Great chaat options! Authentic, fresh, filling. The menu is quite selective but each dish is well crafted and executed. The food seems slightly pricey for the portion sizes but the overall service, ambience, and outdoor seating makes it worth it!

The meal we had at Gunpowder was absolutely flavoursome and unique! Favourites were the lamb chops, duck, and the kale salad. Nice atmosphere! I would definitely dine here again!

Every dish was packed with flavour and just the right balance. Beautifully plated dishes that also had substance.
We ordered several small plates to share between a group of six. I would probably on hindsight order a few less dishes and two of each so that everyone could have a good helping rather than a bite or two from each.
Service was great, there could have been someone present at certain times when we needed. Also, they could have provided serving spoons for the dishes. We found ourselves using our own cutlery and struggling with getting the sauces using our forks.
Apart from that, I would definitely come back for dinner another time. Great location too.

London Bridge is awash with new openings. After dining at their original cosy Spitalfields location I was thrilled to discover a new highly anticipated and thankfully much larger second Gunpowder venue was set to open serving up their inventive selection of Indian tapas-style plates!. Stylishly decorated, think warehouse chic, the restaurant maintains it’s vibrant atmosphere. The dining room has a range of booths, tables and bar seats to make it the perfect option for pretty much any dining experience & the smaller upstairs level also comes with a view of the bustling kitchen. Despite the larger size, and almost overwhelming demand, service remains friendly and attentive.

One of the best evening.. and it was made more special with such delicious food by Gunpowder on the first day of our arrival in London. No many gets the Beetroot Croquettes bang on! It’s a Bengali cuisine delicacy from East India..n they have killed it!! Also, dare I not mentioned about the crab. Wow!! Sheer delicacy. Loved it. MUST VISIT. Must try: Beetroot Croquettes, Crab small plate, Lamb Ghee roast.

I recently visited this restaurant to enjoy a drink and sample their small plate options. I must say, the quality of the food was outstanding. The tandoori chops and the been pakaora were particularly impressive, leaving me thoroughly impressed and delighted. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, creating a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. The service was also exceptional, with the staff being quick and friendly, ensuring that I felt well taken care of throughout my visit. However, I did encounter one minor drawback during my experience. The taste of the drink I ordered was a bit odd, not quite meeting my expectations. Nevertheless, considering the exceptional quality of the food, this small issue can be easily forgiven. Overall, my recent visit to this restaurant left a lasting impression. The top-notch quality of the food, especially the tandoori chops and the been pakaora, exceeded my expectations and provided a truly delightful culinary experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming, and the service was commendable in terms of efficiency and friendliness. While the drink I had didn't quite hit the mark, it was a minor blemish compared to the overall excellence of the food.

Food was excellent. Favs were the soft shell crab, tandoor chicken chop, beet root small plate, and venison small plate. The bread pudding for dessert was incredible as well! Felix was an awesome server!! Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing indian food! Every dish was really delicious. I don't usually like potatoes but their potato was so great! The sauce of every dish was really well made and unique. I'd return :) (but the price is quite high)

Lovely dinner at Gunpowder. We went for the £45 feast menu which is a great way to try a variety of dishes from the menu. Good value for money, we were stuffed by the end of it! Highlights were the Goan prawns and tandoori chicken but we enjoyed every dish, so full of flavour and a nice change from the usual offerings at British Indian restaurants. Dhruv and the team were great which topped off a fab evening. Cocktails were also very good. Would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit to try the rest of the menu! Sit outside for a gorgeous view of tower bridge.

Excellent fusion restaurant serving Tapas type portions. (Lot of bad Google reviews here - mostly from Indians; if you turn up expecting N.Indian/Punjabi style Butter chicken-Naan etc, you will be disappointed. It's not that type of restaurant!). I recommend: the Soft Shell crab, the Ghee Lamb Chops, the Venison and Vermicelli donut and the Beetroot Croquettes. All 4 were dee-lish! In addition, had Saag paneer and chicken pulao - which was also good. Dessert: Old Monk soaked Bread+Butter pudding with ice cream was delightful. Really enjoyed. (one small CRITICISM: Saag Paneer doesn't belong on the menu. It's not a Tapas type dish - it needs a bread of some sort, on its own or with rice it doesn't work!) RECOMMEND!

Gunpowder Tower Bridge is in a superb location and very busy. The service is attentive, but not intrusive and the ambience is cool. However, the food is spectacular. DG and I were actually shocked by the dishes. Each one was unique and bursting with authentic Indian flavours. We took the soft shell crab, beef kebab and venison doughnut for starters. Each one was a taste sensation. We then followed with the beef rib and lamb chop. These are both mighty dishes. I am emotional just thinking about them. We ordered too much food and the bill was a little more expensive than we'd usually spend, but it was worth every penny. Gunpowder is a brilliant operation. Just brilliant.

The food was flavorful and well presented. Service was excellent. However….. nothing had a ‘wow factor’ as we expected from a Michelin star restaurant

Absolutely enjoyed all the cuisine. Menu is very unique compared to other Indian restaurants. We had both vegetarian and non vegetarian small plates. I must say this is the one of the best restaurants I have dined in. Service was very nice, the person catering to us was very friendly and considerate. I went for my celebratory graduation dinner and the food just made my day!

Really good restaurant! The food was really tasty and some was spicy. We went for 4 small plates and 1 shared + dessert. The egg curry masala is really good and spicy and the tandoori chicken chop is mild and super yummy. We definitely recommend the Lamb chop and add the yogourt as a side. Overall it was a great dinner but it was a bit pricy.

Went with my mate for dinner. We were surprised that this is not like typical Indian dishes rather smaller portion and taste good. We tried beef seekh kabab, shift shell crab, chicken and lamb chop.

This restaurant is right near Tower Bridge. I made a reservation in advance, this is a busy restaurant. The menu offers a variety of small plates and sharing plates which cater for a number of different tastes, be aware veg options are limited. It is definitely a limited choice menu compared to a typical traditional Indian restaurant. The food was served quickly, I went for the small plates and ordered a number of different dishes, similar to tapas. All the plates were presented well and I would say we're all delicious. Relatively expensive but the quality of the produce in each dish can be tasted. Every dish was full of flavour and was unique. My favourite dishes were the soft shell crab, tandoori chicken and duck, however everything was good. The ambience is nice too, we had a booth, service was good. We ate well, so 3 of us with a drink each, the bill came to £213. Probably a little over what I would normally pay, however worth the spend to sample some unique cuisine. I would recommend this as a treat, definitely wouldn't be a regular of mine, reserved for special occasions and treats or if you're looking to impress a date!

Our waiter, Felix, was absolutely fantastic. He very patiently helped the diners in our party who weren’t familiar with Indian food. The dishes he helped us select were excellent. The wine list was very good and paired nicely with our meal.

The standouts for our meal here were the passion fruit pisco sour, venison donut, both variations of croquettes, the spare ribs and the soft shell crab - would highly recommend each and every one. When we return we will personally stick to the small plates as they were much better than the sharers. Also finished the night with the bread and butter pudding which was to die for!
