Visiting my son who works behind the bar, what a lovely place! We sat right at the window overlooking the Thames, beautiful view, we had the fish and chips and it was amazing, great pub
We had our wedding day on 29/03 and I would like to thanks Trafalgar Tavern stuff for the great service ! Food and drinks were amazing and all our guests enjoyed a lot. If you looking for a special place for your special day, Trafalgat Tavern is that place ! MR & MRS PETROV
Great location, great staff, best fish and chips I've had in years!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves 😀

Greenwich is one of those London ‘villages’ that has as much attraction for the locals as it does for tourists. It’s one of my favourite places to take visitors to London; catch a boat from Westminster Pier eastwards and enjoy the scenery along the banks of the Thames (and the crew’s slightly dodgy history telling), disembark and admire the Cutty Sark, wander through the brilliant market picking up lovely things for a picnic, walk up to the Observatory and stand with one foot in the east and one in the west, walk down through the Naval College and then use Brunel’s tunnel to walk under the Thames itself. It never fails but to impress.
Peter Morrell takes a cruise down the Thames to enjoy an evening in this historic riverside location. Iconic Sites of London. The Royal Naval College. The Trafalgar Tavern. Kiln Smoked Salmon with Heritage Beetroot. PausePlayPlayPrev|Next. The Trafalgar Tavern is quite close to my home in South London but my wife and I decided to take the more scenic route to get there. We jumped on the commuter boat service run by MNBA Thames Clippers from Embankment Pier to Greenwich. On a warm early summer’s evening we passed many iconic London landmarks, the Globe Theatre, The Shard and Tower Bridge before arriving at the pier by the Cutty Sark.
Lovely views of the thames. And the food? Not bad, pub faire burgers and chips with a couple of roast options.
They have dining room which has a little more variety, why they don't just serve it in the pub I do not know.
Had Roast pork, nice, actually a joint rather than the nasty presliced crap. As a previous reviewer said, very cold, sat near the electric heater.
I'm sure there are better options in Greenwich, but I've yet to explore them.
Great views & nice inside to this pub. Serves Magners cider unlike some of pubs near by that just serve bulmers of unheard of makes. Resonaable prices but not as competitve as the yacht next door. This pub is great in the summer with good music playing. It is really cold in the winter and empty as a result. Good amount of seating area outside!
The pub is ideally located on the Thames in Greenwich, but makes for a lot of Tourists. The beer is good, I've eaten in the restaurant and at a private event upstairs and the food was reasonable. Guinness and whitebait / steak is the best I've had to date. The Plume of Feathers 2 mins away has much better food.
Location: Its extremely convenient-situated in the heart of Greenwich close to the river, which also opens great landscape for the visitor.
Food: Although I am not a big fan of British cuisine, I must confess this is one of the best places for potato wedges, mezze and dark home made beer.
The tavern is quite appropriate for all occasions but I spent an ordinary Tuesday night with my friends within a peaceful, authentic British atmosphere close to the river.
I got disappointed only by the fact the tavern was being renovated at the time I visited and it did not look like the pictures.
The views across the Thames are lovely. If you manage to be there at sunset you won't be disappointed. Decent drinks. Food isn't brilliant. You go here for the setting. I'd recommend driving then food in Greenwich itself
its all about the building and in the summer sitting by the river. wood pannelled dining rooms are great. food is good but not mind blowing. has just changed hands (jan 2013) so might improve
Very stylish and atmospheric marine style pub. We went there for Sunday roast. Sunday roast was pretty good. Beer selection is also big.
Interior is super stylist, a lot of different details. Even if you sit outside, go ans check inside. Terrace looks cool too with all of the flags.
Everything was nice, but I would say slightly overpriced for quality, that's why 4, not 5.
We went for Sunday Roast in the Restaurant.
The food was really tasty and quick. We had starters and the roast beef - the aubergine starter was surprisingly tasty.
The roast was tasty and balanced.
Service was quick and polite despite the restaurant being absolutely packed.
The atmosphere is also great and everything really makes for a nice meal.
Outstanding!!! Best chips I’ve ever had. Fish was great. Bangers were traditional end delicious. Staff was great and who doesn’t love eating lunch overlooking the River Thames.
Great place to get a pint of local ale and catch the sunset over the Thames. We got top shelf service from Josh! The tables outside are the best for the sunset, but the inside is very nice. Has access to Thames shore.
Ate in the Nile rerstaurant. Really great atmosphere, walls covered in prints of river scenes, lots of nautical memorabilia.
Food was very good, had the roast lamb, companion had the Veggie Wellington, which was beautifully presented and enjoyed, other companions had sausage and mash which again was excellent.
Sunday lunch is very popular and we were limited to 90 mins. Unfortunately we arrived a little late and lost a bit of our slot.
Thorougly recommended, try to go when less busy, if possible.

A nice place with good food and beer 😎. We didn't have a reservation so we had to find a free table (around noon time). The place was quite busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes to order but after that the food came fast and it was tasty. A nice place with nice stuff. The tip is added automatically to the bill - it is 12.5% from what you order.
We had drinks only so I can't comment on the food but the atmosphere is perfect. It is very well decorated making it almost an attraction for the area. It also has very nice view on the river and u can sit and have a drink or food but even inside it was very nice and well decorated .
The most incredible view of the Thames, hearty dinners and a very solid beer and wine selection. Just set far enough from the bustle of Greenwich riverside, and the building itself is just stunning
A great spot. Went on Sunday. Was absolutely packed but we got seats outside for a few drinks. Went back on the Monday and got better table and food. No complaints from anyone in our group. As the day ended and the lights came on around us, it was really a beautiful setting. So many tables with a view along the Thames. Some super indoor window seats. Great view of the millennium dome and the tavern itself is just full of history. Very friendly staff. So many dog lovers sitting around the venue. Very touristy area with so many spots to visit around area.
Very pleasant environment, such a great building and an interesting decoration! Food is very decent, great portions especially the fish & chips. Tortellini were also well cooked and not overcooked as in some places. Staff super welcoming, much recommended!
Edit: went back several times so adding more photos, food as delicious as always!
