An amazing place with yummy food!! Where else can you peanut butter scones with clotted cream and toffee sauce, or white chocolate ones with jam and cream!! Delish fresh lemonade and a Guinness chocolate cake to die for!! Husband loved Bacon butter and I enjoyed my smashed avo and eggs on sourdough!! And all eaten in a place that feels like it's Nan's house. Will definitely be back!

I'm not one for cliches, but it's hard to avoid 'hidden gem' and 'feast for the eyes' when describing Edith's House. LOVE the fact you can sit on a loo to eat lunch! What a wonderful little cafe. Oh, and the staff are really lovely and (loose leaf) tea is served in a proper pot with boiling water!!

What's to tell? The superb food is freshly homemade to order, the decor 70's retro - just like Nanas' house. The hot chocolate is pure melted chocolate which is the point you might lose me ... scones. Did I mention warm scones & clotted cream? And fond of fondue - then do, fondly. An evening indulgence reminiscent of Abigail's Party. Yep.

Just delightful. Quirky decor, delicious tea and food all served in and on beautiful bone china. Friendly and helpful staff, child- and dog-friendly. What's not to like about this place?

A great quirky cafe with delicious food, lovely friendly staff and a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. I could spend all afternoon there just chilling, feeling completely relaxed. In-house dog "Roux" adds to the homely atmosphere. Lots of retro touches throughout. I sat in the "bathroom" on the throne! Come and check it out - well worth the visit - cream teas are delish - they also serve soup, stew, salads, jacket potatoes, eggs etc.

We went to Edith's House last night for an evening meal, we usually go during the day but we had decided to start the new year trying something new. We had never had fondue and so that's what we ordered. The whole evening was really relaxing and enjoyable, it was like being at home with someone else doing the cooking. We came home feeling content and relaxed. The meal was great and the welcome and staff their usual friendly selves. Look forward to going again soon.
