These lovely people managed to fit us 3 people in last minute on a busy Thursday night, we came on a whim so had no idea what to expect but were so pleasantly surprised!
To start we had Escargot with a delicious sauce - no messing around with shells, so easy to eat and on some lovely bread.

Now this is what I call a top quality French food place. Nicely styled traditional French eatery with open kitchen. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and excellent at their job, really know their stuff. The food was spot on, everything was simply divine, and as with any good French eatery the
Incredible food and service! Went with a friend we both had the Chicken with potatoes, perfectly cooked and the sauce was so delicious. We shared a Crème brûlée and chocolate mouse between us as we couldn’t decide and it was the best decision. Both desserts were just right and not overpowering. The
Small and friendly place, one of the best canards I've tasted in a long time. Congratulations!
I called at short notice for a table for 1, and was accommodated outside with no trouble. The food and service were excellent; I was seated quickly, orders taken promptly, informed advice given, friendly conversation with staff which crossed nobody’s boundaries - all things which sound simple but ar
Wandered into the restaurant at 12 noon as we were looking for lunch. And wow this place is fantastic! We had bread and butter to start, which was promptly refilled when our mains arrived. Portion sizes are large so we were very satisfied. Everything tastes excellent and reminds us of Paris. Above a
We were wanting soup so bad and all the tables were reserved already, but they were kind enough to let us go sit at the basement tables even though they had closed that area. The French onion soup was amazing. Ended up having salad and mussels too. Service and food were superb!! And Price were great
Came here with 5 friends. Food was delicious from appetizers to entrees. Place is very small and we ate downstairs. Service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.
I don’t normally review my favourite places but I noticed a very misleading review posted by a guy (Charlie Howell) who had eaten 50 meals at l’artiste. He had a bad experience for which they did not charge but his biggest problem seems to be that his wife was referred to as ‘darling’. He left a bad
Food was amazing, and the service was great. You could see the kitchen when the chef was preparing the food and this was so authentic. I had the soup of the day and the sea bass which were both tasty and fresh. Their mousse au chocolat is a blessing.
Would definitely recommend it, feel like I travel
A great day at L’artiste. We had another great meal. Chef and service all top. Cranky yes, fun yes, flavours spot on. Should be part of your must do list.
Of primary importance is the food. It is exceptional. I spent months in Belgium some time ago, ate "moules et frites" whenever I could - and these are the best muscles I've had since. Lovely cream sauce. Other dishes also wonderful.
Next in importance is atmosphere and services. Also exceptional. Fr
Lovely little place, had a grumpy hungry child needed feeding lunch and the baby was about to start grumbling and stumbled across this gem. Food was lovely simple unpretentious french Bistro cooking. Mussels were well done, fries were crispy, chicken thighs were tasty. Service was friendly and they
Fantastic little find on a trip to London. Food is amazing and staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommended. First class.
Not smart at all but lovely food and great location. We’re often in the area and will definitely return.
Everything was delicious. Temperature perfect for the soup! Salad was crisp and fresh as well as flavorful. I can’t wait to return!
I have found this beautiful, authentic and cozy spot in the neighborhood while having a walk around area. Service is very nice with two kind and friendly girls serving us. I absolutely loved snails with garlic butter and bread, but beef casserole was way worse than i have expected which is a pity to
Had a lovely meal there a few days ago. Around £50 per head with drinks and 3 courses. Food was excellent and all 3 of us had a marvelous evening. In my view, one to recommend and return to
