If you want a real Italian food this is it. Family owned. We loved every single bit! Proper home made Italian dishes made by Italians who love their food and good Italian wine. Try artichokes for starters and dont forget the dessert! Chocolate fondant cake was mind- blowing! And so was apple slice. Highly recommend.
What a lovely new find in Primrose Hill! We sampled quite a few starters - sea bass tartare and octopus salad were my favourites! Simple yet great Italian menu and such a warm welcome by the staff. Complimentary glass of prosecco never goes amiss either (probably just an opening offer ;), they’ve only been operating for a week)!
Really authentic Italian food: small menu but everything is just so good.
Very friendly atmosphere, delicious food, nice owner and even chef comes for a chat! Perfect.
Step into this unassuming local Italian and be surprised. Let Antonio and his team delight you with fresh authentic pasta dishes and seafood from Billingsgate Market. A Primrose Hill gem.
This place is fantastic, what a great addition to the area. We went on a Sunday evening with my young daughter and we were all delighted with our meal. It is so nice to have a local Italian that believes in fresh, seasonal, quality ingredients cooked to perfection. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating to our whole family. We are looking forward to going back.
Great simple Italian food from great quality products. Parmigiana not oily, great homemade pasta, great tiramisu not too sweet. Very friendly welcome, from a wine passionate, they are switching to all organic products for their cooking. Just as a note, you could make the decor a bit warmer, but we’ll be back !
Antonio and the staff are exceptionally welcoming and enthusiastic about the quality of the food. When the food arrived I realised why - truly exceptional, above what I normally experience in London.
We had dish of the day ravioli - with spinach and ricotta cheese, and then others with pumpkin - simply completely different to any other ravioli I had previously tasted.
I would also say the restaurant is very comfortable and well laid out so you can have a really nice intimate meal and good conversation with friends, all over some delicious food and with friendly staff - what's not too like ?!
It's so great to have this excellent new restaurant in our local area; it is going to be a major benefit for us, hopefully for many many years to come ...
Just superb dishes, the fresh bread they brought to start with was delicious. Then came a chicken milanese that I wouldn't forget for a long time :)
The chocolate fondant for dessert was a great way to top it all off
This is a gem of a restaurant, would definitely be back soon
Love this place, food and service are always excellent. Really amazing too with kids. Sat outside on a hot day eating amazing seafood pasta, got an authentic holiday feel. We come approx once a week, love it. Was recommended by an italain colleague who loves his food!
This is a wonderful new restaurant. The guys who run it are delightful, and clearly take great care and pride in providing the best quality and most delicious dishes. The artichoke lasagne was superb. I look forward to going back so I can try all the dishes!
A truly delicious dinner at this newly opened unassuming restaurant. I'm with the bloke that said he'd give it 6 stars if he could! Deep flavours of a standard you don't usually find outside of Italy. Everything sang. Lovely welcome, couldn't do enough to make us at home, including many gratis items just because they wanted us to try things they loved that we hadn't ordered. Please do not be put off by the very simple, low key look of the place. Promise you won't be sorry!
We’ve been here twice and have found it outstanding; we’ll certainly go again. It’s a quiet, unassuming restaurant; informal atmosphere with helpful, smiley staff. The boss, Antonio, sets the tone; both he and the restaurant reminded us a bit of Inspector Montalbano. We’ve lived in the Primrose Hill area for over 50 years and have been to just about every restaurant there is; this has to be one of the very best. For starters, yesterday, we had sea bass tartare with avocado and lime, also baked aubergine with parmigiana – both excellent, even distinguished. We then had spaghetti with Sardinian bottarga – simple and delicious. We didn’t explore the wine list; just went for the well-chilled house white. The price seemed very reasonable – anyway significantly lower than for most other restaurants around – Charles and Caroline. THREE MONTHS LATER. We went back for our third visit, this time with good friend Clare, so we got to taste each other's meals. I think it gets better and better. It’s got to be my favourite restaurant in Primrose Hill: very friendly, informal, authentic Italian and competitively priced. Highly and confidently recommended
A new family style Italian restaurant serving simple yet very fresh seafood and good quality organic steak from Italy. I highly recommend the seabass tartare, rib eye and grilled calamari. We have been twice with our toddler who ate everything and loves the spaghetti with bottarga. The jovial front of house Antonio loves a good chat about food and wine!
I'd give it at least a six if I could. Amongst the best food I've had in London. Incredible cheese and charcuterie. Burgers my wife had to admit even better than hers. Clam pasta too good to describe.
The place and menu are very simple but the food is really very good.
The beef tagliata was amazing like the parmigiana really was made in Italian stile.I will definitely come back.
