Hip atmosphere, efficient service and flavorful food!
Their menu offers a great choice of different dishes ranging from small starters and sides to ramen, curries and teppanyaki. The yaki udon had a nice chew and the mix of chicken, prawn and egg made for a nicely rounded meal. The bright vegetable packed bowl with chicken and caramelized onions was solid. The sticky red chili and miso sauce however, was far too thick to be a salad dressing and did not mix well with the other bowl ingredients. The side of sautéed vegetables was delicious but the portion size was far too small for the price charged.
Whilst efficient, one of the servers was a bit rude and we felt quite rushed to place our order. The idea of paying quickly for the meal without having to call a server is good. The execution, however, needs improvement: many guest do not want to have to insert all their personal data (e.g., email, name) in order to be able to pay.
All in all, a trending restaurant and good choice for a quick, tasty meal.
I underestimated how spicy this dish could be, but loved it anyway. The portion looks small at first glance, but it was filling for me. True to its name, FIRECRACKER (chicken) CURRY.
Previously I tried a blueberry spice drink. This time I got tropical juice, which includes mango, apple and orange juice. Both are really yummy and refreshing. I would love to try their other drinks as well.

I would highly recommend the cherry blossom drink, it was very refreshing and sweet. I was a bit disappointed with the chicken gyoza ramen, the pak choi didn't seem fresh, the leaves weren't green and it wasn't because it was roasted. Overall friendly staff, and nice views.
great pit stop after a lovely afternoon at the Tate (restaurant located directly opposite). Can never really go wrong with a hearty and warming ramen from Wagamama. Opted for the vegetarian gyoza ramen and it was simple but delicious. Would eat again.
My experience in this particular place was incredible. I simply have to leave great feedback. From the door as soon as we got in me and my friend we were taken care of. We were served by a Polish guy Piotr. A Happy smiling person with great energy -the best start you can have. I wasn't sure what I wanted so he recommended- Ramen. Honestly, the best I ever had!!! So far -Thank you!!! 🥰 He was checking up on us... Making sure we are absolutely happy. We loved the place vibe and service especially Piotr made our day extra special. He deserves to be noticed by management -not many people put so much effort into making customers happy. We will be back for sure to this spot and we also hope to be served by Piotr. We recommend everyone this place. Amazing service and delicious food!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing fresh food. Nice staff. This is probably one of the best chains in the uk and this one is up to the same high standard. I had the chilli chicken ramen followed by banana katsu (banana fritters with ice cream) both were superb. The blueberry juice was good. The coconut ice cream was as good as the best (and far more expensive ) I have had in rome and Venice. Worth going there just for that.
Great food. They even let us order off menu. The food was delicious and spicy spicy spicy! If you can handle spicy food like me then this is the spot. Left full and satisfied. We came on a Saturday so you can imagine the service was good but the waiter was very busy. Overall 10/10
After almost 30 years I return to Wagamama with pleasure and hunger.
And again they deliver! Generous portions packed with flavors. Quick and smiley service, decent price. You really can't go wrong if you enter that restaurant.
I was so hungry so all you get is a pic of an empty bowl and some atmosphere 😀
Cheers
Ok! So the 4 stars is because of the yummy food and the portion size. Had it not been the case then it would definitely have been a 3 star! The server was friendly but food service was random and at times VERY slow. Just a glass of water took 10 minutes! Seated at the far end of the restaurant also meant it near impossible to get the attention of staff who predominantly loiter at the cashiers desk/bar.
Bankside Wagamama is just the best. From the food to great service from the staff. Went there nearly everyday during my short trip to London. The staff welcomed us warmly everytime no matter how busy they were and gave us free desserts before we left London. What a lovely unexpected gesture! Shout out to Noor, David and to all the other staff whose names I didn't get, Keep up the great service !
I had the spicy squid and some ramen. It was my first wagamama experience and I have to say I'm quite happy. The staff was nice and helpful, though our server had no uniform on for some reason. The place looked clean and the service was just fast enough. Prices are reasonable especially for a business in the centre of London.
Visiting from Australia and this place is close to our accommodation. We both had the gyoza ramen which was really tasty. The server was concerned that it was quite hot but we didn't find it overly spicy; in fact we both added soy sauce and chili oil! Was a nice night so we sat outside. Only downer was we had to ask for someone to take our order.
Excellent experience!! My go-to place especially since I have a couple of allergies. The staff are wonderful and accommodating and the food is so good. Thank you to everyone at Wagamama Bankside and keep up the excellent work!
