I have visited this place twice and definitely I am going to return many times.The first time I had one of the best coffees I tasted in London and the second time the bike mechanics helped me unlock a pedal and really saved my day!

The Scrambled Egg and Bacon Bagel was the best I have ever had and the coffee, excellent.
I absolutely love it here - unreal oat milk lattes and my bike was fixed within 3 days (despite it needing a part ordering in!)

Great for coffee and tea, and a friendly place where you can chill, work, chat, or just play with 'maurice' the dog of all dogs. I'm about to buy a bike there too, go for it! :)
They not only do good coffee and sandwiches, they lent me tools to fit a new brake cable after mine snapped.

Also I had a salmon & cream cheese bagel with added avocado and it was real fresh. The bagel itself was soft and tasty even by itself, with good looking slices of salmon. Great quality ingredients and nicest staff. Highly recommended 👍🏼

New to the bike game, so wasn’t sure what was wrong with my bike, they took it in and fixed all same day! My breaks are so good now and the overall feel of the bike is so nice! These guys are super friendly and know what their doing, love the setting too, nice cute cafe with enough space to bring your bike in with you! Annnnd a cute dog too! Oh and they gave it a lovely clean too :) thanks guys!
Love this quirky chilled cafe combined with small bike shop at the back. Lovely fresh chewy yummy bagels, excellent coffee and healthy vegan salads among what is offered here.

My chain snapped on the way into work yesterday, this was the closest bike shop to me, I explained I was on my to work and could they do it for me straight away. They served me even when presented with an unusual high powered electric bike. I was back on the road within 10minutes. Excellent service, polite and a great price. Thank you.

Hands down the best bike shop in London! The staff are all super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, James and Max make such an effort with every customer i've seen to ensure they're back on their bike as soon as possible. Have recommended this shop to everyone i know, their service is second to none and they have no qualms about their 3 month warranty either.
The cafe itself is really nice and the coffee and food selection is great. I often find myself hoping something goes wrong with my bike on the way home just so i can pop in for a coffee, one of the insanely gooey brownies and a chat with James!
What a great addition to Deptford high street! Max runs a great cycle shop, and is both pleasant and efficient. I appreciated that he took the time to phone to update me on progress. Really quick turnaround on a blown-out tyre for a slightly odd model of bike, and at a decent price. Nice to get a free coffee with the bike service, which was solid, and a tasty egg and hummus bagel as well. Highly recommended all round.
Best coffee in Deptford! I have also taken my bike to be looked over at their workshop recently and could not recommend their service more. They are extremely honest, knowledgeable and genuinely nice people. Definitely worth a visit whether it is for the coffee, food or the workshop!
I live across the road and I absolutely LOVE Velo.
The coffee is excellent, I stop here on my morning route to work and often at the weekend, before I embark on my weekend plans. The food; bagels, omelette and sandwiches is consistently good. My favourite bagel is the bacon and avocado. The gluten free brownie is amazing.
The cafe acts as a bike repair shop. I often sit in the cafe and marvel at the sense of community about the place. At the weekend, dozens of cyclists descend on the place, chatting with one another.
The employees of Velo are certainly passionate about bikes. I've eyed up a few of their bikes, when they get to work. Impressive kit. Most of all, the employees of Velo are incredibly friendly and polite.
The cafe, bike repair shop or hub of the community, whatever you want to call it, is an institution. Good coffee, great food, excellent service. Definitely worth a visit!
Have been coming here for a year now, so figured I know it well enough to write a solid review. Has the best combination of friendliness, affordability, comfortable atmosphere. Hip without being pretentious. Yummy food and good consistent coffee. Meal deals during the week are the best!
Edit: I have since had my bike completely serviced by the mechanics at Velo and I couldn't have been happier some adjustments and further repair was needed after the service and all was done free of charge as they have a 3 month warranty on their services! super helpful. Legends
The best bike shop I know, no doubt. The mechanics are the most dedicated and patient guys I know. The coffee shop itself, amazing! Great coffee and the bagels are super nice. Plus, Maurice (the coffee shop dog) is well sweet. :)

Have enlisted the help of London Velo a couple of times now, ranging from a tyre replacement and inner tube replacement through to the gold service/part replacement. The staff have always been helpful and have quick turnaround times (48 hours) once you get through the actual waiting list (more on that later). For the gold service, I knew I was going to require a lot of replacement parts, and so while the outlay for repairs seemed a little high, I feel they did a great job and my bike feels like new again. I also like the fact that I've usually received a free coffee while waiting for smaller jobs which is a big plus!
The only reason I am rating 4 stars (more like 4.5) rather than 5 is that the waiting times at present are rather long (around 3 - 4 weeks). Of course I do appreciate that this is likely due to the fact there are more bikes on the roads over the course of the pandemic, and so it may be unavoidable. Even so, it does make it a little more troublesome getting things fixed, although I can imagine that small jobs could be done with less lengthy lead times.
Overall though, I'm very happy with the quality of service provided here, and am very glad they're my local bike shop!
Got a great service on my bike after using it on my commute for just over 6m. they got it done in 1 day and it runs smoother than ever before.
I enjoyed getting advice on a new saddle which I ultimately purchased through them. Good to have someone with experience share thoughts instead of buying something online.
Also tried the coffee - I actually asked how a flat white is made and the blond guy showed me how to make it myself - really enjoyed it!!!!
