Taken for lunch on Valentines Day. I have been lucky to eat in quite a few nice restaurants but this is top of my list. Staff, food, setting and ambience all top notch. Highly recommend.
Everything was exceptional, we took the Tasting Menu with wine pairing, a perfect balance between the wine and food, service was always on time and we felt very relaxed from the very beginning, attention to details was definitely another point to highlight. A truly fine dining experience.
A great place to go and appreciate creativity and good food. An excellent team and we were well looked after by the staff and made our celebration so special. The food was vey interesting and throwing a spring of surprise. Each dish was well presented and the excitement visually was just amazing and our taste buds had a treat with all kinds of taste, texture and colour. Thank you for making our Birthdays special! We look forward to dining here again!!
Fantastic experience dining here. Staff are genuinely nice and friendly. No sense of "snobbery" eating here or anything. Food very fresh and tasty. Nicely presented. Very good wine list available here. 2 Michelin Stars and priced reasonably
Cannot describe how amazing our starter was, out of our eight course menu. I had a tough time deciding and couldn’t tell which one I liked more. We went there for Valentine’s Day. Really liked the atmosphere, quiet and perfect for that special day. They had separate vegetarian menus as well. Once the third course arrived which was mainly black egg, and we informed the staff we didn’t eat eggs. They changed our dish immediately with another one from the menu. One of the waiters would specifically just take care of our drinks. They gave explanation about every dish served. Food out of everything was of course amazing. Had a great time overall. Gave us champagne and chocolates as parting gift.
It’s a while since I ate at The Greenhouse so I was looking forward to seeing what the new chef Alex Dilling had to offer. Wow the group of four of us were not disappointed. We had the tasting menu which included everything from caviar to truffles. The prettiest dish has to be the flower carved carrots on a delicate fish. The duck is roasted on the bone before being served. Elvis selected some fantastic wines. They should definitely retain their 2 stars with this level of food and service.
Used to be my favourite French restaurant in London. Amazing presentation and creativity. Excellent service and brilliant wine list. But after awarded two start Michelin restaurant, the quality was not as good as before, but still is one of the best you can find in London.
Went in for the Mother's Day Special Lunch, and was overall quite impressed. I could tell they were trying very hard to pull off a luxurious feel serving oscietra caviar, black truffles, and foie gras all in one meal, and they were all great, but at the same time I felt as if they might be lacking a bit of creativity by playing it too safe. The presentation and handling of all ingredients were text book perfect, but it was expected considering the quality of ingredients they're using. Would've appreciated a little kick of unexpected pleasant surprises, but combined with the professional service of staff and exceptional pairing suggestions from the somelier, it was overall a very pleasant dining experience. Also appreciated the cute complimentary birthday dessert for Dad and the take home chocolate.
It was my first time here but other family members have been several times, and have all said their previous visits were much more impressive, so maybe I'll have to check it out again next time.
Unfortunately they are now closed and we won’t get to enjoy their tasting menu any more. This was one of the best restaurants in Mayfair. Hoping to see a new owner soon and looking forward to what they will achieve in this wonderful place.
Love the little garden at the entrance.
We booked for lunch. Dinning room is modern and light... I would like some background music, but thats only my view. Food was absolutely amazing and well presented.
The service was smooth and welcoming.
Would visit again!
Top class food, especially the savoury dishes!! Would highly recommend the clam chowder, duck foie gras, landes chicken, and Dover sole.
Unfortunately the service seemed to have slipped since my last visit (this was my third). Our waiter wasn’t smiley or talkative :( Also a la carte menu wasn’t offered on arrival and we were only offered the tasting menus, which I found very strange. We paid £35 extra to have the sole and turbot as starters. We were told that the sole would be in main course size (and hence the high supplement) but it was starter size when it arrived (it was as small as the clam chowder).. maybe I should have asked about that when the dishes arrived...
The sommelier was knowledgable and funny tho:)
I ordered the Dorset crab (mint jelly, cauliflower foam, apple cubes), venison (wild berries, asparagus) and the cucumber. The flavors all blend together to make a savory yet refreshing dish. The “extras”: wasabi marshmallow (sweet but slightly pungent), thyme and other herbs on this puff pastry with duck infused oil (fragrant, savory), and a coconut dusted tart. Petit fours: a “lollipop” (berry exterior with crunchy almond) and chocolates.
The seaweed butter was amazing—it was very much like seawater and seaweed (if you have tried it before). Goes very well with the bread and rich butter.
Service was impeccable.
Food looked amazing but tasted pretty underwhelming for a 2 Michelin star restaurant.
The seaweed butter was, on the other hand, AMAZING.
The service was commendable during our time, with a 2 year old in tow, they managed the little ones spillage and treated her like a little princess which helped calm her down.
The place is immaculate, stylish and the service is of high standards. I believe food could be slightly better presented when it comes to the actual dishes.
Snacks were pretty cool and tasty.
Firstly the restaurant has a very beautiful green garden with a wooden walkway to the reception - great if one wants to take beautiful photographs. Inside, the restaurant has avant garden decor. The waiters and waitresses know the dishes in-depth and therefore give clear explanations regarding expectations. If you need help with wine selection just ask for a recommendation or go with a wine pairing menu. Many “free” dishes before and between different courses, very innovative approach to food preparation and presentation. Only issue I had was the caviar quantity was too small for the price when compared to other restaurants within the same level e.g Le Gavrouche who give 20gms for £10 less than than the Greenhouse where £45 gets you about only one 10gms. Overall the restaurant will offer you a true fine dining experience.
Stunning food in romantic and tranquil setting, yet atmosphere was relaxed. Our favourite dish was the crab, interesting flavours and textures balanced perfectly, definitely worthy of their 2 stars 🌟🌟
Very fine restaurant hidden in a quiet corner of London. Food and service always impeccable. Very good value for a two-Michelin-starred lunch experience.
It’s a really lovely place. French cuisine, British cuisine and innovation. The garden at the entrance it’s amazing. And the service too. The truffle dishes are delicious!
Wonderful experience. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a Michelin quality meal in London.
A bit salty and creamy for me but it was nice. The taste of pine trees leaves mix with scallop make me uncomfortable but I love the monkfish !
