SAMA hosted a 30th for us last week - was a fantastic night! The whole team was so friendly and accommodating, the food was exquisite (buttermilk chicken �) and the music was top! Venue as a whole is huge, trendy and relaxed - great vibes - defo recommend!
I know i’m a few weeks late but can i just say a huge thank you to Steve & his colleagues for taking good care of me (the birthday girl) & her friends on Saturday the 10th March. For all of us that attended it was our first time at Sama and this is the number 1 spot for grown, eclectic and great grooves & spacious atmosphere if you want a lovely night out or to celebrate an event. I definitely will be back and this bar has got what it takes to be one of the best venues i’ve been to in a long time. No pretentious business at that door just straight up happy vibes.

Friday night DJ set was killer! The staff and security were so friendly and accommodating AND the night time bar menu was pretty delicious. The cocktails were well made to a high standard and the toilets were clean. I Loved it �

Steve, Humphrey, Ali and all the team at Sama Bankside were amazing. Exquisite venue, If you want to listen to some great music this is the spot. I'm looking forward to our next night out here!

Great stylish but friendly venue with awesome music
Have been for two evenings already and have enjoyed both times immensely. Food was great and the drinks were flowing. Good vibe meant fun was had by all.
It left strong memories such that I have organised another function for all mu university friends (from 30 years ago) to have our next reunion there on 26.10.2017.
They do nice and simple pizzas. Quaffable house white and house red and of course a huge range of other drinks and cocktails. Not always main brand. No JD, but plenty of higher quality bourbon
I attended a free Sunday weekly Soul Music event.
I didn't eat, but saw many of the dishes and they looked really nice.
The venue itself is lovely. Very spacious and atmospheric.
Easy to get to via Southwark or Blackfriars stations. I will definitely be going again
What a hidden gem! Lovely bar in a great location with some outside tables as well. Manager Steve was incredibly helpful with our business event and gave us a very competitive price compared to other local venues. The staff are brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommend. Yummy pizzas too! We had a great night and we will be back!
Many thanks to Claire & the staff yesterday at the Mi-Soul event. Very accommodating & helpful. My rice n peas & chicken was gorgeous. We had a great time. I will definitely recommend this place. The DJ's played some great music. A great afternoon/evening. Not too late if you just want a short boogie after a wild weekend.
I had a fab late afternoon/evening at the *Mi-Soul Sunday* session💃. Great atmosphere, music, crowd and venue. Drinks are reasonably priced and the bar staff are lovely and efficient. I didn't eat so can't comment on the food. Twas the perfect way to spend a Sunday and I look forward to returning 🥳
For 5 years I have worked very close by and did know of this venue.
We had a small function for a retirement and I found it to be excellent
The food and drinks were great and the service good and friendly
It's quite a large venue across 2 floors under the rail track at Blackfriars, not that you would know that once inside
It was a great evening and I we shall be back there
Great venue, great acoustics, will laid out, with efficient air con! Drink price are cheap, but they're not stupidly expensive.
Looking forward to my next visit when I'll try the food!
Visited the Sama Bankside for the first Mi Soul event of the year. Was a great afternoon/evening soul music get together. A fun time was had by all. I didn't have any food but there is a bottomless brunch available.
Booked a party here due to the great service and friendliness of the staff. Can't wait to have it as well and they are really accommodating to any needs you have. Great fun for party bookings!

The venue is beautiful, the service from my server Evan was so pleasant. He maintained a smile on his face throughout my experience at Sama Bankside. I stumbled upon Sama on a bike ride and decided to have lunch around 2pm, I saw fish and chips advertised for £8.95 and could I say no? No 😂. Wow! Compliments to the amazing chef for his awesome food. The cod batter was light and fresh, fish was as precisely cooked as youd like. The double cooked chips were beautiful, hot and fasty! I noticed the mushy peas were cooked fresh onsite unlike some restaurants who use prepacked! Peas had a slight hint of mint 😍, for £8.95, I got more for my money than I expected! The atmosphere is AMAZING . Sama play current music on Bose speakers and this matches the beautiful urban design. Generally, this place is awesome for lunch or parties! Next time I'll try their HAPPY HOUR cocktails. Thank you EVAN!

Great experience. New restaurant and bar with unique rustic and artistic architecture, situated under 2 railway arches. Food was amazing and very creative cocktails. Took benefit of 241 offer. Best risotto in London. Highly recommended.
Lovely place to be atmosphere is nice and DJ playing wicked back in the days funky soul and rare groove and revival reggae music and so on .
Had drinks with friends, atmosphere was good, drinks were good as well. Giving 4 stars because when we wanted to order food, we were told the kitchen was closed.
Went there with my girlfriend for Valentine's and the ambiance was really cosy. It wasn't very busy and the décor was quite comforting. Food arrived fairly quick and they were delicious. We went for the set menu and the portions were perfect. Excellent place if you want to try something different but finding the place can be a bit hard as it's a bit of walk and hard to find.

Didn't get to eat unfortunately as I arrived too late. However the Soul Sunday event was Live! Great atmosphere and music👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
