A gem of a place in the middle of mayhem which is Piccadilly. Lovely staff and food and cocktail were excellent too. Good value for money especially in central London

It's our favourite place for a drink after church (St James's, Piccadilly) on a Sunday. The staff are most friendly and attentive. We had a great drinks party there to celebrate a retirement last summer. Very reasonable price for such a special venue.

The cocktails, the cocktails here are smashing. Forget the underwhelming view or uninteresting food. Get a martini here - mixed at your table in a piece of mixological theatre - and the rest slips away.

The 5th View @ Waterstones in Piccadilly is a real find, an oasis in the heart of the West End. It has however now “been found” by a lot of people, and has grown to handle its success.

Great place to spend time after shopping through 4 floors of books (yes, real paper books). Decided to go wild with crazy mix of cappuccino, soup and beer and relaxed with a view on Westminster Abbey and London Eye. Plenty of sockets around to charge iphone :)

5th View Bar & Food is a standout for a cafe/restaurant.
Surprisingly it is also located in a book store. It does really good inexpensive cocktails (£7.50 average price). We spent a couple of hours there relaxing over cocktails, sharing a meze plate and finishing with coffee and cakes (the carrot cake has to be one of the best I have had - sweet, light and moist).

The menu choice is limited, but what they do provide is simple, good quality, nicely presented food.

There are two dinning areas, one of which has a lovely view over the roof tops.

On the 5th floor of a bookshop, what's not to like. There are couches and chairs throughout the store which were well used by potential clientele. Plenty of room in the bar/cafe when we got there at 1445hrs and we chose to be seated at the windows. Service was prompt, but not everything was on the printed menu, niether the carrot cake nor apple and cinnamon pie were there. Nice atmosphere, quiet, only two kids with maw and paw next to us and they were well behaved. 10% service charged added to the bill, when I asked if there was a tips jar the staff didn't seem to know what I was on about- maybe just my provincial West of Scotland burr.

Super fun bar at the top of the bookstore. 2 for 1 cocktails. Brilliant service and great drinks. Not to be missed. A real gem.

Excellent view of the city from the vantage point from the top floor of Waterstones at Piccadilly. Latte was smooth but not generous. Service was too attentive and constantly disruptive of conversation. As it gets busy, a queue builds. In the end for peace of mind, we adjourned to Chinatown to continue over dinner.

Welcoming & friendly service. Great spot to get away from hustle and bustle of the city and unwind with a drink and/or a bite to eat in a tranquil surrounding with beautiful skyline views. Love their fresh mint tea & veggie panini. Wish they had more vegan options on the menu.

Decent food and very nice staff. Was tasty and quick with the order. Very cozy with different spots and genuinely everyone doing their own thing. A great place for a quick bite and to read a book you just bought from Waterstones. One the places I have been going to for years.

We were intrigued by the 2-4-1 sign outside of the Waterstone store and went up to try it out. It’s pretty nice, we tried the passion fruit elderflower Collins, the Kir Royale, the Strawberry summer spritz and the Stormy Mojito. The drinks were good. The service was nice, interiors were cool and not too crowded. And the 2-4-1 makes it very attractive. You will have a nice time.

I cannot praise the staff enough for a great service especially Muhammed. They can defo improve on the sandwiches, but I loved my fish and chips meal. 5th View is cozy and not to forget a great view. Great place to grab lunch after shopping.
