Hazev is a gorgeous place which has three sections - Cafe, restaurant and a bar. It is situated by the Thames at a prime location in Canary Wharf. Perfectly located, the Cafe offers an indoor seating and an alfresco dining area too. They specialize in Turkish cuisine and have an amazing menu to choose from. I moved to this area only last wee and have been there thrice already! Twice for coffee and once for dinner with a few friends. The interiors have a Turkish look and feel and I really like it.

Baklava is one of the best I've ever had. It goes perfectly well with a cup of Turkish coffee. Their dinner options are rich in taste and have a good portion size, in general. I tried their salmon pasta and loved the overall taste and subtle flavors in the dish.

This place is a must try if you happen to be in this area. I live right beside it, so I'm surely going to visit it more often.

I have had a light sit down lunch here a few times and always enjoyed it. The lunch bar has a good selection that is varied and flavourful.
I have also had dinner here with work colleagues. The setting was just right - smart but not formal. The food was excellent. We ordered the set menu which meant we had plenty of mezzes to share and a main course each. Good value for money. Good choice of wines. Delicious food. I would recommend.

If you are looking for turkish food, definitely one of the places to go. Nice decor - if you sit inside, brings you to Turkey and if you sit outside, you've got the nice view of the wharf. Try the kebabs - very moist, tender and flavourful.

Yine kıyma kebabı dışındaki tüm mangal çeşitlerini şiddetle tavsiye ederim. Özellikle kuşbaşıyı denemeniz lazım kuşbaşı, pirzoladan çıkarılıyor. Yani kemiksiz pirzolayı, kuşbaşı şeklinde mangalda meşe kömürünün aroması ile pişiriliyor. Marinasyonu özenle yapıldığı net belli. Hiç pişman olmayacaksınız

Menüde yemek isimlerinin orjinal isimlerinin kullanılması çok doğru, türk lokantaları maalesef hep kötü yerlerde açılırken bu kadar kaliteli restourant ile hizmet veren iş yeri sahibini kutlamak gerekir, kendisini tebrik ediyor en kısa zamanda mekanını tekrar ziyaret edip nefis yemeklerinden yiyip kendisiyle tanışmayı umuruyorum. Hazev has a restaurant and bar. There's a smaller, more casual restaurant portion which is perfect for some evening snack or lunch. Highly recommended if you're working in Canary Wharf. The quiches are absolutely great. Even their salads are a perfect serve for some healthy lunch. The other portion is for a little formal dinner. The bar area is pretty chilled. Costs about £10 per person for lunch.

I was taking a walk at Canary Wharf and came across this huge restaurant by the walkway. my friend has been wanting to try some Turkish food for a long time and this seemed to be perfectly place.
When am a vegetarian and I tried the Vegetarian Moussaka that comes with layers of Aubergine. I liked the Hummus and my friend seemed to enjoy Tavuk shish grill.
Love the fact that it's a huge restaurant & bar in London and love the ambience of the place.
Service is relatively slow but the staff seem friendly with a an accent and were kind enough to check how my vegetarian meal was too!

I stopped in at Hazev on my way to a show with the other half and was pleasantly surprised. It had a nice atmosphere, and because we were dressed up for the show they led us over to the fancier side of the restaurant where we were the only customers. The food is halal and was pretty good. We're definitely making plans to stop in again when we're not having to rush out of the door.

Hazev has one of the winning formulas, prime waterfront location by the bridge near Canary Wharf, surrounded by two big hotels Britannia and the Hilton . With the four different set menus available for a ridiculous cheap price, it’s no wonder it draws crowds all day and night.   Hazev is a Turkish restaurant roughly translated to “the joy of home”; the café section is open in the wee hours of the morning for coffee, tea, breakfast, sandwiches and sweet treats.

Nice place to relax for lunch. Although hazev may not be the best place for Turkish food in London, it certainly is one of the best places to eat among Canary Wharf's overcrowded chain of 'lunch' friendly takeaways such as pret, eat etc. etc. The bread at hazev is freshly baked everyday in the house, and a good lunch will consist of an assortment of meze dishes which are a bargain considering the portion sizes (3+ meze includes bread) which are almost equivalent to prices paid for when ordering a salad from chop'd.

The seating at the cafe is unique too; the chairs are very ornate as are the tables whist surrounded by a selection of cakes, other unique breads and pastries too.

I could just spend a nice sunny afternoon (if lunch were longer) at hazev.

Hazev is a Turkish restaurant roughly translated to “the joy of home”; the café section is open in the wee hours of the morning for coffee, tea, breakfast, sandwiches and sweet treats.

It was my friend’s birthday, with a party of 15 people she ordered the group set menu for all of us costing just £24.95.

The entry was a selection eight starter to share, Hazev uses cooking techniques from the Anatolian region. In the selection of starters we had humus, borek, mercimekli kofte, ispanakli yoghurt, zeytin yagli patlican, maydanoz salatasi, falafel and kisir.

For mains my heart was firmly set on my beloved moussaka, the amount I received was insane. A plate filled with layers of goodness, minced lamb, roasted aubergines, and potato slices with gooey cheese sauce.

Hazev is one of the not so hidden gems of Canary Wharf. In fact, it is so well known that it is sometimes impossible to find a table on a weekday evening, despite the generous space of the restaurant.

Weekend lunchtimes are a different story. You can have the restaurant to yourself if, like us, you decide to have a late lunch (at say 4 p. m.) It's quite a nice spot for a waterside lunch.

Today we went for some starters: karides tava (prawns in a tomato and garlic sauce), grilled hellim cheese and acili tavuk sote (spicy chicken patties in a tomato sauce) - all very good. My main was a safe bet: tavuk shish (chicken skewer) with a nice hot sauce on the side. My wife went for the yesil mercimekli levrek (fried sea bass fillet on a bed of lentils), which she wasn't particularly impressed with. We then shared a portion of nice baklava.

The service here is always friendly, even though some of the waiters have relatively poor English - somehow they make it work.

The place has recently opened in the neighborhood is already quite popular. We managed to get a window seat and were happy. The interiors mainly consist of wood carvings, wood tables and brown curtains. The service is swift and upon sitting, you are presented with a complimentary pita bread with hummus sauce and 8 olives. The drinks are also superb. The lamb dish was the star of the evening.

Hazev's Deli is all the way in South Quay, quite a travel from Central London. It is abuzz with quirky, friendly people, adorned with cosy chairs and mismatched tables. It offers a comfortable vibe, where one would not mind spending a few hours. Unlike the usual coffee shop menu, they offer something different. The most famous is a Turkish meze with the option of picking a mix of three different selections of fresh home baked bread.
Irrespective of the distance I have to travel to get there, I’d say it’s worth it. The food is out of this world!

Finished the early shift at work and on the way home my nose caught the scent of freshly baked goods. Unable to resist I followed the scent and walked in, first thing I noticed was a beautiful restaurant just by the water. Next thing I noticed, the waiters bringing out an array of pastries and pizzas fresh out of the oven.
If smell was anything to go by I knew that I'd regret not getting something so I got one of the freshly baked Turkish pizzas. It was a very enjoyable breakfast. Maybe it's psychological but there's something about seeing your food coming straight out of the oven onto your plate. Therefore,I really recommend going before 9 and that way you also beat the crowd.
I also felt the price was very good considering how nice this place was and the location. The staff seemed a bit tired but considering how early in the day it was we can let them off as they still offered excellent service.

When I pass by this place, it is always crowded, so I was curious and I wanted to try it, especially that I am not very familiar with Turkish food. The restaurant is very chic and classy. At lunch time, you almost only find people in suits coming from their surrounding Canary wharf offices. The service is impeccable. I had a moussaka , which was excellent. Their menu is very varied, so you have a good selection to choose from. I recommend you take a table at the terrace, if it's not too cold, as the view is amazing. It is just on the water, and you can also see the O2 arena.

Great neighborhood restaurant

Me and my friend wanted to have dinner in Canary wharf and ended up eating in this place. We reserved a table and got there around 9pm.

The menu of this place is wide and offers a lot of options. It’s mainly about Turkish cuisine which I found great.

From the moment we walked in the door until we left close to midnight we felt well cared for and well served. The space is elegant, but not at all stuffy. Tables are very generously spaced (rare in London) and the noise level was very comfortable.

The food was wonderful. We ordered three courses each and didn’t finish all of them. Portions are big enough to make you feel full with just two courses. So don’t overdo.

I recommend this place to all of those who want to try real Turkish cuisine without spending too much. But also, I suggest it if you are looking for an elegant place away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

Incredible location, which makes the experience of the restaurant so much better! The menu is similar to most other Turkish restaurants, however the food definitely didn't meet my expectations. I enjoyed the starters a lot more than the mains.

It was very difficult to get hold of a waiter at times which became very frustrating!

My experience with Hazev was a bit loopy but for personal reasons, so I would like to visit again on a date night to get another feel for what it's really like since I really enjoyed the atmosphere of it.

I lived next door to Hazev for three years, and it became a staple of life - a box of vegetarian salads, hummus and bread picked up at the deli, a very efficient takeaway service for Sunday no-cooking nights, and a lovely restaurant to meet friends after work. All my impressions of Turkish food are formed by Hazev - grilled meats, fresh and minty salads and tabbouleh, delicious sucuk izagara (sausages), bowls of creamy hummous, tomato based meat and vegetable dishes, plenty of warm fresh bread, and always always the bowl of spicy chilli sauce, order lots and share. Cheap and decent wine. The service is wonderful here, very friendly, and very good at managing these enormous platters of food, for large tables - have eaten here with 10 people and it's always very well managed. They do seem to have a large private room, but have never eaten there. The restaurant itself is pretty large, flanked by the deli and the bar, and it's always fairly busy, but never had a problem reserving/walking in. In the summer time, they have tables out by the canal, and lots of lovely plants and flowers - very pleasant for lunch.

Essentially simply Tas with bells on, Hazev makes a nice enough place to retreat to on a Friday night. That's not to say it was run of the mill - the atmosphere and decor were all at a high enough standard to give the place a certain quality you wouldn't find in its sister restaurants.

The food, however, was pretty much the same as any other Turkish place I've been to (a comment on my palate more than the food), although there was plenty of it for a decent enough price and the fact that they hosted over 20 of us without blinking an eye made this place somewhat of a winner.

Hazev is located right next to a small canal and sitting in the outdoor dining area (weather permitting) can be quite an experience. I've been here on numerous occasions and have tried a number of items from their menu. For starters their Kuzu Shish and Tavuk Shish come highly recommended. For mains try the Bademli Tavuk or Tavuk Guvech. The lamb moussaka was perhaps the only disappointment. Their assorted vegetarian meze platter is also worth trying. For dessert the baklawa is a must have. The staff here is competent however they may not appear very friendly, the reason could be that most of them do not have a good command over the Queen's language but on the flip side their pronunciation of the dishes on the menu was much better than mine!

In Canary Wharf, after a few drinks down you usually do not have much options for having dinner.
This Turkish restaurant, conveniently located in the heart of financial district on the waterfront, offers a good alternative to the conventional pub food.
The place is very spacious, I have never had to wait for too long to be seated even when I visited it with large group of friends. The ambiance is affable but the staff seems to be indifferent a few warm smiles and greetings would have made that little difference.
The menu is quite well balanced for vegetarians and non vegetarians. Borek, hellim and icli kofte are some of the recommended starters. There are numerous delicious main course dishes.Baklava is a must have dessert, its the best way to end your perfect meal.

There are a lot of eating joints in Canary Wharf but I if I were to recommend a Mediterranean- Lebanese restaurant ..It will be Hazev. The location is good. The decor is also pretty. The ambiance lights you up and gives you a feeling that you are having a proper dinner and not just hummus & breads on the go.

The menu is extensive and vegetarians do not get bogged down by the number of non- vegetarian dishes. I had vegetarian food and quiet liked it. Try the Mantar ..it is mushroom dish ..have not had that anywhere else. A good option will be to go with the fixed 3 course menu which is for 2 people. The quantity is good. They also accommodate and replace the non - veg dishes for other veg options.

Don't expect miracles from this place in middle of Canary Wharf. But go with realistic expectations and you are in for a pleasant surprise.

I always thought of this place to be Lebanese, turned out to be Turkish. Shows I am not the biggest expert on Arbio - Mediterranean cuisines, doesn't it?

The bread is good part (not many would appreciate) its warm, soft and almost smells of the oven. The starters were all good and fresh. For main course, try any of the casseroles, have found them to be all good. My favorite dish though has to lamb homous, dont miss this one for anything!

No restaurant in Canary Wharf makes as much of its setting as Hazev in South Quay. Situated on the water it looks out upon Dockland's shiny financial buildings, the pleasure craft moored in the dock and the elegant Ian Ritchie steel tube and cable footbridge over to the East Wintergarden. On a summer's day it is very nice indeed to sit at one of Hazev's outdoor tables with the breeze blowing back towards the Millennium Dome. And they have made an effort to soften Canary Wharf's glassiness with potted trees and plenty of baskets of plants. Inside the decor is modern but comfortable, with colourful turquoise armchairs in the adjoining cafe. The cuisine here is also worth coming back for, fine Anatolian fare, and you can choose from some mouthwatering main dishes - grills, oven-cooked dishes, fish and vegetarian - for between £8 to £13. The patlican ezmeli (lamb and aubergine), the kuzu tandir (shredded lamb) and the soganli dana kavurma (sirloin) are all worth a try. Or for something lighter there are some very good share platters, the best value being the Renk Platter. This costs £11.95 per person, shared between two, and consists of a considerable selection of hot and cold small dishes - including falafel, halloumi, calamari, pastries and stewed vegetables - that will leave most people feeling full. While the waiters are quite relaxed and have a tendency to leave you waiting a little too long when you first arrive and when you're done, if the weather's fine it doesn't seem such a burden.

Good Turkish food restaurant, not your typical kebab place at all. Food is fresh and tasted good. Service was nice and friendly. Variety of meats on the mixed kebab was slightly under whelming but what was on the plate tasted nice. The starter selection was very good. Different breads would have made it perfect. Organic watermelon just tasted amazing, their own brand - they should get that into the supermarkets. Venue is nice, near the water but not really an outside space. A missed opportunity. Only reason it's not 5 stars is it's very pricey.

Hazev was amazing!! I came here recently for my good friend's surprise birthday meal and it was just amazing. For starters, I had halloumi with some hummus and some green stuff (not really sure what it was called but it tasted really good). To drink, I had peach juice which I hadn't tasted before. I'm usually on the iced tea vibe but the juice definitely hit the spot. For the mains I have the Hazev mixed grill which had chicken cubes, lamb, couscous but I swapped it for sweet potato fries and some salad and I must say I made sure my plate was clean. Everything tasted so fresh and I enjoyed every bite. The waiters were very professional and gave us a good customer service. I would most certainly love to come back here at some point. We happened apon this ggem on our first night in London. We are from Albuquerque, NM USA and not familiar with Turkish food. The staff here was very welcoming and answered all of our questions about the menu. The food was the most delicious food we had all week! We went back to their Cafe for breakfast and it was also sooooo good. Thank you! Try this place, you will not be disappointed!!!

Great restaurant in a lovely environment with mouthwatering Mediterranean options. The mezze is very fresh, and the meat dishes are nice too. You can ask the waiter what they would recommend for the day as their customer services are excellent 👌 and the quality of food is very good.

Hazev’s a staple if you’re in the Canary Wharf area. Their food and desserts are always tasty and affordable. Whenever I have the time I try to sit there and have a turkish kahve (coffee). This was my first time trying their backlava and it was soft but flaky the true test of a great backlava.

Great location and views. The service was amazing too, and the kunafa. However, the mix grill was a bit dry. Hazef Iskender was dish of the day!

It's a nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. We ordered lamb skewer, which is good. But the fried squid is tasteless. No favor at all.

We were there around lunch time, it was a bit quiet at the time. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. The food was well seasoned and tasted very nice, the portion sizes are about on point. (Not a place to go if you want to be completely suffered for cheap.) The pricing is about on par with what you would pay in the area. I will return if I am in the area that is for sure.

Came here for a friend’s Birthday on a Saturday evening. We had a big table of 10 and was given the £35 set menu. This included a range of mixed starters to share and a choice of one main dish. Was a filling menu and an unlimited flow of bread. Was fairly full by the time mains came and couldn’t finish my dish. Including drinks and service charge it came to over £50 each. Staff was patient with us. Service was good, but the cocktails took a lot longer than other ready to pour drinks to get to the table. Food wasn’t as slow. Food was tasty and lots of flavour. The lamb I had for my main was very soft and flavoursome and loved the aubergine that went with it.

I was a bit disappointed as I came her 2 years ago and we really enjoyed both food and service. I felt something had changed compared to the last time. The service was slow and food was ok but not great. The staff was nice I have to say, they apologised and offered some complimentary Prosecco, which we don’t take. For this I feel they deserve 4 stars, they definitely made an effort.

I absolutely love this place. I’ve been coming here for a few years now and it’s one of my favourite Turkish restaurants. The service is always good and they always seem to have tables available, even at peak times. The place is clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. The food is absolutely delicious. I would particularly recommend the hummus and the meze. The baklava is also an absolute treat. The prices are pretty reasonable too. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes Turkish food.

Food was ok, we tried lentil soup, patates koftesi, domates kofte, tavuk iskender, tavuk guvech, sutlac & ice cream. We lovrd tavuk iskender, it was really tasty. Cinnamon ice cream was good. We felt domates kofte were little dry but patstes koftesi was good. Portion sizes were small. Ambiance was good, they have three sections- cafe, restaurant and bar. Staff is nice and helpful.

Staff were extremely polite and helpful. They made us feel very welcomed from the moment we entered the restaurant. Their warmth made you feel like you would definitely want to go back. Cocktails and food were just right and a generous amount too! Will definitely be going back!
