This is a lovely relaxed place that I enjoy visiting. Service is excellent and the perfect place for a pancake of any sort. It’s a less pretentious version of other models

I came across Maloko on one of my extended weekend walks when I was on my way home. I was starving, but instead of running into the first pub on the way, I was silently complaining about the food choices in Camberwell.  There was no Ramen. Fair enough. But there was  no cake either. Why was there no cake?? Then I found this little gem. On the menu out front it said galettes, which is not a word I heard before, so I went in to find out. Turns out it’s a vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free creperie. Well … Hello there! I’m not a vegetarian, but I prefer the vegetarian option most times.

if you like a small place, with a relaxed atmosphere and good food this is it. Some customers were on their own with their laptops; others in twos and threes; we were eight, celebrating two Birthdays, and the place worked for all of us. It was open, cheerful, no pressure to move just because you have finished. The food was tasty and filling and the staff relaxed.  Just be yourself, and enjoy.

The decor is minimalist. It's a mishmash of random furniture. The concrete floor was pimped up a bit with pink and yellow dots, the walls decked out with art (apparently from local artists) and the ceiling was covered with coffee bags from Brazil. Jacintha from Urban Pixxels and I got comfy on the sofa in the corner while we studied the menu. The choice was abundant and all sounded delicious. the other thing that stood out on the menu was the price. They all go for about 3 to 5 pounds a pop. I went for a red goat pancake with goat's cheese, beetroot and sweet potatoes. Jacintha has a Mediterranean version with asparagus, tomatoes and cheese. You can order the pancakes in the back kitchen, which is cool because you get a good look at how they are prepared. They're all gluten free and stuffed with fresh ingredients by the way. Maloko is BYO, which again I had failed to spot before going, so I went for a proper freshly squeezed pear and lemon juice. But if you fancy something a bit harder, there is a off-licence right across the street. Even though the food might not be entirely Cameroonian, I loved it and I wholeheartedly give Maloko a big thumbs up.

I’ve been to this place every single month for the last 2 years, and I don’t plan on stopping that any time soon! lovely service by the guys that run the place, and some of the most delicious galettes I’ve ever had. Fresh ingredients every time and everything prepared with care. Plus the decoration is so creative, they even have a little Louvre in the bathroom. Highly recommend their juices as well :)

Cozy restaurant. I like the atmosphere and the great selection of music. The food and drinks are very healthy. I was there on Sunday night and it was not crowded. I had the Maloko Special and a fresh juice (not sure which one because I told the waiter to choose for me), both were delicious. The portion was big so I didn't finish it. The price is also good 8£ crepes and 4£ for juice.

Food was amazing and the staff were really warm and welcoming. Loved the selection juices and gallettes, can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. Really good prices too!

The food was surprisingly great, especially on my first encounter was only with the chef, who took my order, and helped me to decode the menu.i ended taking a recommendation.due to the subdued lighting ,which gave the restaurant a chilaxed environment, unfortunately interrupted by the loud music coming out of the kitchen,Looking on the bright side it made the chef real happy playing music from Niger Alongside the food which I was told is like comparison to a jazz fusion of music, highly influenced by Persian take of a wrap, from experienced resembled the Ethiopian flat bread I had.i found the wrap quite spicy ,but not to the point that it takes your head off...The food could be a tad bit hotter.. I had the freshest/ strongest combination of mint ,and ginger tea,Which I'm quite confident was from their own garden...most fresh ,and powerful... Now for the conclusion would I return back for the avocado combo dish, maybe ...hopefully this time I will be greeted by the waitress at the beginning, and not when I wanted the bill...I found the waitress to be the most bubbly person, but could not ascertain how I slipped through without her noticing me...Maybe I came as the invisable man, or she was too busy chilling with who I found out later to be the owner...who pleasantly thanked me for coming.. Final conclusion the way I noticed the mild traffic of people coming in,felt like a community spirited hang out spot, whereby this place was compassionate enough to allow people to chilax, irrespective of the loud music,it didn't seem to bother the rest of the patrons.I guess their used to it...

This place has a great vibe that starts instantly with the barmaid welcoming us with a friendly smile. The atmosphere is relaxed with a nice background music. The food and the juices are fresh and naturally delicious. It was worth waiting for it, we could tell that the food was made with love.

People of London I urge you to try this amazing restaurant if you want to feel at home and have food made with so much love it gives you butterflies! We had some amazing vegan and vegetarian galettes and crepes for dessert everything was delicious and the owner that cooked for us was so cheerful and accommodating. From the starters/mains/desserts and drinks everything was 1000/100 brilliant and if I could dine there every day I would. Not only was the food delicious, vegan and the atmosphere was amazing but the message they try to achieve being zero waste with second hand furniture and growing their own fruit and vegetable made it the perfect restaurant for me!

First of all, I love the art on the walls. I had the jerk galette. The flavors were perfectly balanced. The outside was nutty. The inside was filled with delicious vegetables and just enough sauce. Beautiful presentation too. The ginger tea was intense, but warming in the cold weather. Kwame, the person serving and preparing the food, was a delight to chat with. I wish I lived in London so I could go back more often!
