Really friendly barman (possibly Australian). We used to go in here in the 80s and 90s. We also held a wake here in 2004. This was our first time back since then. It's moved on of course, in a nice way. But it's kept it's Victorian grandeur and in some ways the spaces have been opened up even more. Nice pint of cider and happy-looking people were gathering for lunch.

We had a late lunch yesterday, we order three small dishes to share between the two of us. Simply gorgeous! All accompanied by a really nice and bubbly bottle of prosecco. I loved it. Great atmosphere, very gorgeous food and superb service!! i am glad to live at walking distance!!!!!

Thanks to the local community and local MP’s The Wheatsheaf is still a pub.  A few years back it faced closure and the doom of many a London pub – becoming a Tesco.  Fortunately this didn’t happen and instead the site was granted ‘Asset of Community Value’ status meaning it has to continue as a pub. Urban Pubs and Bars took over and gave it a new lease of life with the refurb you will see if you visit it today.

I have not eaten at the Wheatsheaf properly, just some bar snacks but had drinks there a fair bit. Since the revamp the interior is amazing! Such a nice feel and there is nothing better than a place with lovely toilets!! Staff are friendly.

A beautiful pub, with great beer and lovely atmos. But after 150 years Tesco are calling last orders and want to kill off the Wheatsheaf and build a minimart. You can help stop them by signing the petiiton on 38 degrees. Tell you friends or it's all over for the Tooting Wheatsheaf.

Came here for a Sunday roast on a recommendation from a mate and wasn’t disappointed. Roasts were huge and tasty, service was awesome, fast and attentive, and the prices weren’t shocking. Had the pork, my gf had the nut roast, and we shared the cauliflower cheese. Utterly stuffed afterwards and unable to reach for the dessert menu. Would highly recommend!

Meals were hearty and came out nice and warm. The service here is stellar with bat staff being super friendly and detail oriented. Spacious and beer garden makes it a cut above the rest.

Hands down the best roast in south west London. Always so delicious, and service in the restaurant is amazing (Matt in particular). Service at the bar is a bit slower, it takes a while for someone to come and seat you despite there being a lot of staff running around. Apart from that - amazing!

Went for breakfast to get rid of the hangover. Very friendly and professional service and great food. English breakfast at £13.50. Nice vibe, comfy atmosphere. Morning sunshine coming through the window and watching the busy high street. Good music. Big screens so there must be sport here too. Good place.

We came here for a Sunday meet up with friends. The atmosphere was cheery and quite busy at the time we went. We got food and drinks. The food was super tasty and service was great. Thanks for having us on a lovely sunny afternoon.

Excellent food. The joy really is the place itself. Lovely decor. Clean, chic bathrooms, massive space that is well decorated and furnished with plenty of seating. Good music in the background. This is a treasure for Tooting Bec. 10/10

Good big boozer. Good food. The pizza is authentic. Didn't have one today but a few weeks ago the Artichoke pizza was a killer. You had to wait for it in a less than busy time, but it showed the commitment to v high quality food. Highly recommended.

What a lovely way to spend a bank holiday afternoon. Had a couple beers with a few friends. Was recommended Stone & Wood by one of the delightful bartenders, Sara. I think it may be a new favourite! The outside seating did not disappoint in the slightest. If you’re in the area definitely pop in. You won’t regret it!

I have lived in Tooting for 4 years. Still think it’s the best pub in the area ❤️ always come with my friends who come from abroad. The only little problem is that service sometimes can be a bit slow. But food, drinks and atmosphere is very nice!

Accidentally came across this little gem with a few of my friends today. It’s in an amazing location right by Tooting Bec station. Was welcomed with smiley faces and a really nice ambience. Excited to be back. Special thanks to Sara especially who was very patient with me, letting me try a few different beers and just making me and my friends feel very comfortable. All in all just a lovely place to visit. Would definitely recommend!

What an Outstanding team. Enrico and Kirsty really do make this place a special one. Yes might be just a pub, but service couldn't get anymore personalised. Great food, great beer, but service is by far the cherry in this cake. Do not get fooled yourself, this is by far the best around! Much Love to everyone who looked after us!

Unreal food, great wine and quality atmosphere in the restaurant. Louis our waiter was great and his recommendations were outstanding. We were looked after and wasn’t ever in a situation where I didn’t have a drink ready to go.

The food here is excellent. They must have a brilliant chef. This is far more than pub grub. We tried 8 dishes and every one of them was delicious.
