers a cosy atmosphere that's perfect for a few quiet pints in the week, a more lively Friday/Saturday night out or a chilled weekend afternoon visit. Tucked away on a quiet back street, the pub is full of character and has a warm and welcoming vibe. The comfortable seating, low lighting, and wooden furnishings create a cosy and inviting ambiance. It has a fantastic beer selection with a great variety of local and international brews on tap. The staff are friendly, helpful and will let you try some to find one you like. The food is also top-notch, with a varied menu that offers something for everyone. From classic pub grub to more refined dishes, the food is always fresh and tasty. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it an excellent spot for lunch or dinner. Overall, The Island Queen is a gem of a pub that's worth seeking out. With its charming decor, friendly staff, great beer selection, and delicious food, it's the perfect spot for a relaxed night out with friends.
