Stopped here for a pint and nibbles on a hot sunday afternoon. Was quite busy but we got a table outside it was like going back in time.
The beer was good and your salted nuts came in a paper bag just like the good old days.
Love this place! Great food (get the herring) and a decent pint. If I was to be bit picky, it would be that the bar furniture (name the stools) are unsafe and not pleasant for a seat. Do stand at the bar. Other than that, what a golly little pub.

Tiny pub with laid back atmosphere. Perfect for a quiet pint or glass of wine. Can comfortably sit a dozen inside, or two dozen uncomfortably! Food is basic but there's an interesting selection of books to pass the time.

Step back in time in this charming, friendly pub. The atmosphere, service and even quality of light seem to speak of past times. Asking for the wifi code felt anachronistic! I didn't have anything more than a lemonade, but the food looked good and I'm told the beers are very fine.

One of the oldest pubs in London, right behind Royal Courts of Justice. Their food is absolutely amazing, outstanding even. You can close your eyes and poke at the board-cant go wrong. Food changes all the time. Dog friendly and open 7 days a week. One of my favourite places in town
We arrived on a weeknight for dinner.... Attracted by the fact of its being the oldest, longest continuously operated pub in London.
When we arrived, we saw approximately 100 people standing outside across the street chatting with one another. We thought initially it was a line for the pub.
