What a great dinner meal we spent at this great Chinese place!
We ordered so many things, from spring rolls, shrimps, eggplant, etc... For the main it was the sweet and sour chicken, noodles, lemon chicken and breaded chicken! Overall very good experience! Fast service and friendly staff!!

Wonderful place. Typical chinese restaurant. Fried seaweed, grilled dumpling were great choices. Crispy duck was marvellous. Have to make reservation in advance. Reserve for turning table.
Many peoples conception of Chinese food is always based on their local around the corner either they will braging about it and saying to their friends when ordering from their Chinese takeaway yours was okay but it wasn't as good as mine.....or they will be ready to try or give up on their local due to greasy and unhealthy results of their many attempts to get a nice takeaway.
However Ken Lo's is not your local takeaway, in fact even in the full name it's 'Ken Lo's memories of China'.
In the heart of Belgravia close to Victoria station it had to be tried.
The welcoming was slow and tiresome but when the waiters came they were pleasant and patient with the taking of our orders as you won't see many of your local and the dishes you usually order at your local.
The tiresome service was most likely due to their fancy and fussy upmarket clientel who desire everything to be perfect!
But the interior was everything you expect from a up market Chinese restaurant with classic design as well as modern extras of sliding doors for private rooms.
The food came at a nice rate we ordered many starters and mains but the stars of the show were squid in black bean sauce which was not overpowering and just the right amount of sauce,iron-plate sizzled mixed seafood....Scallops were cooked to perfection.
The Cantonese sweet and sour pork deserves a mention too, the overall service and experience was a delightful one I will certainly return.
If you want freshly made Chinese food....look no further

West Meets East. Chinese cuisine is as robust and refined as French cuisine, but people rarely get to experience fine Chinese food, being more accustomed to Chinese takeaways. It's nice, then, to go to a restaurant that presents Chinese food in a fine dining environment. It's not quite a perfect fit, however, and one wonders if the well-heeled clientele know they could get equally good food for much cheaper in Chinatown.
Traditional Chinese family-style service is abandoned in the individual orders of soup. A shame, too, because I could have had an entire tureen of the pepper-pot fish soup, a delicious, fresh fish broth punched up with scallions, cilantro and slices of ja choy (pickled vegetable). The rest of the dishes are served family-style, each well-cooked, particularly a dish of prawn-stuffed shitake mushrooms and a plate of fried noodles made fresh.
The fit of Western and Eastern dining traditions shows wear in a clay pot of mixed vegetables and fried tofu. This is about as basic a dish as you can find in Chinese cuisine, and while the vegetables are fresh, the fried tofu is sliced thinly resulting in a dry, chewy texture instead of the soft, giant wedges of tofu you'll get elsewhere.
Also of note, Memories of China replaces jasmine rice with short grain rice served from a bamboo steamer. It's a simple variation, but the kind of flourish that the restaurant should do more of.
The place is what you would expect- a typical old school Chinese hang out right next to Victoria station and behind the now famous Google office!
I have been here numerous times and they do roast duck pretty and chilli beef well. That's a staple if you happen to be in there.
Now I have been very generous with the rating as apart from the good food- rest everything is below average - again with respect to the prices they charge. They are priced I would say 3.5/5 and they do not deliver at that level on service/ambience or variety. The menu has been the same in the past 18 months and no change at all. The bar is the most down trodden part of the place- and an old guy manages it. He has trouble understanding the difference between diet coke and Coke Zero (they do not stock it so don't ask-spare him the embarrassment). I mean nothing personal but when you are managing a pretty posh location bar you ought to know a few things. Never mind.
But I would say the food kind of over rules the other "not so shiny" bits- duck is amazing and so is the beef. The Cashew Chicken you could skip and they are not big at Szechaun hence I miss the spicyness!
Overall if you want an above average food ONLY at decent price-go for it. But if you are looking for something adventurous or spicy or you want decent drinks- Give it a miss please.

šNotes: This restaurant has been my go to for the last 5 years, and Iām happy to say that the quality has never dropped. My personal favorite is the pancake duck as well as the crispy shredded beef.
PS. I donāt recommend sitting in the private area as the service is a bit slow in that section.
Great place. Went for my birthday, ordered the Tour of China (Set for 2) and it was delicious. The set menu item was full of nice starters, crispy duck, and main menu items that finish off with a nice sorbet dessert.
The portions were small but there were so many dishes that we left the restaurant with a completely full belly and even had leftovers to take back!
Very pricey, but the service (waiter service and reception service) and food quality make up for it!
Excellent Chinese restaurant! The place and staff are very welcoming. The atmosphere is authentic and relaxing, as a good gastronomical place needs to be. As you can see in my pictures, the food was amazing, very fresh and tasty. I very much recommend this place!
A classic, if not the best Chinese restaurant in London, has been closed after decades of impeccable food and service
We hope it opens again under same stewardship and many of its staff that gave meaning to reliable, well served and always delicious food!
Good place to have a dinner for big group in the centre. Very flexible and helpful stuff. They have several set menu and good selection of drinks so its easy to organise a big party. Highly recomended.
Ken Lo's is a fine restaurant but unfortunately it is now closed. Signage suggests that the Grosvenor Estate has forfeited the lease and taken the premises back.
Fab meal, great food - all my favorite dishes in a beautiful setting. We will be back!!
Very nice place, delicious food and very helpful stuff. We really enjoyed a lot, recommend!
Customer service was amazing. The waiter serving us was friendly and made us all feel comfortable... He deserves a clap on the back... Thank you
Amazing.
Everything we had was really good and tasty.
The stuff can give advice properly, and the menu is really variegated.
The dish presented in well looking way and in an adequate portion.
Amazing experience of fine dining and of Asian cuisine.
It's totally recommended.
Out food and service was fantastic and we had great time but decor is very tired...has not been changed last 10 years. (I use to go there a lot years ago) Be prepared to pay about Ā£60 per head. Would I go there again....yes but would not rush
It is easy to park outside in the evening.
Iāve been here in August with some friends from Italy and Iāve been in love with the restaurant and the food! Iāve never eat chinese food in this way before, it was soo good and so tasty! Next time Iāll go to London I will definitely eat here again!
The crispy duck was the best of my life. The staff was amazing, everyone was very nice with us. They also explained us the history of the restaurant and the guest they had (Princess Margaret too!).
Big congratulations for everyone who keep this restaurant this way! Thank you so much!
Every single thing we ate was good.
The spare ribs, dumplings, crispy beef, and Singapore noodles stand out. And get the stem ginger ice cream for pudding!
We found this place 10 minutes before we turned up as a table of 7 and they were so friendly and welcoming.
Couldn't fault the place.
The experience from entering the building, support with our orders, the taste of food and drink and the overall ambience was exceptional.
It was my birthday and they even brought me out ice cream and sang happy birthday.
I have lived in London for a long time and struggled to find a great Chinese restaurant and I am glad I have found one now.
