Great bar staff and they have got it right by making sure there are always plenty of staff serving you so you never have to wait more than a couple of minutes no matter how busy it is. Great selection of craft beers and the rear garden is fantastic especially in the hot weather. Can't recommend this place enough!
One of the best bars in London Good selection of beer and a great outdoor area. Great food too.
This is a hidden gem in the back streets of London Bridge. The customers are a nice hip crowd and their staff are cool, cheerful and really helpful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Even though I've moved out of area I still come round for a drink with friends. I love their selection of tap beers plus they always have eye candy staff.
That was super nice place with super tasty food. We'll sure come back again. Thanks! :)
Brilliant pub, great bar staff, especially the dorky tall Australian guy with glasses (I think his name is Nathan) 100% would come again
My go-to local pub for after work drinks and awesome Sunday Roasts! This pub has an amazing selection of craft beers on tap and bottled stuff like Sours and Saison's which you don't see that often .
The foods really good, usually come here for a Sunday roast - They do an Ultimate roast which is a little bit of everything.
My girlfriend loves their barrel aged Old Fashioned and Negronis!
It's got a great beer garden with an outside bar which is a major sun trap. Perfect for pints in the afternoon!
Staff are all pretty good as well. All welcoming and knowledgeable.
Would highly recommend!
Great ambience, food is as intoxicating as the aura, staff service is nice. Lovely place to hangout. Enjoyed eating there.i ordered beer which was amazing.
Friendly staff, great outdoor space at the back with covered areas too and fantastic dog friendly facilities such as treat dispenser and water bowls and fountains. Good food and reasonable prices
Great pub. Great beer garden. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Amazing beer... pints of neck oil are always perfect... not had the food but it looked very appetising.
Warm, cosy pub which was really full when we got there. Reasonable prices for London. We both had the fish and chips which was enormous and really good. Also the Ginger Beer which is not to sweet.
The Woolpack on Bermondsey Street is around a ten-fifteen minute walk from London Bridge tube and railway stations as well as Borough High Street. The area has been gentrified in recent years but the inside of The Woolpack isn’t all painful hipster action. The tiled walls and booths hark back to the days of drinking dens whilst the open, whitewashed garden is minimal and spacious.
Impressive ! Just met a friend here who was working local ! I sat the beer garden nice pint of estrella and ordered a burger
I wasn't expecting much but I gave to say a quality burger , friendly staff nice pint !
Totally found by chance . Would I go back ? Nice summers day for bit of lunch bait 100%
Pub:
All round good pub with beer garden. The pub get busy in the evening especially Thursday and Friday! Offer a variety of beers on tap though.
Food:
I had my work birthday meal here. The food was nice but generic pub food there are definitely better options around but the Woolpack does the job and is one of the only local places!
The Woolpack have got a good reputation for their burgers and I very much like the pub, so eating here was a bit of a no-brainer. We ordered a Hog burger (beef patty topped with pulled pork). It was a smart choice. The burger was served in a box along with some of the juices the pork had been resting in. This was great as not only added to the flavour but also created a French-dip like effect.
Yet again we braved the cold weather to sample some very tasty dishes offered by various vendors around Rope Walk @ Maltby Str. Market. Lately the market has gained a fair bit of critical acclaim as one of the better food markets to spring up in recent years and we couldn’t agree more. It is one of our favourite spots to prowl for food goodies these days.
This time we decided to try food by the following vendors:
The Woolpack: The Woolpack is a local pub that operates around the corner from Maltby St. on the very popular Bermondsey Str. The Woolpack stand at Maltby street market offers a selection of mainly burgers. Last time we tried the Ox-tail burger and this time we went for the juicy Hog’s burger (8.5/10); both are highly recommended.
It really fits Bermondsey Street style. I just went there for a beer, it was September and not so warm to try the beer garden outside, which actually really looked cool. So unfortunate!
I had a great time, anyway. The staff was really efficient and kind. Would like to try the restaurant too, but I thought it was a bit too pricey for a student.
Really more a pub than a restaurant, the real selling point here is the room upstairs for private parties that doesn't charge you a fortune to hire, you can eat here and they'll even lay on a bartender for you upstairs so your party don't have to truck up and down the stairs looking for drinks and food!
In summers, there's a beer garden outside to while your time away.
Such warming staff here who remember you even if you have only been the couple of times. And how rare is it to fins a beer garden in London? I had to google this place before i came. What more could you want then a few ales in the garden and a hot pie? Well priced also. Did the job for me..
Walking down Bermondsey Street on any weekend evening, it doesn't surprise you that all the bars and restaurants are packed to the brim with patrons spilling out the doors. That being said, the eateries and bars generally offer enough space during weekdays to sit and have a nice meal or a relaxed drink. The Woolpack stands out as the one and only place that is jammed with folks yearning for a table on the quietest of days. So after having observed this phenomenon for a few weeks, I decided to join the race for a table here.
The restaurant (looks more like a tavern) is nothing fancy, rather plain at that. They do have a pretty outdoor garden are that you can sit at when the weather Gods are being kind. The daily specials are displayed on a chalkboard above the bar that catch your fancy, and almost immediately you are distracted by the big cauldron that certainly has to contain either soup or mulled wine. Thankfully it's mulled wine.
I ordered that day's special salmon in lemon butter sauce on a bed of mash with grilled carrots that are the BEST I've had in a while. Everything was so perfectly cooked and made for a hearty, healthy meal. Complemented with the mulled wine that was just the right amount of spice, this meal completely justified the long queues I have witnessed at The Woolpack.
My friend had ordered the open beef burger that also looked delicious. But I was more than content with the salmon.
A great go-to neighbourhood place on any day of the week.
Great location, cool staff - spacious backyard to enjoy a dry evening. The pints and wine is definitely pricey. Excellent tho if you are going as a large group.
Great spot for a beer
Outdoor area out the back of the pub is the best for big groups. Indoors is pretty snug.
Beers not cheapest in the area but good selection.

Decent pub on Bermondsey Street not far from London Bridge Station. Two cask beers on handpump when I last visited. Very expensive beer - £6.30 for a pint of Bermondsey Best. Lots of outdoor seating most of it covered.
This is a fun place to hangout. Variety of patrons from young to old. Many dogs where around and all quietly taking in the activity. Burger was amazing and Chicken had a great flavor. Order, pay at the bar, just know your table #.
Good fries and good beer selection.
Very good atmosphere on a Friday evening!
Took time to get a table though.
Came to watch the RWC and had a great time. We were upstairs and Sia was incredible running drinks up and down the stairs so quickly for us!
But of a hidden gem to be fair. All the other bars were ticketed and fully booked for England v Samoa. This place had good beers and space for us to sit out in the garden watching the game. Busy, good vibe and table service via the app, staff were friendly too. All good 👍
Great food, atmosphere, service, and drinks. Staff was awesome and made for a relaxing and enjoyable time. Remember to note your table number before you order from the bar.
Easy to book a table for 20 outdoors with covered seating. Very quick service given how busy the pub was. Staff were friendly and toilets were clean.
The chicken tenders were crunchy and well cooked with a nice sauce, and the chips were also good. My friend had a burger which looked a little sad.
Would definitely recommend this pub for a large group and would come here again.
Classic pub. Good beer selection. Comfy seating. We haven't tried the food but what came out of the kitchen looked good.
What an amazing little pub! Right by London Bridge station, very easy to get to! And what a gorgeous beer garden, can’t wait to spend my summer here! The staff were incredibly patient, and professional. They helped us navigate through the booking system seamlessly, and then were as friendly and welcoming as ever when we arrived! Definitely one of my favourite spots in London. Staff are a credit to the business!
Brought our pup and stopped by this dog friendly establishment. Thanks for a delicious fish and chips meal. Great bartenders and pub. Pip loved the Jude’s doggy ice cream!
Enjoyed Sunday lunch here a few weeks ago when my mum visited. We ate in the dining room upstairs which is rather grand and unexpected. Mum tucked into a sirloin roast, my partner had the fish pie and I had the vegetarian option. The food was a good standard, the surroundings also good. This is a dog friendly pub, just so you know before you go. We're not big drinkers so I have no idea about prices of drinks. There is a big garden out the back. It seemed to get busy so best to book.
Great pub fare and vibe! I’m listening to Video Killed the Radio Star and drinking a pint! … and the gravy is on point! Life is good!
I have had SO many great meals and times in this pub. The people who work here are super friendly, the food is great and they are very attentive so the drinks are always flowing. I can bring my dog and even have private chats in the booths outside. Couldn't recommend more!
After a long haul from Budapest, we randomly stumbled across the place looking for sowething to eat & drink. It was an experience just as pleasant as unexpected, plunged right into authentic London night pub life :)))
Great boozer with incredible ceiling upstairs. Quality pub grub, service is good. Always busy, especially the beer garden if sunny.
Love this pub! They have a great drinks selections, friendly service and a really nice beer garden. The food was great, as were the staff, particularly Dan. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!
The staff are always friendly and attentive. The food is good as is the drink selection.
Tip - You can request songs on the Young's app!
