Nice small Resturant that serves quality Persian food. Service you as nice. Good menu options. But it was very warm inside the Resturant because the bread making furnace was close to the seating area.
Nice Persian Restaurant on the Chiswick High Road area. Staff is very friendly. Falafels are tasty and authentic. Naan bread is also pretty good.
Fresh and tasty. The salads and starters were light and full of flavour. Hot fresh bread made infront of us in the large oven in the restaurant. The chicken kebabs were beautifully marinated and served with a large salad and rice. The restaurant was very busy and the staff very friendly. We will definitely be going back.
There are a surprising number of Persian restaurants and shops in Olympia, Hammersmith and Chiswick. I'm not sure why there are so many here - does any one know? I'm not one to complain, of course; I adore Persian food and love that it's all here on my (West London) doorstep. I was a-hankering for some and so last Saturday, Blai and I went out for a date night and while we were turned away from our first choice as it was packed, we managed to find one free table at another equally packed Persian restaurant just across the street from the first. This restaurant was Faanoos; their first restaurant is in Richmond and this Chiswick branch is their second. We started with their Mixed Mezeh for 2 (£7.95) and it was a good introduction to what I suppose must be their most popular dips. Going clockwise from the top there's: Mast o Moosir (yogurt with wild garlic), which was gloriously garlicky and zingy Pickles - I spotted cauliflower, cabbage, carrots in the mix; they were quite strong Salad
Oh well, this is one of the best Persian restaurants i have been in London. I go there couple of times every month as it is very close to my work. The restaurant decor is nothing fancy but the food is amazing. I always order bread to start with along with mezze. The bread is freshly made right in front you and its the best thin, crispy flat bread. Since i am a vegetarian, i have just few options and i have tried them all :-) The staff is friendly and customize it for vegetarians...i really enjoyed Okra I had the other day and they did not add lamb to suit my dietary need and it was fantastic. My colleagues who dine with me regularly have tried many other lamb kebab with saffron rice and have always liked it. The portions are generous and definitely filling. I will keep going back to this little restaurant on Chiswick High road.
i rarely award 5 stars to a food establishment - if i didn't in this case, i would be a liar. portion sizes were ideal and very VERY reasonable prices (personally, i was shocked to find this in london). enjoyed mast o khiyar and a 1 person mixed grill (joojeh+koobideh) and oh my goodness THE RICE?? delicious. the fresh bread was superb; the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with a bread tandoor's smell permeating the air. so scrum. the vibes were immaculate, i imagine tehran to feel like this. already thinking of who i'm bringing with me next time!!
Nestled in the heart of Chiswick, Faanoos is a hidden gem that promises a remarkable dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you are transported into a world of elegance and opulence. The restaurant's captivating decor, reminiscent of Persian heritage, sets the stage for a truly memorable evening.
The menu is a culinary journey through Iran's rich flavors and aromatic spices, showcasing the authenticity of Persian cuisine. Each dish is carefully crafted with attention to detail, leaving no room for disappointment.
One of the standout dishes I sampled was the succulent and tender lamb kebab. The meat was beautifully marinated and perfectly grilled to retain its juiciness. The accompanying saffron-infused rice, fluffy and fragrant, was a perfect complement. Every bite was a harmonious blend of flavors that left me craving more.
The variety of vegetarian options at Faanoos is also commendable. The sabzi khordan, a platter of fresh herbs, radishes, and Persian cheese, was a refreshing and vibrant starter.
The service at Faanoos is impeccable. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of your dining experience is met with care and precision.
They are happy to guide you through the menu and provide recommendations based on your preferences.
The ambience of the restaurant is an ode to Persian culture. From the intricate tapestries adorning the walls to the warm lighting that creates an intimate atmosphere, every detail has been carefully curated to transport you to Iran itself.
My go to restaurant during the week or weekends… very convenient for Chiswick Business Park employees and people lives in Chiswick and Brentford… never disappointed me
Food is delicious and stuff are very nice 👍
Only one concern I have is their bathroom needs to be renovated and improved… I wish they do it soon 🤝
Perfect location in Chiswick. Great Persian food. Staff make you feel at home. The interior is amazing and brings so much culture. Love the tandoori grill just right when you come in.
Great value for money. Highly recommend.
Delicious food, friendly service and great venue!! Turned up here without a reservation with our 3 year old child, they gave us a previously reserved table, we’re very attentive and the food that came out was incredible! Full of flavour and a generous portion that left me feeling satisfied when I left! Can’t wait to go back next time we are in town and order something else off the menu!
Been coming to Faanoos with my family for years, it's hands down our favourite intimate dinner spot with the best Persian food we've ever had. The staff is lovely, food portions are generous and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Highly recommend their chullu kebab and the okra curry dish. Ask for pomegranate currents to add to your rice or bread for a burst of flavour!
Good vibes & good food & good service. First time trying Persian food and it was SO good. Very healthy, mildly spiced(I assume more local interpretation) and fresh. Recommend their lamb fillet and Doogh!
Absolutely lovely place with delicious food and great service. Freshly baked bread with all those delicious starters, heaven for me. We tried lots of different dishes and every single one was amazing including service. The restaurant is quite small so can be very busy.
I have been to Faanoos a couple of times and always leave satisfied. The warm air that hits you as you walk in the door past the tandoor style oven puts a great big smile on my face.
Being extra hungry today, I had the mixed grill kebab sandwich with chips and hummus. Meat was cooked really well, hummus was lovely and rounded off with the tandoor style bread which sits as the large edible bowl to work with.
Great for a lunch time quick meal or a lounging dinner.
Ate here last week while visiting the area. I was recommended this place and I can see why. The food was very good and at a great price. Service was also good. Wish this restaurant was local to me!! If you're in the area, give them a go!
We enjoy the food here, they make their own bread as well. If you buy fresh pressed carrots juice the give you a very large glass. Decent size portions too and price was very reasonable for food of this quality.
Place was clean friendly and service was quick. Can get a bit busy at 12:45.
Also the place is quite close to Chiswick business Park just 10 minutes walk down a nice alley.
When you enter you smell the baked bread that they bake next to the door. Finally the place is decorated to a very high authentic standard.
This is a lovely place for lunch in Chiswick! We went here from the business park for a quick lunch. After ordering we were served really quickly and the food was delicious. The bread freshly made in the oven and is really soft and fluffy. The kebabs were moist and tasty. I will come back with more colleagues for sure!
Delicious Iranian food at a really good price. After three courses we were both completely stuffed. Would recommend the meat sharing platter for two - the portions are huge. Love how they make their bread fresh in the oven in the middle of the restaurant; it really heats the place up on a cold autumn day. Service was excellent. One of my favourite restaurants in Chiswick.
I had some wraps/sandwiches ordered for my wedding from Fanoos last night. There was not a single guest who was not impressed with the quality of the food. I would like to give my special thanks to the chef, Jafar and Farhad with organising it for us.
Absolutely amazing place. Great food served with a doze of politeness and smile. Live music remains a fantastic experience!
This is an amazing restaurant and tastes great. I have visited this place several times and never felt that the taste has dropped in any sence. Customer service is great too you will always feel welcomed. The food presentation is super as well.
First time here! Food was on point. Really generous size portions, fresh food and tasted delicious.
Love this place. The food is amazing. 3rd visit. I'm in Sunbury but would be happy to order and pick, its soo good. X
