We have been eating at the Pimlico Spice (and it's previous name, The Akbar) for the best part of ten years, and the best part of Friday night is curry night!Excellent choices outside of the usual, standard curries (which are also tasty) which the team are always refining and improving.Silla Silla chicken and (Lamb) Gosht Hara is our regular choice, but it's always a pleasure to try something new.
Another great take away. Lovely naan, popadoms and Silla Silla chicken! Really tasty! Would recommend especially on 10% pickup discount!
I tried nan and it was great
Had to wait a little bit long till i get asked for the bill
But the food was amazing
I had the chicken korma and rice, it was as nice as always. The chicken is well cooked and the korma is nice and creamy. This is my go to Indian restaurant in Pimlico
Our first meal in the UK could not have been better! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was perfectly cooked with every flavor being distinctly it's own. We could not recommend this cozy restaurant enough. We'll definitely visit again before our vacation is over.
The order was for my dad, the guy said upto 40mins for delivery, it took almost an hour and a half which was disappointing and the food was pretty cold. My dad wasnt impressed sadly. To their credit the gentleman in the phone was polite and courteous taking the order.
Very good food. Came with a group from work and wasn't disappointed. The final bill was on the expensive side for Indian food but I think it was because they kept bringing rice & sides I wasn't fully sure we had ordered and there were some of them completely untouched. Also it was freezing inside, not sure if this was a temporary problem though. Definitely good food though and I think it's the best one in the area.
We were a bit hesitant because of bad reviews, but we definitely do not regret visiting.
Staff were very attentive and the food was delicious.
Restaurant has very nice, even romantic ambient. It surely doesn't look that way from the outside!
They should get rid of the "open" LED sign. :)
Can’t fault the service. I stupidly opted for collection but after speaking with Monaf about it over the phone, he added on some onion bhajiis and prepped the food I’d ordered via Just Eat and arranged for his own delivery driver to drop off my food. Great service throughout, absolutely. The Korma was a little too sweet for me and the bhajjis weren’t crispy but would order again for sure. Thank you! Anna-Louise
We were not sure what to expect as when we arrived it was very quiet... However we were very pleasantly surprised/astonished! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the flavours distinctive and wonderfully spiced. The staff were helpful and proud of their cuisine. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
We ate here while on vacation. We have very little experience with Indian food and our waiter spent a long time asking each of us what kind of things we preferred (spicy, creamy, lamb, chicken, etc), and made suggestions. Each of us loved our meals, including the Naan! We HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!
I think this is one of the best kept secrets in the Victoria area. The food is one of the very best examples of typical British Indian. I have been to the restaurant which is very pleasant and clean with superb white table cloth service. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and diligent. It's also very reasonably priced. We basically ordered everything on the menu for four people and couldn't finish it all. Our total bill even with cocktails and beers was £80. More often my husband and I order this as delivery through Just Eat. It travels well too. I think that Pimlico Spice is better spiced and more flavoursome than similarly priced alternatives. Their lamb biryani and tikka masala are to die for. We also ordered a dish that had bits of naan cooked into a creamy sauce that was amazing recently.
Amazing, fresh Indian food. The stuff is super nice and helpful. With their recommendation, I
ordered the chicken tikka buhna which was delicious. Also tried the cheese Nan and veg/meat samosas and all was great quality and taste. What a treat!!
Sleek setting, neighborhood-style friendly service, and a variety of dishes that aren't at every Indian restaurant.
We had the honey chicken korma and Anaroshi Chicken, neither of which we had before, and both were great!
You can find traditional and creative Indian and Bangladeshi food here. Food quality is outstanding and service is to a high standard. Be careful with spice levels, hot means real hot here without any adjustments.
This place is a real gem. I've already visited most of the Indian restaurants in the central part of London, and with a clear conscience, I'd say that this is the best one. The quality of the food they offer is extremely good and the prices are pretty decent. Don't forget to try the Garlic Chilli Chicken - it's amazing.
