I had set my mind on a affordable, quick, but healthy, bite to eat, before work today, so when I left Embankment station I started searching for a place to spend my next 45min.
Being a huge fan of Italian cuisine, my eyes wondered to L'ulivo straight away and I decided to walk in.
Cosy place, super friendly staff (huber, actually), and an awesome spaghetti bolognese (my choice for tonight). Couldn't have asked for more. Oh but I will, as I have set my mind on going back there!
A decent Italian restaurant in one of the busiest places in London. Food served was quite good, however they may improve the speed of service considering customers may not have all day during quick weekday lunches.
We have various different kinds of Pizzas all of which were quite good. We liked the crusts and quality of food. One of the guys had a risotto which was quite nice. They have a wide selection of wines and beer which add to the appeal.
As a whole, a decent recommendation for a quick mid week business lunch.
I was looking for an independent restaurant and, as I used to work nearby, I knew Villiers Street would be a good place to start. Visitors to London need to head here (a few hundred metres/yards from Embankment/ Charing Cross). Food and service were good and the facilities were well maintained. Highly recommended.
There was a 12.5% discretionary service charge applied to the bill but I was happy to pay this as the food/service warranted it
