Great place, very efficient and polite staff, food is very well balanced in price, quality and size
A proper pub with great food and excellent staff. Garden for the Summer and Fire in the Winter
Nice atmosphere, excellent both the service and the food. A place where to come again
We spent our last evening in London at the Swan Pub. What a great memory! Great food, great beer and especially - great entertainment! It was a Sunday evening and the musician made our night! He played the keyboard, guitar and sang his heart out! The crowd loved him! The group of people surrounding him were hilarious! Everyone seemed to know the lyrics and had no problem singing them out. We wished we had time for another visit. Highly recommended!!
Chiswick - trains not running but did not deter us from having a great night. Lived up to its reputation of good food & good service. A little like Crufts on the night we visited with our friends dog but all well behaved and added to the enjoyment of the night :)
Lovely! Tables out front, lovely garden out back, great food and pleasant staff. Warning, no cocktails.
The service was very good and food was wonderful
Have a pint before coming home. Have one for me also.
Food fantastic as always , Catherine and Simon run a superb premesis
Our fabulous local when we were living in London - lived the food, the ambience, the garden bar and the people!!
Love our local x Congratulations on all the awards ... well deserved !
Super fantastic pub in the city
Holly and David Jones of Manna from Devon Cooking School in Kingswear, Devon came north to London earlier this summer for some wood-fired oven demos at The Swan pub in Chiswick. I was wiser (and fuller) for having dropped by for a session. During the early lunch workshop in the beautiful suntrap of The Swan’s beer garden, the duo fired up their Morsø Forno ovens (I want!) to show how versatile these sleek cast iron (not an oxymoron!) Danish wood-fired ovens are and how – with a little knowhow and bit of experience – a variety of dishes can be cooked in a wood-fired oven. With the Jones at the helm and a small band of media folk eager to cook, I learned to bake focaccia and pizza, roast a whole fish and lamb kebabs and even made dessert (raspberry and hazelnut empanadas) – all in a wood-fired oven.
Great food, great beers and a great atmosphere. Very dog friendly and a lovely garden. A very popular local pub.
Quite romantic for a pub! This place is a good adress in the west end of London. Indeed the pub benefit of a large garden on the back with romantic light hanging on trees. I love going there for a pims during summer. The price are quite similar to other pubs with around £14 for a meal. The rib eye steak is to die for, it is very well cooked and the potatoes that comes with it are very nice! I think that this pub is a little treasure because of its menu that is very complete and original.
A great pub just between Chiswick and south Acton. Great Sunday roast options. Chicken was the highlight, full of flavour and herbs. The beef and pork was also pretty good. The pasta was tasty and delicious and desserts were a great way to finish the meal. Only downside was the Yorkshire pudding, which just wasn’t quite right. But still top scores for a great Sunday roast with friendly staff.
This place is in our neighbourhood and we feel lucky that we have got this lovely pub.
Everything is so delicious and staff are so friendly and helpful.
I have been twice to this pub and both times the service was excellent. Food is so delicious and fresh. Pasta, fish or tagine all meals were so good. Outdoor seating area is so peaceful and nice.
🚇 South Acton
🍺 £7.20 Asahi
❤️ A classy backstreet pub in W4.
.
The Swan is located in a quite residential backstreet sandwiched between South Acton and Chiswick. South Acton overground is the nearest station, Chiswick Park Tube is also close by.
.
This pub was built in 1871, It is rumoured that the pub survived demolition in the 1970s as part of the building of the Beaconsfield Road Estate close by, apparently the then Leader of the Council was a regular here, I love stories like that.
.
The interior of this pub is traditional, elegant and has an air of 1930’s pub styling about it. There are two bars, the front bar is predominantly set up for drinkers, at the rear is stylish wood panelled dining area. At the back and side of the pub is a large walled courtyard beer garden with plenty of benches to soak up the sun in the warmer months.
.
There is a good selection of beers including three cask ales for the cultured imbibers. My Brother and I decided on pints of Asahi, we both enjoyed our pints, price point was a bit pricey at over seven quid. There is a very popular ever changing Mediterranean style food menu available plus roasts on a Sunday, a chicken roast dinner with all the trimmings cost £22.
.
We arrived just after opening on a Saturday lunchtime and we were the first punters through the door, we received a warm welcome from the staff on duty who were preparing for the days trade. There is a friendly calm about this pub, it had a local neighbourly feel to it which made you feel right at home.
.
@theswanchiswick is a class act and has an inviting charm about it. The decor is attractive and the vibe makes your stay enjoyable. The beer choice is good if a little premium priced and the food receives good reviews. This is a sister pub to The Atlas in Fulham, this place definitely goes toe to toe with that fine establishment. We really enjoyed our visit here and came away smiling. Get it on you must visit list for this summer.

Thanks to Colin & Brenda for recommending we come here. Tucked away, this was a great start to 2022. Full-on Italian menu.
UPDATE
2023 still loving it - now our local - excellent seafood dishes.
1st visit and was massively impressed. Had the roast beef Sunday roast and got to say the beef was just delicious, it was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth.
Had the sticky toffee pudding and again, wow...mouthwatering. it was gorgeous.
Lovely friendly and very efficient service.
Highly recommend
Incredible food, personal service and a great selection of gins and wines! The head chef creates a varied menu each week and the food isn't your standard "pub food" but a wonderful gastro experience. Be sure to book ahead so as not to be disappointed! Only reason I gagd 4 stars (would do 4.5 if I could) was that the desserts could be slightly improved, but I'm just being picky as everything else is simply sublime.
Delicious food, great atmosphere and perfect service. Many thanks to Nat and Dom. We felt like we were at home. It was a busy lunchtime but everything felt so easy and relaxed, and at the same time absolutely in time.
