The White Horse Pub, not to be confused with the strip pub nearby is another Geronimo Inns member. This is my third pub I have visited from this group. Situated bang in Exchange Square it is in the right location for the nearby high rise offices and the thirsty after work drinkers. Its a pub, nowt much more, but there are some appealing factors such as decent outside space, a good wine list, clean and smart interior as well as an ok bar snack menu.
You can book a dinner party or just pop in for drinks. Early in the week it is not too busy, but i suspect at the weekend it gets rowdy before folk get on their Liverpool St trains to Hertfordshire and Essex.
I like it. The suits don't bother me, they are harmless. Its a decent boozer, comfortable for everyone.
We'd organized an informal get-together for family and friends and out of town guests and the team at White Horse were excellent in every regard. From the prompt and professional responses to the questions we had, to the sectioning off of the space for us, and then their service throughout the evening on Friday 22nd - was brilliant. Whether it was drinks, food orders, answering questions, arranging chairs...they were always very helpful and attentive throughout. The evening went well, everyone had a great time, and a large part of that was due to the staff working with us.
We had the outside space booked on Saturday for my brother's birthday, unfortunately it rained all afternoon so the staff let us move all the wet balloons and ourselves inside without any issues. Really lovely staff, all on hand to help. And always smiling too. Great service, very attentive. Thank you to all at the White horse on Saturday for a wonderful celebration.
We went on Monday morning, so it has just enough people and was not crowded. The service was good and nice atmosphere. There are not many options for vegetarian. I only had chips. Hence, I am giving them 4 stars.
We hired tables for a works event for 25 employees and had a great lunch. The portion sizes were generous and the staff were very attentive. The food was very nice and it was a great start to our event. We would definitely recommend,
We were looking for a place to do summer drinks for the department and Olga at White Horse was amazing to help us put it together. All the requests were well answered for and on the day the service and attention we got was outstanding. Very happy with the experience and thanks to the team!!
I’ve visited the White Horse multiple times now and not only found the staff to be attentive and charming, but the food and the buzzy post-work atmosphere to be marvellous too; I definitely recommend visiting.
It’s also a great place to go in the week during the day and dog friendly too!
A bit pricey but it was a good burger, the burger sauce tasted like big mac sauce. Good chips and good service. Bonus points for having the sense not to put tomato in a burger!
Went for lunch with a friend yesterday. Food - great. Service - great. And finally a pub/restaurant with no loud music! Will definitely go back.
Me and my friends come here all the time for lunch, great garden, amazing food, very delicious and service is great. Always lovely atmosphere. I love it!
Came here to grab a drink with my friends and had a great time. The staff were extremely friendly. We were served by Shubhan who was very attentive and helpful. Would defo come back :)
Reserved a function space, communication was clear, everything was ready before we came and food was also good. Team at the bar was working well together and super friendly.

I have always liked the White Horse as it is spacious, has a good range of beers and wines and is so close to Liverpool Street Station. Last Thursday was busy and they have started playing music, so it is quite loud. However, if you don't mind the noise, they accept reservations. Also on my last visit, two urinals were blocked and there was a man there trying to use a plunger, but without taking the plastic mat out first; so the plunger had nothing to suck onto. I guess he was there for quite a while.
Excellent service at lunchtime & more than anything, my dog was treated beautifully. We will be back.
