One of the best Japanese restaurant in London. For the price, it’s unique turn on Japanese food is exceptional.
The wagyu is amazing and the salads are refreshing! The price might seem hefty but it is worth every penny. The black cod is delicious and the fish is very fresh. It has become one of my
I was blew away by how authentic the food was. The quality and the service were impeccable. Love every dishes we had. It was my friend regular place, according to him the food has been consistent throughout the years. You will not regret any dish you have ordered.
Best sushi in London hands down
The quality of the fish is great and the staff is very knowledgable .
We had the sushi and sashimi set as well as some extra plates .
The octopus starter and the aubergine miso plate were the highlights🤤🤤
As for the sashimi you cannot go wrong , it’s all super fresh
Make me feel like I have been back to Japan
Sat at the bar and watched the chefs preparing dishes in front of us.
Highly recommend the Assorted Sashimi which is of high quality and can taste the freshness.
Also, The Unaju (barbequed eel on rice) sauce was freshly cooked which blends the soft eel and chewy rice very well.
However it is quite
High end cuisine, fairly priced, actually lower than I would have expected.
I came here with my friend who has visited it so often that she has already tried everything on the menu and she ordered everything.
Apple sake is rather special comparing to all the plum sake jn Japanese cuisine restaurants
The freshness and flavour of all fishes and sea food was the highlight of the experience. I’ve ordered only two dishes: pork belly as a starter (great choice, tasted divine) and sashimi as my main. I had a delicious peach sake for dessert as they only offer ice creams for dessert and I didn’t feel l
A good place to recall memories travelling to Japan.
Began with a warm welcome, service quality could be better by offering a hot towel to each guest.
Medium fatty tuna was up to standard. The fat was distributed beautifully. Sushi rice could be improved by adding a bit more sushi vinegar replica
Really authentic Japanese cuisine. One of the freshest sea urchin I’ve ever tasted in London. Unagi is amazingly cooked and good proportion. Only downside is that it’s a bit overpriced for what they are offering, but understandable for the location. Will recommend when you are in that area.
Exquisite. That's the only word I can use to describe Ikeda. Since our first visit in October 2021, this has become my favourite Japanese restaurant in London. From the family and very Japanese feel, waitresses in kimonos and don't speak too fast so they understand you, to the quaintness of the rest
We ordered vegetable tempura, grilled salmon, grilled beef, some rice and plum wine. The food is good in general. The salmon is especially good. The plum wine is also of good quality.
Price is high. £107 for 2 of us.
Will probably come again.
+ Food is good. Especially the salmon
+ Great service
Authentic Japanese food. Two dishes that impressed me are the seafood broth in a teapot, and blackcod. Nigiri uses fresh ingredients but I am not able to tell the difference between this and some other good (and less pricey) Japanese restaurants. Service is really good and friendly. I was catching u
A simple but nice sushi place if you are looking for high quality assured food. Quiet and cosy
My favourite Japanese restaurant in London. Food is amazing, service is spectacular. I love it so much and always come here for special occasions. Expensive but worth it. Also their Yuzu-shu is lovely!
Great place to visit! Small dining area but wonderful service and food. I love the unagi don and chawanmushi there! A little bit pricy but completely acceptable for what you will get. Recommended!
