Como não amar um público tipicamente inglês que, a meio de Portobello Market, nos permite a ingestão de "fish and chips" bem confeccionados, com um ambiente animadíssimo e serviço simpático e eficiente? É que nem as casas de banho escaparam ao escrutínio e também elas passaram com distinção. O peixe (um filete fresco e saboroso) e as batatas estavam muitíssimo bons e a maionese com pedacinhos de pickles uma delícia!
The pub itself is cosy and well decorated - nice aesthetic. Staff were nice enough too. The Sunday roast was GREAT! Good portion size and very tasty/flavoursome. I had 5 friends visiting from the USA and I wanted them to experience a good old British Sunday Roast in a proper pub - and I’m happy to say that we were not disappointed.
My only downside came from the fact the ladies toilets could be nicer - not a very pleasant smell. Also I’m not sure why was I charged £27.45 for the half roast chicken (£18) and an Amalfi Spritz (£6.95) which equals £24.95). I paid at the till, was I also charged a service charge? It would be good to understand this for future ref. Thanks!
Above average food and drink, lively vibe and tasteful decor! Fun place to be late afternoon til later in the evening.
Excellent beer selection, Moor’s old ale is my favorite. Fish and chips are delicious, as is the burger.
Leon and Ross make you feel right at home! Outstanding and a must visit when in Notting Hill area!!
Great restaurant for a quick bite - quite limited in terms of selection but has all the core goods and is very yummy - the service was ok as they were very busy so it’s understandable-long lines during the Saturday market

Great location, friendly staff, great selection of draft beers, and the burgers are excellent. We stumbled upon this place after visiting the nearby Notting Hill Book Store. What a fun location with interesting shops and a good-looking crowd.
The beer battered Atlantic Haddock was delicious. The grilled goat cheese, endive and rocket salad was also amazing. Even the dessert - Belgian chocolate brownie with salted caramel sauce and honeycomb icecream was lip licking. The menu mentions the calories for each item as well. The restaurant offers great ambiance and the service was quite good albeit slightly slow.
A bit behind on the review, however, this pub is sooo good. Good food and polite staff. Had a good time here and hope to be back soon for more!

A wonderful pub. We loved the fish and chips there. And the server was so nice as well as funny. All in all we had a good time. Later that day I realised I have forgotten my sunglasses at castle so I called them to say I’ll pick my sunglasses in a few days but I could only go back after a couple of months and they still had those sunglasses. All in all a really nice place managed by a very kind and considerate staff :)
We had Sunday roast here. Chicken option was great, with a variety of tender and juicy vegetables and half chicken.
We also had nachos, and fried chicken with honey and chilli. One of the best fried chicken I ever had. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great choice for lunch or drinks in Portobello Rd. We'll definitely come back!!!

Love this pub - a group of 5 of us had dinner last night, and the food (bangers & mash, chicken/ham pie and veggie burgers) was fantastic. Great atmosphere, lovely decor, and the most wonderful manager: Leon. Leon seems to run the pub/restaurant single handed - greeting, taking orders, clearing tables, organising the (young) team etc and all with a smile on his face. He’s a gem in this gem of a pub.
