I am also a restaurant manager & I know that it's rare that people give positive feedback, they only like to take the time to write when they have a complaint.
That's why I really wanted to leave a message in regards to this place. My friend & I went there for the first time on Saturday night. We were very impressed from the moment we walked in. The main waitress who looked after us was a lovely young lady. The food was also exceptional. I have been eating Mexican most of my life & this food was spot on. Margaritas were great too. Will definitely go again! Unfortunately we were sitting next to a couple who were quite rude, but there is nothing that can be done about that. It was no reflection on the staff.
Absolutely amazing food, wonderful attentive staff and all at reasonable prices. Cannot recommend enough. Went tonight taking MIL for a rare night off and everything was absolutely perfect.

I came with a friend for lunch one afternoon, when we came into the restaurant it was pretty empty so we had a choice of were we wanted to sit. We sat down looked at the menue and it dose have a good cocktail list. We ordered but it took us a while to get the drinks but wasn't disappointed. for starters I ordered the vegetables quesadillas and they were lovely then for mains I ordered the mixed combo fajitas with chicken, beef and prawns and it was cooked well and it taested nice. Service was good all round, nice restaurant I would go back again.

We went here for dinner a couple of weeks ago. It was very empty when we first arrived but gradually filled up. I must say though, I walked past it a week later at exactly the same time and it was very full so I would recommend reserving a table, which you can do online. I had two small dishes as my main and they were both great especially the tacos. My husband had the chilli burger but thought it was pretty average and not spicy at all. I also drank a Mojito, which was pretty good. Service was friendly and we had a good time.

Our dinner at Cafe Mexicali was lovely. The restaurant itself as a relaxed and even romantic atmosphere and you can actually feel like you are in Mexico. The staff was amazing: always ready to serve us. We had nachos, enchiladas, salmon, some dips, a chocolate cake and a passion fruit cheesecake. Every dish was so well cooked that we couldn't stop eating! This is a place to come back often for sure!
Probably one of the best tasting Mexican restaurants I have been to in London - I went with a group of friends on a Friday night. I shared a veggie enchiladas and veggie chimichangas - both served with rice, pinto beans, sour cream and guacamole. Both were fantastic and are definitely recommended to any veggie (or probably even non-veggie) diners.
The extensive cocktails menu also included some mocktails which was great to see (although I wish there a few more!) and tasted good. Service was with great and with a smile. I'll definitely visit again soon - recommended.
i went on a rainy night for my birthday, the service was **outstanding and the food was excellent. this place is listed as a brunch place but their dinner menu is also fab, we had some mexican style and some other main dishes (fajitas and seabass) and everything was yum, all loaded with delicious vegetables.... really good margaritas and capirinhas.... plus the decor is so pretty. thank you
This is one of those places where the kindness and friendliness of staff is truly outstanding, and makes you feel genuinely welcome and taken care of. The food is also tasty and reasonably priced. Recommended for a relaxed, enjoyable, unpretentious experience.
Was actually very good! Burrito was a bit disappointing but the portions were amazing and really big. Also would go again just for the churros honestly!!
