Anchor Bankside - London - Photo album

Visited after ten years with my family this time. Still has very nice and tasty dishes. Burger and fish n chips are so good. A Kids menu would be nice however
The food was amazing everyone was really nice & kind. Surely some improvement of furniture must be done in the future but the general atmosphere is excellent. You should visit Anchor for sure !! The steak & ale pie was 10/10, the fish & chips 8,5/10 (pies was probably only boiled) and the Anchor Bur
An awesome river site pub. Roof terrace, riverside terrace, indoor wood panelled seating areas. A great place to hang out and popular with office parties with lots of areas to book out. It’s cashless so bring your card (or your boss with their credit card!). Staff are friendly and efficient. Toilets
Amazing pub along the river. Really big, with a great outside area where you can enjoy the views especially during sunset. Standard beer selection. Great food selection, amazing fish and chips, and fast service. Only downside the bars not really fast and get really busy during peak hours.
We loved it! We walked through a long alleyway to find the pub and almost gave up but happy we persevered! We had a delicious meal in a great setting! We will def be back. Try the beer battered fish and chips or the pot pie - SO good!
Lovely Pub! 🥰 Plenty of inside and outside seating! You can sit on the rooftop garden or next to the Themse. A great variety on the menu and loads of drinking options. The inside is stunning! ❤️ makes you really travel back in time. You order on the bar downstairs or upstairs, doesn’t matter. 😌 Ther
Was wandering London and looking for somewhere to have a pint and stumbled across the Anchor. The outdoor bar had a decent selection of beers and drinks and service was relatively quick. It had great outdoor seating and views along the river but still suitably quiet and away from the hustle of the c
Fish and chunky chips were nice. Food was served very quickly. Plenty of room to sit in at different levels. Close to Burrough market and the river Thames. Nice atmosphere.
The place has a great atmosphere. It has a terrace on the side of the river. The waiter was helpful and food was delicious. We just sat there and drink after dinner for hours, because the view is beautiful.
Food was absolutely delicious. Gets a bit crowded in the afternoon. You have to find your own seat, then place your order at the bar. Don’t forget your table number. So don’t expect a waiter to come around. Can also make the service difficult as you have to find someone to help you, or you can just
Our second visit. Discovered this pub while on a walk along the Thames. Great atmosphere and location on the river. Food is good but they can get really busy and the staff can get overwhelmed. Try to visit on off hours. Definately worth the visit.
It is good to go there for Sunday dinner, I chosen Sirloin Beef, it’s quite good but small size. Good landscape good view. If you are not too much hungry It’s quite good.
I have been coming to this place for years and whenever I take my clients along the southbank, I include a visit to Anchor on my plan either for a quick beer or gin& tonic or for food. I have never had a bad meal here but I really recommend either the steak and ale pie or fish and chips. It is a big
As a visitor to London on business i came across this pub whilst looking for somewhere for lunch. The best steak I've had for a long time, cooked perfectly, just how I like it. Triple fried crispy chips were a delight and the apple pie and ice cream was to die for. This pub is a hidden gem with frie
Great spot right on the river. Nice pub with multiple levels and lots of seating. Beer was fresh and cold! Busy on a Monday evening.
Popped in for a quick lunch while walking along the riverside. Food was amazing, very welcoming atmosphere. Bar staff also polite and friendly. Venue is busy during the weekend hence it may take some time to find a table. Like the atmosphere and the floor layout where one can find a cosy corner on t
Good place to get a great riverside view and a wide range of brews. Food was above average. The sit-out area has a more lively vibe compared to the space inside. Overall a great place to sit back and chill and enjoy the view.
Very nice location right on the Thames. If you are looking for a seat shortly before 12, you can still get a nice table on the roof terrace. Orders are placed here at the bar and payment is also made directly here. The food and drinks are then brought to the table via the table number. The quali
The place is really good, has this old tavern atmosphere but with tid bits of modernity. Food was incredible, the Anchor Burger (their specialty) was awesome! Really recommend it! King prawn + chorizo, was a great start although a little expensive if I had to say due to the proportions. Nonetheless,
