This is the hidden gem of Fitzrovia. A proper Trattoria with Italian staff who are incredibly welcoming. The food is good value, really tasty and plentiful.
It's also very popular with Fitzrovia locals and very much a place to go to feel like your with friends or the nicer part of your family.

Very delicious pasta and very warm, friendly and helpful service. Beautiful ambiance. You can definitely see that it is an Italian family restaurant.
Excellent Italian food !
The Gamberoni Giovanni is absolutely delicious! Probably the best prawn dish in London ❤️
(King prawns in butter, garlic , chilled lemon and white wine )
Their dessert, esp tiramisu was perfect 👌
A lot of overly dramatic comments, one about throwing up after the food, which is really mature, go to a doctor maybe, you sound unwell.
As for the restaurant, this is not a chain restaurant, this is much like local Italian places, which tend to be family run, the authenticity of the restaurant is
Wow what a meal. Great little family run Italian restaurant. The owner greets every guest at the door and the rest of the staff are very friendly and attentive. My wife is a huge lasagne fan and she thought that it was best she'd ever eaten. I had a spaghetti dish with pieces of fillet steak which u
The modest exterior hides a truly welcoming and hospitable restaurant. From the moment we walked in it felt very homely, the staff were so attentive and welcoming I could possibly give them anything g less than 5 stars. The food was great, and based on the waiters recommendations which turned out to
I took a friend there for a birthday meal. The staff are very welcoming and warm. The food was delicious. We weren't hassled all the time. Lovely atmosphere. The lovely young lady that took our order was so helpful, explained what the dishes were and let us make our choices before without pressure
Loved the place.
The ambiance is so warm and so as their staff.
The place is quiet and welcoming.
Loved the pizza and the gnocchi there.
Has a clean washroom too.
Low lighting makes it soothing.
The Trattoria Mondello is this kind of places that deserves five stars. The reasons are the warm service of its dedicated staff. Its own owners are always checking that always everything be okay. The taste of the typical Italian dishes is wonderful, la lasagna, the pizzas, the soups, the fishes, the
The lovely owner and staff looked after my wife and I on numerous occasions last year when visiting my mother who was in UCL for months. We tried other restaurants in the area and kept coming back as the food was simply lovely. They provide fantastic traditional food which I have to say I still miss
Great traditional-style Italian restaurant. The pizza was astonishingly good - no fancy toppings, just a perfect crisp base with fluffy, non-stodgy crusts. House wine by glass, carafe, or bottle. Great value given the location.
Have been coming here for years and it is one of the last Italian family run restaurants you can find in this part of London. Relaxed friendly service and you can have a better meal with wine for less than any of the chain of pizza places. Worth supporting as once places like this go they can't be r
Couldn't recommend this little gem more. With prices that seem ridiculously reasonable on both the wine and food fronts. The food is utterly perfect for the style of restaurant and feeling.
Interior is dated but that's part of the charm in this restaurant which has at least 2 if not 3 generations of
A wonderful family-run Italian restaurant, fabulous food and full of character. The owners are always in evidence, lending elegance and charm. The slightly eccentric waiter always provides a fresh performance! Very highly recommended; rather than just being another link in the "Italian" chains curr
A wonderfully characterful restaurant with excellent food. Bags of charm, relaxed atmosphere, good service and very welcoming. We ordered off the specials board and had a carafe of house red which we both enjoyed. Feels authentically Italian.
Nice find. Lovely Italian. Now that the excellent Pescatori's has closed (shock horror) this is the next best alternative for Italian. Nice traditional decor and owned run by Italians. They serve a good dover sole for about £18,which is a bargain. About £90 for 3 people with starters, so prices are
