Loved this place. So cosy and classy. Cocktails were amazing. Great location, Harrods is a stones throw away! Yes the food is pricey but you get what you pay for, there's a reason why food is cheap! Staff were lovely and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

Located opposite Harrod’s on Brompton Road, Mamounia Lounge Knightsbridge promises Middle Eastern culinary delights, inspired cocktails, an outdoor shisha lounge and entertainment too.

Mamounia has an Arabic themed décor reflected in the patterns and mosaics. This is paired with a baroque style best demonstrated by the enormous chandeliers and red velvet drape spread across the restaurant space. This makes an interesting contrast as Mamounia isn't trying to recreate a Moroccan styled restaurant, instead it is aiming for an eclectic mix.

Despite the decadent décor, there is a relaxed atmosphere to the restaurant, and as a results would be an ideal place for laid back group dining weather for lunch or dinner.

If you like being entertained whilst eating then Mamounia is the place for you, as post 9pm they have an array of belly-dancers and even DJs, Mamounia Lounge Knightsbridge also has a sister restaurant in Mayfair which matches the décor, cuisine and entertainment.

Would I Want Seconds?

Mamounia Lounge Mayfair has an impressive eclectic cocktail list crafted by expert mixologist which include Golden Oasis and Prince of Sahara. We tried the Mamounia Special which was similar to a Mojito and exactly what we needed to cool down on a searing hot day.

To start, we ordered a well spiced Batata Harra and Hommus Kawarma which consisted of a creamy chickpea puree topped with medallions of lamb and pine nuts. Both starters arrived in good time of being ordered and were a good portion size to start our meal with.

For our main course I ordered the Chicken Kafta which were grilled skewers of minced chicken with fresh coriander, garlic, green and red peppers. I was very impressed with this dish as the chicken was incredibly moist and tender, to the extent that it literally melted in the mouth. Although Chicken Kafta is probably a dish you can order in many restaurants in London, the dish served here was of a superior quality and definitely one of the best minced chicken skewers I’ve had!

My lovely dining companion choose the Grilled Lamb Cutlets and was equally impressed with the moist texture of the lamb. The seasoning on both dishes was also divine and added a beautiful extra layer to the dish. We had sides of rice and more Batata Hara with our food and although this was quite a large meal we had to try some desserts before we left!

Although Mamounia have a selection of traditional Moroccan and Lebanese desserts, I surrendered to my chocolate craving and ordered the Homemade Chocolate Fondant with vanilla ice cream and fresh fruits. As this desert is made to order it took about ten minutes to arrive but this provided us with the time to digest our previous courses! When the Chocolate Fondant arrived it was warm and deliciously creamy and made an gorgeous paring with the ice cream. The fruits which were mostly an assortment of berries added a welcome tangy kick to the sweet flavour.

My dining companion ordered the Selection of Baklava but sadly these didn't live up to our expectations. The baklava were not the traditional simple selection we thought we ordered and they were neither crispy or sweet. I have certainly had better baklava before. However this was the only criticism of the food itself and they redeemed themselves by serving the perfect Moroccan Tea.

Can I Afford Seconds?

Although located in Knightsbridge, Mamounia isn’t an overly expensive restaurant, especially for the quality of food served.

Mezze starters here range from £6 - £9 and are perfect for sharing. Main courses including the Tagines start at £14 and desserts are also in the £6 range and the unique range of cocktails are approximately £8.

Overall? 3.5/5

The food at Mamounia Lounge Knightsbridge was definitely the highlight of the experience.

The service varied between trying too hard to not paying much attention, but this may be because they seemed to be training new staff the day we visited.

We also didn’t hang around for the entertainment as we were there for the food but if you like to party after your meal, I hear this is the place to go.

With its dark, slick, interior and loud pumping music, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve entered into a nightclub. But no, Mamounia is a classy Middle-Eastern restaurant set in the prime location of Mayfair. The DJ and live set, blasts modern tunes mixed with Arabian music. This fusion filters through to the menu, where a few middle-eastern dishes get a European remix.

Just a stone's throw from Harrods in Knightsbridge is Mamounia Lounge, a restaurant serving traditional Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine and a bar with expert mixologists, plus a sister restaurant in the equally flashy, upscale district of Mayfair.

Mamounia Lounge is made for socializing: from the fragrant wafts of shisha that welcome you at the entrance (the restaurant's outdoor terrace is perfect for enjoying shisha pre- or post-meal), to the main restaurant which leads to the bar and lounge area, it's opulent in decor and perfect for settling your tired self into after an exhausting day of shopping Knightsbridge. I totally get it.

Just a stone's throw from Harrods in Knightsbridge is Mamounia Lounge, a restaurant serving traditional Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine and a bar with expert mixologists, plus a sister restaurant in the equally flashy, upscale district of Mayfair. We arrived on Friday night amidst a scene of Porsches roaring down Brompton Road and tired looking shoppers with Mulberry and Harvey Nichols shopping bags dangling from their arms. Having just finished a day's work (and a week chock full of socializing), all I really wanted to do was collapse in a puddle: Mamounia Lounge seemed just the place to do it.

It's the type of place you'd want to arrive at with a gaggle of girlfriends, recapping your new purchases and laughing the night away with a cocktail in hand. It's fun, and the staff are there to ensure you're enjoying yourself - without interfering too much, making recommendations when prompted and leaving you alone to chat when you're deep into a debate about Season 4 of Game of Thrones.

As we sipped our summery cocktails and perused the menu, I started to get all boring again by suggesting we order tabouleh and hummus to start (I always order tabouleh and hummus) before John said, "Why don't we try something different and try the pastilla of chicken instead?"

I'm so glad that he did, because that little parcel of filo pastry baked with shredded saffron chicken, almonds, and a dusting of icing sugar, glazed with an orange reduction, was magical.

I haven't had an 'OMG!' moment in a restaurant for a while, but this pastilla of chicken definitely warranted that reaction. The crispy outer shell of the filo pastry gave way to a beautifully nutty flavor within - a bit like a mini Moroccan chicken pot pie. I'm a huge fan of sweet and savoury though, so it's no surprise that I liked this dish so much.

We also ordered a side of hummus and pita, just to line our stomachs, and I have to say - no matter what, hummus and pita from a restaurant will always taste 100 times better than the bland hummus and dry pita you buy in store (or even make at home). Somehow, this hummus was creamy smooth and the pita, little fluffy clouds of warm bread (not to mention - the presentation was pretty impressive). Heaven.

By the time I made it back to our table, our main courses had arrived and I was really looking forward to my lamb tagine - again, something you can make yourself at home but it never tastes as good as it should.

Case in point: the cous cous was light and perfectly cooked (mine's always either over or under cooked, yikes!) and the lamb, tender and gently falling apart in the tagine. I loved the delicate flavors of the broth that was served alongside my dish, which enhanced the hearty, warming taste of the tagine, rather than detracted. No evidence of tinned veg or tomatoes here - everything was fresh and cooked with precision and care.

John's mixed grill (why do guys ALWAYS order a mixed grill?) was equally delicious and a great contrast to my tagine: the spiced meats were smoky and perfectly grilled (the lamb medallions were my personal favorite!).

Overall we had a fantastic time at Mamounia, and I would definitely go back. It would be great fun in Summer as you can sit outside and have Shisha - it was just far too cold Saturday night for us to even dare to brave it! All of the food was delicious, my only disappointment was the very loud music, the stodgy dessert, and also I found it weird how the staff uniforms were tracksuits...? But maybe that's just me. Despite those small annoyances, I would highly recommend a visit! I'm still drooling just thinking about that lamb!

I accidentally came to this place couple of days back.
The staff was pretty friendly and they were super helpful. I liked the atmosphere too .
When it comes to the food I did not liked it much , well it was because I take away my order and the packing of my food was not that great.
The rice was tasty and i had chicken too it was also good , the portions were also quite filling.
The next time I visit here , I will be coming here with a date and instead of taking away my food I will sit here and eat.

The location of this place makes it a pretty interesting place to check out especially at night.Though the extreriors might throw you off as only a shisha place but the interiors are very relaxing and fancy too.
The management must be complimented for their traditional cordial and skilled dealing. The staff is attentive and do not rush you.
I would although prefer a little a more casual authentic music.
As far as the food is concerned, they are incredible and the really recommend you try the finger licking chocolate pie and the chicken tajines. Must try.Cheers!

Cannot rave enough about the food, Excellent, delicious, mouth watering food! Only thing that offsets the very delectable and delighting food experience is the loud, blaring and coming onto you atmosphere . We randomly picked this place while walking towards the museum, and were very impressed by our experience. I ordered the vegetble tagine for myself and my partner took the shawarmas, and both of us were very pleased by our meals. In addition to the amazing dishes, I was also amazed by how refreshing and minty their tea was. The setting was very upscale and nice, but it was not over the top. The service was not very hasty, and it provided for a relaxing lunch.

This place has some strange confused staff for offering service. The couscous ordered by us was supposed to be accompanied with soup. Though the soup never arrived until we actually reminded them, this was not the only disappointing thing here. The couscous itself was incomplete. Following our complaints and acting like a mature, professional restaurant, the manager apologised and was humble enough to give us a set of baklava cake. Overall experience- average.

Mamounia lounge is a very modern Lebanese restaurant, which like quite a few places around Knightsbridge serves halal food.

I took my friend to dinner here for his birthday. I had made a reservation so we were quickly shown to our table. The interior of this place includes a lot of rich colours and is very sophisticated. I like the low lighting as it gives it a very intimate and urban vibe.

We had the chicken wings and fried calamari for starters
For main course we ordered the grilled chicken and rack of lamb, both came with green salad and white rice. We ordered a mixed salad and brown rice with some fries for sides. It sounds like we had a lot of salad, but the green salad the mains came with, was a very small portion. The lamb and chicken were delicious and both were cooked perfectly, I would definitely recommend it. We both ordered mocktails for drinks, but my virgin mojito was slightly too citrusy.

We were later entertained by a belly dancer, which completed the whole Middle Eastern experience.

For dessert we both had Mamounia Lounge's classic chocolate fondant, served with vanilla ice cream and fruits. The contrasting juxtaposition of warm, thick chocolate and cold ice cream had my taste buds tingling and dessert gets a big thumbs up. They also provide the Al-Fakhar brand of shisha flavors, which is a safe bet if you want to have good shisha.

I was a little cynical about going here, as a few of my friends had gone and not experienced good service. However, for me, the food was delicious, service was excellent and staff were very attentive. Although eating here was expensive and I thought the shisha was a little over priced too, I would come here again but probably for a special occasion and recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been.

I made my way to Knightsbride and passed the beautifully lit Harrods on my route to the restaurant with one of my good friends and was very excited to try the food, especially after a hard days worth of work in the office (ha ha).
I checked out the menu online beforehand – the Mamounia Lounge website gives you a true impression of the atmosphere of the place. I love Moroccan décor so this was just the perfect place for me. I loved the colours, the mood lighting, and the atmosphere – just wonderful.

We ordered our food and awaited our starters, which in the end was really delicious. I ordered the ‘Hommus Kawarma’ which is a ground chickpee puree served with pan-fried lamb and pine nuts. My friend ordered the Calamari.

The flatbread which accompanied our starter was so divine that I am drooling just thinking about it as I write this. You could taste that it was made fresh on the spot, there and then and had just come out of the oven. So soft and delicate and comforting like a pillow – I could just eat that all day long!

For my main I wanted a tagine dish. When in Rome and all that – but in this case Morocco of course. I ordered the ‘Kafta Tagine’ which is spiced minced lamb, served in a special tomato sauce and accompanied by rice. It tasted good, but I felt it needed to either have 1 or 2 more meatballs or they needed to be a little bigger as it seemed like they were drowning in the sauce. However, reviews should mainly focus on the taste, which did not disappoint.

My friend ordered the Lamb Skank and Chickpea Tagine which was also served in a tomato sauce. I tried a bit of the lamb and it just melted off the bone – delicious!

We ended up ordering the same dessert because there is no better way of ending a meal than with Baklava – my most favourite treat to eat! I particularly liked the almond and syrup based one (pictured in the centre) which is usually one I avoid when buying baklava because I find they tend to be too dry/hard and not so tasty. But this was on a whole another level. The other baklava’s were nice, but not as nice as the one in the grocery store near me on Edgware Road (in Paddington) called ‘ABY’. Seriously guys, if you ever get a chance to come down to this end of Edgware Road – get yourself some baklava from this shop! I’ve tried baklava from soo many places, and nothing beats their ones.
But in summary of my experience at Mamounia Lounge, I loved the décor, the food and the staff were pleasant. However, if it wasn’t for the voucher, I don’t think I would make this a regular place to visit because the menu is a little bit on the pricey side – especially when it came to the tagines, costing the average price of £19.50 each. Luckily the voucher covered the 3 courses, but you have to remember that you pay for all your drinks and service charge is added on top – one of the small prints some people overlook, but luckily I was prepared. Maybe next time I will attempt to make my own Moroccan meal. Now, where can I get my hands on a tagine…?

Just a few doors down from Harrods and surrounded in the heart of Knightsbridge is Mamounia a contemporary and modern Moroccan and Lebanese restaurant. I decided to come here after i did a search for nearby places to eat near the V&A that were listed on my trusty tastecard.

I arrived at a time thats probably not the best to take advantage of the environment that mamounia has to offer. 4pm on a Sunday isn't really peak dining time and the amount of people eating there at the time reflected this.

The decor is warming take on classic moroccan scene but with a modern twist mixed with the now somewhat classic Chic you expect from a Bar while watching made in chelsea. Sadly, the large main area of the restaurant at the back was not in use, so we had to sit in the front area. I imagine that my dining experience would have been further improved if we had sat there and as the decor, lighting and overall atmosphere would have been better. The restaurant also has live music and a belly dancer on Friday and Saturday nights.

I was dining with a friend, so there was only two of us. We decided to go for some of the Mocktails on the Menu, and at £7.50 each they weren't cheap, at this price i had to double check they were really Mocktails as the price suggested they were made with Alcohol. I went for a Virgin Mamounia, Fresh Mint shaken with Lime juice and Sugar
served over crushed ice, whilst my friend opted for a Mamounia Fresh Fruit Cocktail with passion fruit. Verdict.. They were great. I really liked mine, rich flavour and yes it was very sweet, my friends drink was equally as impressive - however i still think it's priced too high.

For starters i went for the Chicken wings, which is a dish i like to use as a measure or benchmark for a restaurant. Im pleased to report the the wings were really good, they were cooked to near perfection, very soft with a balance of chargrilled while remaining juicy. I liked the hint of lemon that they had, it really enhanced the flavours and taste.

For my Main course i went for a Lamb Shank Tagine, Braised Lamb Shank with a Spicy Tomato and Chickpea Sauce. The meat was very tender, fell off the bone and nicely presented. I went for the shank as i am not a fan of sweet fruit and meat together. There was a lot of spices, in terms of raw spice and not heat. After a while i found the meal to have a slight chalky texture and aftertaste. Its hard to write about it, i wasn't disappointed nor was i was blown away. I've had a few Tagines outside of Morocco and i don't think this was the best one, however i still think it was good but lacked depth, i think some potatoes and peas could of helped. This meal comes in at just under £20.

With it not being very busy Service was speedy, warm and attentive. There were around 3 or 4 young waitress on hand if we needed anything. Because of its location, Mamounia is a tad on the expensive side. The main reason I came where was i was getting 50% off the food, the bill came to just over £60 inc service, discount took it it down to £45. I would recommend this place for a date, ladies you might wanna pick this place for a nice girly night out. Would i come back again? Yes, with my tastecard in hand and later in the evening so I can really take advantage of the atmosphere.

Food - 3.5
Service - 3.5

Mams in Knightsbridge is an Arabic cafe that has quickly become a favourite of mine. Located in the heart of the upscale neighbourhood, Mams serves up some of London's most authentic healthy Middle Eastern street food. I recently visited the restaurant and tried a few dishes that I just had to share. First up, the mixed shawarma. This dish is a must-try for any first-timers at Mams. It features a combination of chicken and beef shawarma served with pita bread, salad, and a side of tahini sauce. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the tahini sauce was creamy and flavorful. The portion size was generous, and the dish was definitely filling. Next, we tried lamb shawarma. This dish was equally impressive. The lamb was juicy and tender, and the spices were just right. It was served with the same accompaniments as the mixed shawarma and was equally filling. We also ordered the Manakeesh, an Arabic-style pizza. We opted for the pesto, mozzarella, and sundried tomato flavour, which did not disappoint. The crust was crispy and slightly chewy, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. We also had the Lahmajan. It was a unique twist on a classic pizza and was definitely worth trying. We also enjoyed a bowl with a choice of protein, grain, and vegetables, topped off with a delicious sauce. We chose the grilled chicken as our protein, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We added quinoa as our grain and a variety of fresh vegetables, including cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. The sauce was a delicious blend of tahini, lemon juice, and herbs. We finished off our bowl with Halloumi. The combination of flavours and textures was simply outstanding, and it was a dish that I could eat every day. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Mams. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. If you're in the Knightsbridge area and looking for a taste of authentic Middle Eastern street food, I highly recommend checking out Mams. Thank you Zack for your excellent service and making time for us and sharing some good laughs.

I treated myself with this mouth watering delicious falafel bowl. I recommend that if you’re in the area you must try this place. Friendly staff and amazing selection of both hot and cold food for a really good price!

What a beautiful place to stop over and have delicious food. The food here is amazing quality and served fresh right in front of you. You have a lot of options to choose from so you will definitely find something that tickles your fancy. On top of amazing food, you have super friendly staff that take their time when serving you to answer any questions you may have and to ensure you have an excellent service from start to finish. Amazing interior design, seating both indoors and outdoors. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone in the Knightsbridge area, or to be honest even out of the area. I will happily travel to eat at this beautiful restaurant. Big thanks to Zack who was our host, please spread the word and try this place out for yourself. Oh and the drinks are just amazing, a lot of options, very yummy. Will be going back for some more. 10/10 for Zack!!

Must try! The food was not only insanely delicious but you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Their eggs are especially noteworthy, with bright orange yolks that were just *chefs kiss*. The portions are generous, and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality and quantity you receive. I stumbled upon this gem on uber eats and cannot recommend it enough. For those who love MAMS, I’d also suggest trying out Leon and Farmer J, they also fantastic choices if you want healthy, tasty and well priced food in London.

Came across this unique place earlier today and ordered the manaeeshes, one pesto and mozzarella with sundried tomatoes and a lahmajun, absolutely delicious 😍 the reviews weren’t lying, so fresh and you can tell they were made with love!! Incredible staff, got talking with some and Mohamed was the chef making my manaeeshes, Sarah and Mariayan are super attentive and kind , 100% recommend, next time I’m coming in for the meshui 😋
