I don't come here often enough! Don't expect fine dining but the food is amazing and well priced. The shop next door has a big range of alcoholic drinks (Lahore does not sell alcohol) and there is loads of room, great for large groups. It does get pretty loud in there! I highly recommend the lamb chops.

Authentic food. Don't expect great service - go there for the food! Highlights: Seekh Kebab, Mutton tikka, Cholay, Paratha and Chicken Karahi. The naan's could be better but overall, probably the best Pakistani food in London.

Best Kebab Restaurant in East London by far! Always busy (good sign in a restaurant) and always happy returning customers. The Lamb Chops are out of this world! So glad a colleague took me here one night whilst we were at work many years ago now. Can’t thank him enough for the recommendation. Just need to find an excuse to go all the way back to East London now to taste these delights again! Easily a 5

Shukran to the generosity and hospitality of the manager.. Food was delicious no doubt but more than his gesture towards giving extra coz he was happy to serve the first time customers to this no less then legendary place among Londoner.
What was surprising and pleasing was to see the place filled with mostly local Brits who were enjoying the kebabs curries like no tomorrow.
This place certainty knows what it takes to please the Asians as well as the local Brits ..

Kebab house serving delicious Pakistani cuisine with an option to do BYOB - bring your own booze.
The chicken and meat portions are good for sharing and the spice levels are customized per your requirements.
Their Lamb Nihari and Sheekh is what keeps pulling me back everytime. They serve till late too, making it a convenient spot for after party cravings.
Their Lahori Kulfi after a sumptuous meal is helpful.
The place tends to get crowded on weekends.
Don't go there for Paneer (cottage cheese).

Legendary kebab house Lahore Kebab House offers delicious, tantalising Pakistani cuisine. And luckily for me, it’s the closest restaurant to my home. Along with a BYO option for drinks, you trade off having decent service and sticky floors for getting authentic curries, grills and breads. An option well worth sharing for a crowd and bringing your own drinks helps to keep it a cut price affair.

Good Indian experience in the heart of London. The chicken and meat flavored was very good but the smell of the restaurant was quite string. Ventilation should be worked on. Recommended 👍

Well I wanted to have some authentic Pakistani food and based on the rave ratings people gave to this place I hunted for this place and tried it out. There is a lot of wait time to get in .. once in there is hardly anyone who'll attend to you .. the tables were greasy ..

Once I managed to order mutton seekh kabab I got one piece for 5 pounds .. butter chicken was sweet but tasty .. they offered mango lassi for I think 8 quid which was nothing more than sweetened mango extract mixed in lassi ..

The food taste was good but this place is highly overpriced and quantity is a joke ..

So this place was recommended by a friend with the advice: 'make sure there is more than two of you', and how right they were! So many dishes to try, but with a speedy service you can easily arrange your own cadence by ordering a few favourites and then extending from there. Lamb cutlets are essential. BYO is of course a lovely add to a relaxed feast with friends. Don't go expecting white table cloths and you won't be disappointed.

Finally made it here!  It's been on the radar for so long but last night totally hit me to come here after a preview at Whitechapel Art Gallery.  It's reassuringly busy and the windows into the bustling kitchen is a great touch.  Highlights of the meal were the starters we ordered of tandoori lamb chops and chicken wings which were outstanding.  Well spiced and extremely tender.  Judging by the temperature they must have been whisked from the grill to our table in less than a minute.  Miso satisfied

I used to go here as a child with my parents. They always say it is the best Pakistani food in London and I have to say it is pretty damn good. The kebabs and chops are to die for and the karahi gosht is one of the specialities. The kheer is the best I have ever tried embelished with crushed nuts.

Located in several places in london the place has a really good variety of sumptuous food in a desi environment.
The portions are big enough & quality of meat is good too.

Recommendation - the lamb chops and seekh kebabs are really good, even the lamb nihari had an amazing flavour. The chicken jalfrezi was an average dish.

Had passed Lahore Kebab House so many times but never ended up going there but this time was really craving some good lamb chops so decided to try this place out. I have to say these were probably the best lamb chops I've had! They were flavourful and perfectly cooked. We also ordered Nihari with some naan which was brilliant! The service was a bit slow and wasn't very excited about the ambience but the food definitely makes up for it. A must visit 😋

Lahore kebab is a must-go restaurant in London. Just be prepared to wait for a while to get a table; unless you have a reservation.

They don't serve alcohol. But you are permitted to take your own booze inside the restaurant.

Now coming to food, it is delicious and you will crave for more. I have been there a couple of times and I was never dissatisfied. I highly recommend trying 'Nihari'; It literally watered my mouth.

This place is super crowded on weekends. But once you taste the food u know why it's so popular. The ambience is ordinary but the non vegetarian dishes are out of the ordinary. My favorites are the lamb chops, nihari, seekh kebabs and the mutton pulao. The food can be heavy on the stomach if you over indulge.

Cheap... Affordable... Densely populated .. Very popular amongst most people. Had the chicken kebabs (juicy and nice!!)/ lamb chops(good) / prawn curry ('not too spectacular) / Karahi chicken (average) with a range of breads : garlic naan / chilli naan and aloo paratha (winner winner!!!)....
Finished off with an amaaazing malai kulfi (on The stick!) couldn't have enjoyed kulfi better ...

Looking forward to taste the biryani the next time and try my hands on seekh kebabs !

I would definitely recommend this one !

Boisterous mega diner in Whitechapel with fast and surprisingly accurate service, given the frenetic buzzing of staff between the hordes of hungry hippos. Their speciality is the grilled meats and everything I tasted was good. I am especially fond of their grilled lamb chops that are thin (probably cut when frozen to achieve the thin-as-leather profile), well seasoned and tender. Curries come in metal bowls looking rich and radiant. Did I mention service is fast? It's also friendly! BOYB policy means you can have a merry time for a reasonable meal price. An East End institution!

Well the place lived up to its expectations! We were craving for some yummy kebabs and that's what it offered :-) Mutton is something which you don't find so commonly in restaurants in London and that's what they specialise in. Have to say that their chicken tikka masala and chicken seekh kebab were ordinary .... But do go for Mutton seekh kebabs and Karhai Ghosht for sure!
Suggestion - walk a bit before going there to increase your appetite, lol

After having struck Tayyab's off the wishlist, I was like - "One down, one to go". I made a beeline on my last weekend of "bachelorhood" in London (Yes, the vegetarian wife was due to return from India the following week) to Aldgate East or thereabouts, to sample just the "Nalli Nihari" and a Peshawari Naan on the side - dishes that were highly recommended by colleagues at work.

Again, this was a no frills kinda place - something I was completely expecting. Simple chairs and tables, PaK TV on mute showing Wasim Akram's interview on the current state of the PAkistani cricket team and a bit of Imran Khan's political agenda, no music, the aroma of rich "ghee"-laden meat dishes wafting around - yes, this was what I'd come here for.

The service was prompt - I was served the most succulent Nalli Nihari ever, in a pretty large "Kadhai" (hemispherical brass serving dish). The meat fell off the bone, the Naan absorbing the super-rich gravy reminded me of physics lessons on "capillary action" during my school-days - I put on a gazillion calories in all of 45 mins. I just had to order a coke to wash it all down and burp one of the most satisfying burps I've burped in London.

Waiting for my wife to head back to India again - sometime soon (I'm kidding love :D )

Lahore Kabab house is the first place in London I remembering coming to for Indian/Pakistani food when the family moved here in 1990. I remember the ground floor being a small pokey place, the food was good but God help you if you needed to use the restroom because I'd cleaner ones at Indian railway stations.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a new & improved restaurant this time around. The ground floor has grown dramatically & the facilities are much cleaner than I remember them being.

We were a large group of 9 people including 4 kids so a lot of food was ordered including a selection of mutton & chicken tikka, mutton kebabs, mutton chops, mutton biriyani & chicken curry. It helped that we were able to speak to the staff in Urdu so ordering was easier and except for a forgotten order of plain papad executed without any goof ups.

The food was without exception of a high standard, the tikkas were well grilled & the mutton so well marinated that the tikkas weren't difficult to swallow. I would have preferred my tandoori roti to be a slightly smaller size so that I could have had more than one & been able to order them fresh during the course of the meal.

Dessert was rice kheer in vacuum sealed containers that may or may not have been cooked on site & the meal ended with a sweet paan.

Ordinarily I stay miles away from Indian/Pakistani food while out of India but in who's case I didn't have a choice. I'm just glad the meal was worth me violating one of my unwritten travel rules :-)

I love having food at this place because of it's amazing curry. I always make sure to drop by here at least once whenever I visit the city. The quality and taste of food is so good that it can be considered at par with the best street food and the food is priced accordingly as well. I am a crazy fan of lamb chops and can have 10 of them in a go.

The restaurant is no ordinary kebab house and one of the best in the area. It is huge and has a fantastic atmosphere. There is a glass front kitchen in the restaurant and I could watch the chefs cook in there for hours, especially the chefs making naan breads. The service is quick and the food is delicious but the curry they have to offer is not the best I've had. It is reasonably priced and customers can bring their own alcohol. I am a regular and have never been disappointed. It's a great place to go to with a few friends or a big group.

One of the best places serving non vegetarian Indian cuisine.
The portions are huge. And the food is delightful.
The lamb and meat curries are to die for but the service is unorganised.

An authentic Indian restaurant in London that shall amaze and surprise on so many levels that it is absolutely delighting.

An inventive concept. We often do not order from the menu here. Instead we let the waiter know how much we desire to spend and he brings dishes accordingly. We just tell him a few of the things we like and do not prefer, so as to give him an idea. They do some great vegetarian food as well. And the best bit is that its is always a full three course meal.

I had a great meal here. I simple loved everything we ordered. The lamb chops, naan, samosa, starters.
However, my biggest complaint would be the atmosphere. It was much too causal and laid back. As such, in case one is looking for something more fun along the atmosphere side, it would be a bad idea. On the other hand, you will find some great Pakistani food here.

Went here for dinner last night. The mouthwateringly tantalizing smell of kebabs will reach you a few minutes before you even reach the restaurant. Ordered Mutton sheekh kebabs and the Mutton chops for starters..These were outstanding..tender meat well spiced. For the mains we ordered methi chicken with tandoori roti and also a kheema paratha. The mains were pretty decent. Food quantity is good for the price that you pay. The staff is polite and will engage in a conversation about the dishes (if it ain't too crowded). 2 hungry bellies be filled in £25.

The British curry house has a fond place in the hearts and minds of my adopted countrymen, starting right back from 1810 when the first restaurant opened in London, so much so that Chicken 'Tikka Masala' is oft referred to as Britain's national dish.

And nowhere are the curry houses more prevalent than the East London of today. Brick Lane has long since been a mecca for those on a curry hunt, but I I implore you to take a short walk down Commercial Road and make for the bustling Lahore Kebab House. Those in the know will agree with me, there are but two contenders for Best Curry House and they are Tayyabs in Whitechapel or the one that gets my vote, Lahore Kebab House.

The lamb chops are a must and within minutes of arriving on the table, the plate is empty & the clamourings for more orders of these begins the second people have tasted it. These are moist, fragrant and unusually for a meal out, taste just as good cold as they do hot. This I only know because a lone chop was buried underneath a Paratha, it certainly wasn't given the option of getting cold, they were eaten too fast!

Other great orders included the Paneer Tikkas, Chicken & Seekh Kebabs, and at one point I was sorely tempted to cancel the more traditional mains and simply continue with the diet of flavoursome grilled meats with soft chewy Paneer to complement. But we persevered and a large complement of popular dishes bearing traditional names of Bhuna, Jalfrezi and Korma arrive swiftly after, with some of the best Dal Tarka I've ever tasted!

The queues are snaking out the door here, there is no hint of reproach as we rowdily plough through our meal, clinking our glasses, gossiping and making merry and by the time we are ready to leave, we leave 10 extremely happy customers, already planning to come again.

The only reason I gave this place 4.5 instead of 5 is because the interior is a bit bland and if your going out with family or friends I find it's more pleasant to be in nice surroundings. However the food here is fantastic with the best lamb chops in London (just better than Tayaabs) and the dry lamb is very good (Tayaabs is better) but you will have an excellent meal for a very cheap price.

Such is effect of this place, that me & my wife had made it as a ritual to visit this place once a month irresp. of wherever else we eat or dine around!

Be it the kebabs, nans, biryani, daal or the famed nihari 'LKH' is always going to be one of my fav places in the city for a nice eat out which stays in your memory for days! :)

I remember when this place was a small take-away with just a family room available upstairs. The now sprawling two floor establishment, with 350 covers, is a testament to how good the place is.

I'm not sure how true their claim of being one of only a few restaurants that serve authentic Pakistani food, but whatever the case they do serve up some brilliant nosh - on our table there was dhal, haleem and kebabs, all so good I found it difficult to stop.

Decor is nice and clean and service was relatively good considering the place. I would say that, being a bit too popular, it does feel like a bit of a marketplace, but once you get your orders in the food did come pretty quickly.

Costing around a tenner a head Lahore isn't the cheapest place to eat this kind of food. But for the quality and cleanliness it's very good value and so takes a place amongst my list of places to go a bit more regularly.

One of the best curry house in London. Some of the best seek kebabs and lamb chops. The best part about the place is you can carry your own booze. 4 friends ate a lot of food starting from starters ( i recollect all kind of meat available) to main course to desert and ended up paying £45.

A visit to this place is always nostalgic. I have been going to this place since my bachelor days.
The decor is somewhat dingy and cramped. It is always packed, noisy and chaotic.
The restaurant doesn't serve any booze. You can buy some across the road and pay a corkage fee. Service was quick.
Spiced lamb chops to start and the biryani special for a main course are my favorites.
The food was excellent with decent portions.
Good value for money.

Lets me set the expectation right before anyone goes there - You are going to satisfy a carnal sin - Gluttony and nothing else.

You buy your booze, clammer for space, sweet talk the waiters to get you a place, eat like a hog and come out smelling like you have been to a curry house. There is nothing nice about it - ambience is mediocre, waiters make you feel like they are doing you a favour by serving you food, you may have to ask for your cutlery to be changed, the list can be long. But dont lose site of your purpose, you are here to EAT!

Food here makes your taste buds come alive. Possibly the best kebabs you can get in London, Lamb chops are succulent and juice, chicken legs/ chicken tikka are heavenly and Karahi Gosht is makes you swoon. And the icing on the cake is the price - you dont have to wreck you bank to pay for the meal, a standard man would struggle to get a bill over 20.

I would recommend any connoisseur to go there and feel the vibrant taste of authentic north indian food.

I have a soft spot for this place. I usually go with a crowd. You buy beers from the off license around the corner and turn up en mass. The service is good; the food is served quite quickly. I am never the one to order, someone in the group with more knowledge of pakistani food orders for the table. It is always delicious. The atmosphere is very buzzy and loud. I love it and will no doubt return.

Tasty food, quick service, Bring your own booze, Dhaba/Machaan, a bit noisy but better than typical posh desi restaurants. Food : Taste and amount was excellent. I was in London for 4 days and went there for every dinner. Nihari and Kebabs were so yummy. In some dishes you can notice some oil on top but if you are not super health conscious, it shouldn't bother you much. Service: Service is really quick, it hardly takes them 5 minutes between ordering food and receiving it. In comparison to the top rated restaurant opposite side of the road, this place was more welcoming. I wouldn't name the other one but they are more interested in their regular customers and delivery guys. But Lahore Kebab House makes you feel at home when every Roti/Naan is coming fresh to you directly from kitchen in a snap of a finger. Atmosphere : It's not a typical posh restaurant kind of feeling but more like a Dhaba/Machaan where you can bring your own alcohol, have tasty food and chat with your friends/family. It might feel a bit noisy when you enter for the first time but slowly those noises take a back seat once food is served 😉

Always busy always good food A hidden gem in London Will keep coming back. Its a must try for lovers of no frills proper curry Popular with locals and service is always fast. They don't have a alcohol licence so it's BYOB and off licence is next door across the road. Lamb chops are a must for starters Love the lamb dishes in general Always tasty always a good portion Cheese dishes are also fab as is the rest of it. Could do with a few different pickle options then just mango and mint but what the heck

A monthly visit here is a must! 😋 Ever since we discovered this hidden gem, it’s been our favorite Pakistani canteen. Every dish is Gorgeous and you just cannot control yourself to eat slowly with their garlic naan together! 😋 My favorite is the chicken curry with bones! Not everyone wants to bother to enjoy meat with bones and I do! It’s much more savoury somehow! 😋 My bf loves chickpeas Every Single Time! 😋 Yummy guaranteed! 😉

• No drinks. BYOB from store next door • Mom and type vibe. Go here for great food. • Quite fantastic especially the kababs • Fast fast service • Overall the curries were quite greasy Legendary - as good as it gets • Chops- Lamb or goat • Seekh kababs - goat and lamb Fantastic - must order again • Paneer tikka • Saag aloo Not bad - could do again • Nihari - it had bone though. Very very hearty • Goat karahi • Saag chicken - a bit too greasy Just ok • Goat tikka • Chole Avoid • Tandoori Prawn The roti / naan was tough

East London institution! Visited after a number of years. Still good - but, unfortunately not as good as it used to be once upon a time. The grilled/tandoori foods were great... Seekh kebab , lamb chops were on point! The biryani was decent too... However the curries were poor. Gosht was poor (bizarre to explain - but watered down curry but oily at the top. Was just wrong). Veg curry side was also poor. If I had to go again - I'd just have kebab naan and nothing else.

We had heard so much about this place from our friend and decided to try it ourselves. Although we stay in South Croydon a few of us decided to drive over this afternoon for lunch. Let me tell you - THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Service, cleanliness and atmosphere did not disappoint. The place may not look like a 5 star restaurant but do not huddle this book by its cover. I will stack up this restaurant with any 5 star place and still choose this restaurant. The taste is so authentic and the is nothing contrite about it. We not only ate our lunch but packed enough for the next two days. Definitely coming back.

This place has fantastic food. Our server recommended great things for us which were all delicious. Only negative thing about him was that he's a Manchester United fan.

Best Indian food we ever had! The grilled lamb chops, garlic nan and mango lassi were out of this world 😱 and it was also affordable which is great. Just the service was a bit chaotic and not as welcoming.. but that’s maybe a culture idk.. we didn’t really mind because the food was so good

Incredibly good Indian and Pakistani food. Good service. Cafe ambience. Best way to enjoy this experience is to order a whole host of dishes and curries and kabobs and naans and diving into all of them family style. It’s good comfort food. Insanely inexpensive. You get sticker shock when you see how much food you ate and how little you paid. Clean. You can bring your own beer. There are beer stores right next door. Super convenient. Ability to watch the chefs cook your food. Highly recommended viewing. Highly recommended if you visit London and are in the area. The desserts are super sweet and tasty. As is the mango lassi. Hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. We know since we ordered almost every single item.

Been meaning to come here for a long time after so many recommendations and I'm so happy I finally got the chance. The food was amazing and full of flavour. The lamb chops in particular were my favourite. The staff were friendly and the whole place has a street cafe vibe. This place gets really really busy. If you want a very casual Indian with a good selection and great food, this is a top pick.

The best value restaurant in London, and the staff is very attentive. The service is so fast. Both their curry and kebab are delicious. You need to order the lamp chops. Would come back again for sure.

The complimentary salad and jug of tap water are nice touches, and the service was good. However, the food was a little bland and my chana masala was lacking heat. The portions and price are good but more spice is needed .
