This Chinese restaurant is perfect to take away. Prices are really reasonable and portions are generous (you can easily share one dish). Beef with oyster sauce is one of my favorites, sweet and sour pork is good and egg fried rice is always a safe choice.

My sisters office was very closeby and she was the one who discovered this place. And it was totally worth it! The food quality and service was excellent, we would usually prefer takeaways and I sincerely hope the place is still there before my next trip to London.

Best around. It's great, but you have to be a bit careful in the menu. The curries are extremely hot, as is anything with a warning it is spicy.
The wun tun soup is lovely, and best for me is the baked fried chicken with plain rice No 20 -- one of the scrummiest chinese dishes ever.

Not a beautiful place to eat (a basic old fashioned cafe in style) but great food. Popular with Chinese people (that has to be an advertisement) and also the local office workers. A good selection with decent sized portions. Ideal for takeaways.

Stick and Bowl is a tiny restaurant here on High Street Kensington. I wish Zomato had a menu uploaded for them. They are definitely one of the best chinese outlets I have been to. The restaurant is always packed and they get your order in under 10 minutes.

I went to order the Chicken Fried Noodles from here on Friday night as I wasnt in the mood to cook. For just 6.50 I got a enough noodles to take me through dinner and the next day's lunch! The noodles were so delicious, it had shredded chicken, vegetables, etc. They even give you fresh chillies, which is just perfect if you want to make this dish even more spicy than it already is.

I had the mini vegetable spring rolls as starters. For just 1.50 the tiny bite size spring rolls were quite yummy. Their prices are what attracts more customers I guess, you can have a whole meal for under 10 pounds.

Amazing food, great service, I will definitely continue to get take away meals from here.

Go here if you want quick delicious Chinese dishes that is cooked with care and you don’t mind being in tight space and about service. Don’t get me wrong the service is good but don’t expect a nice restaurant hospitality. This is a place where you come to eat something quick but delicious. We got the CRISPY PORK and SESAME CHICKEN and hot and sour soup. Wow!! DELICIOUS!!!

Owner was very kind, he accomodated to my request of less meat with more vegetables. They were also very generous with the ingredients and offered free tea. Place was clean and brightly lit. Thank you for the great hospitality.

One of my favourite eateries in London, especially now with the new and improved interiors that make dining an even delightful experience. I'm happy they already accept card payments since they used to only accept cash. Although some things have changed, the food continues to be delicious and affordable. Must-try: crispy chicken noodles + lychee drink!

This is 1 place that I always visit when ever I visit London. People here are very friendly and they served great Chinese and Asian meals in High Street Kensington. Particularly I love the Roasted Pork with steamed rice.

Good Chinese food here. Lots of options to choose from on the menu. The black bean sauce ho fun was pretty tasty as well as the duck. You order and pay at the counter and the food came pretty quickly. Good prices too. Overall a good spot for a casual bite to eat.

Very friendly multi-lingual staffs! Ordered (1)£11.8 seafood Singapore noodles (星洲炒米),lightly spicy, very nice 👍🏼 it would be better if it's cooked with curry power (2)£11.8 Beef Dry Hofun(乾炒牛河), it tastes good but a rather strong soy sauce flavour (3)£8.5 Beef Onion Stir fry in Soy sauce 醬爆牛肉 + £3.5 rice 白飯, friend said it's so-so, texture of the beef isn't very good. Table setting is a bit of a Japanese fast food restaurant, good to serve. A good choice for early dinner before a show in Royal Albert Hall, as restaurants in South Kensington are usually pricey. In terms of Hong Kong style, it is worth trying, 最少有鑊氣

A few people over the years have told me about this place and yesterday I got decided to eat here and I have to say, I was very impressed! The menu is large but not overwhelming and choosing is stressful because I wanted to try lots of different dishes. In the end we went for the pork dumplings and the won ton soup to start! Spicy duck and onion, plain rice noodles, pork rib rice and crispy chicken. This meal was delicious, it came in a timely manner, the service was attentive and helpful and the price for it all was fair! After all its build up I have to say that Stick and Bowl exceeding my expectations! Will return for sure!

Ordered a roasted duck and seafood house fire rice. It was really good :). For the price, you have a lot in the plate, be aware ! You can either take away or eat in. Food may take a bit of time to come but staff makes sure you have been taking care of ! Highly recommend it !

Journeying Through Timeless Chinese Cuisine at Stick and Bowl There’s something truly special about Stick and Bowl, a Chinese restaurant that, much like its name suggests, keeps it simple, yet sublime. The design is minimalistic; long, communal tables and stools offer a nod to traditional Chinese eateries. But don’t let the unassuming interior fool you - the culinary journey that awaits within is anything but ordinary. The 80s were my introduction to the culinary magic of Stick and Bowl, and I am delighted to say that the food has remained as vibrant and captivating as ever. This is the quintessential Chinese cuisine at its finest, unembellished and unapologetically authentic. Each dish is a vibrant symphony of flavours. Imagine the rich, luscious notes of a carefully stewed broth, the succulent sweetness of perfectly roasted meats, the earthy embrace of the freshest vegetables, and the symphony of spices and sauces that dance on your tongue. It’s like an enchanting melody that resounds with the echoes of traditional Chinese cuisine, resonating with every sense and transporting you to a bustling food market in the heart of China. The dishes here are not just recipes; they’re history lessons, lovingly preserved and prepared by a dedicated family team. You’re not just a customer at Stick and Bowl; you’re part of their story, a guest at their table, a companion in their culinary journey. The familial warmth and hospitality are as rich and comforting as the dishes served. The staff’s passion for their craft shines through their service, making every visit feel like a homecoming. Stick and Bowl is more than a restaurant. It’s a testament to the enduring charm of authentic Chinese cuisine, an enduring symbol of simplicity and flavour. This is an establishment that was a beacon of culinary excellence in the 80s and remains equally impressive today. For anyone seeking a taste of traditional Chinese cuisine that engages, excites and enchants, Stick and Bowl is an unmissable culinary gem.

Visited a year ago before attending the Royal Albert Hall and enjoyed it we came back to the same place again this yesterday. Had the Crispy Duck shared between two which was ample for us. Service was good humoured, friendly and polite. Will be back again next time we are in London.
