Friendly. You can get your meals customised. Tuesdays are Steak days. A nice place to have team lunch or dinner. You can even enjoy the live match while you drink. Very spacious and since it was summer, the seats near the door were quite airy. Overall loved the place. One should visit.

On the go kind of place, great atmosphere and value for money.

I usually go there after University for a few drinks and a quick bite.
It has great seating arrangement to accommodate large groups.

the service is quick and the food serve is really good.

Make sure to pop in at cross keys if you’re around monument or bank station.

It's a Wetherspoon's where you should always have a good look underfoot.  Apparently all of their mostly garish carpets are especially designed for each pub, with no two carpets the same.  The Crosse Keys has a rather restrained vaguely heraldic carpet.  Navy background with gold pairs of the crossed keys encircled in the same gold colour.

It is a beautiful space with soaring marble columns and grand arches.  Previously a bank.  Nice restrained atmosphere with no music.

Really nice bar staff.  My companion usually drinks lagers but wanted to forage into some more authentically British beers.  Our bartender let him taste three different bitters before deciding on one.

Being a Wetherspoon's I wasn't expecting much by way of food but was pleasantly surprised.  It took a while to order, what with our chatty barmaid who struggled to get the till to work, and my companion's bitters taste test.  Food did arrive swiftly.

My deep fried chicken tenders were juicy, crisp and not greasy tasting.  Wasn't crazy about the mayo based sauce it came with but it was easy enough to make some Texan red sauce (hot chilli sauce sweetened with ketchup) with the available table condiments.  The quinoa side salad was surprisingly good.  Only lightly dressed so clean tasting.  A tiny bit sweet.  Really nice mix of tender greens with crunchy quinoa and al dente adzuke beans.  The mix of textures was well thought through.

My companion's bowl of chips was a generous portion of good thick chips.  Not double fried, but done at a high enough temperature to be crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.

Our lunch including a pint of bottled pear cider and a pint of bitter came to £17.50.

It's big, it's beautiful, it's wetherspoons, but don't let that put you off. This city pub is full of suits but it ticks so many boxes, as a normal punter you can still enjoy. Cheap booze, but decent. Good selection of beers, whilst busy it's always easy to find a seat. Value for money food. No its not Michelin star quality but it will do. Plus you are surrounded by a big a lot of history. It was a coach house amongst other things, but is also a former bank which is fitting considering its city location. High ceilings, original features, marbled columns, make this a drinking spot with a difference. Worth it for immense pleasure you will feel taking in the view.

I finally made it to the Crosse Keys Tony Marsden. I spent the day walking in the empty City trying out my new camera and decided to go for a Sunday Roast at what was missing in my elegant and out of the usual list of weatherspoon's pubs. The venue is gorgeous, obviously retaining in the architecture the glories of its past, the staff is among the more friendly and helpful I've seen so far in this chain, but the food have been half of a disappointment. I went with the beef option and while the vegetables, sausages, mash and Yorkshire puddings were delicious, the meat had the consistency of cardboard that not even the gravy could safe. The quality of everything else makes me hope for better turn outs in the future choosing different dishes, as it would be a shame for this branch to fail on that.

Great place went there for a Sunday brunch with the kids and some friends. I usually don't expect much from a weatherspoon but I was surprised in a good way. Friendly staff , they were welcoming and got us highchairs for the children. The place wasn't overly busy but I can imagine it's packed during the week.

We ordered 2 kids Sunday roast it came with chicken, peas, roast potatoes, carrots and gravy. Plus a drink and fruit bowl. The portions were pretty decent

We also ordered the Sunday roast for adults it constited of half a chicken, Yorkshire pudding, sausage and bacon, mash, gravy and peas along with a drink. but you had the choice in between turkey, beef or chicken

Our friends had fish and chips and the portion was very generous as well along with the Belgian waffle and ice cream which I didn't have a chance to try as the little one had their fruit bowl, half our eton mess and most of the waffle and ice cream lol so it must have been nice. The Eton mess which was average not enough cream too much ice cream. Overall good experience and I would definitely return as it was value for money, friendly staff and child friendly
It very reasonable in terms of pricing two children meals with drink and 2 adult meals with drink + 1 eaton mess was 30GBP

Absolutely loved this weatherspoons!! They sold Laphroaig and at a great price..the building was very clean and very impressive. The staff were as always very helpful and cheerful. The food as always was really good and prices not that more expensive than Manchester. Id be back again. They had a huge TV screen too.

A cool Wetherspoons, one of the most interesting ones I’ve been to! Staff were attentive, however it took us 30 minutes to order food as most of the menu was sold out due to an issue with delivery! Managed to get 2 burgers, which were cooked well!

Cool pub and decent for a Wetherspoon's. Decent food, decent drinks. Loved the breakfasts. Really handy right next to our hotel, they let us in via the hotel. It used to be an old bank so the place is really nice inside. Nice staff, quick service. Can't complain! Would defo go back

Not your typical spoons. Plenty of seating with no drunk people and clean carpets. Probably the best spoons i have been to. It used to be a bank and the high ceilings are incredible

🚇Monument 🍺 £4.89 Carlsberg ❤️ A magnificent City Wetherspoons pub. . The Crosse Keys is located in the heart of The City of London just opposite glorious Leadenhall Market. The nearest tube is Monument, Bank station is also close by. . This grand Wetherspoon’s pub opened in June 1999 in a former Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank. Designed by W Campbell Jones, this Grade II-listed building opened in 1913 and featured the largest banking floor in the City at the time. This pub takes its name from The original Crosse Keys pub that stood on this site, the pub was destroyed in 1666 in the great fire of London then rebuilt and burned down again in 1734. . The interior of this pub is as grand a place that you’ll ever drink a pint in. Wetherspoons retained much of the original opulent interior, including marble pillars and fireplaces and a magnificent glass dome above the stairwell. Other standout features are the light fixtures and the beautiful curved servery at the far end of the bar. . Like the pub, the beer choice here is vast. There are multiple cask ales, a few craft beers and a host of familiar favourites. I took it easy and ordered a Carlsberg, my pint was well kept and cost just under a fiver. There is the usual extensive food menu available, Fish & Chips costs £10.60. . I arrived at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and the pub was absolutely packed. I was lucky enough to find a seat near the entrance to take stock of this behemoth of a boozer. There are no TV’s or soundtrack, so all you could hear was a wall of sound of conversations that carried across this impressive setting. . You can say what you want about Wetherspoons pubs but the do create some wonderful boozers in stunning locations. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 08.04.23

Lots of chairs available on a Saturday around 8pm. Our drinks were ordered on the app and wasn’t a long wait. They had lots different cocktails compared to last time I visited. Toilets are downstairs.

I have been put off of Weatherspoons since their highly disappointing advocacy of Brexit, which in itself has reduced opportunities for young people and caused massive problems for businesses and in particular the hospitality sector - not the they will ever admit it. However, for The Crosse Keys, I am prepared to make an exception. It offers probably the best value breakfast in The City, where you can dine in a pleasant environment and catch up on some early morning work on the laptop without feeling pressured. I have invariably found the staff to be courteous, diligent, and welcoming. This venue is well with a visit for the setting alone, but unfortunately, unlike their food, Brexit still sticks in my throat.

Very enjoyable lunch at the crosse keys. Weatherspoons continues to offer great value for money. A meal and a soft drink for around £10. Surprisingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon and plenty of tables available.

Another Wetherspoon series…. Spacious environment pub in an old bank, very quiet in the morning so good for having breakfast, coffee ( I guess it would be crowded when people off work and come here for happy hour ). They have Many choices on the menu and quite value for money. Coffee can refill as you need. User friendly apps to place your order.

Gets busy at lunchtime. Great value for lunch with a pint. Doombar was good. Probably one of the lowest prices in the city. Staff are quick to serve and pleasant.

The restaurant is very fancy and it doesn’t look like a normal Wetherspoon: decorations on walls and big windows. The food is the traditional Wetherspoon food. The service is quick and polite

Stunning building. Lovely high ceilings. Ornate decorative features and central bar looked beautiful. Felt clean. The Katsu curry was very yummy. It could do with a little bit more spice however this is meant for… well British individuals. There should perhaps be two options for the curry sauce - a spicy and mild. However, unfortunately the service was a tad bit slower than expected. It might be because it was busy, but we were visiting on Tuesday night. So perhaps more staff needed. Otherwise, I’d recommend if in London and want a drink somewhere cool.

Fabulous venue, I'm not sure of the history but this felt like drinking in a very large and ancient bank.
