Located not too far from Liverpool Street station, the Astronomer offers a quirky and fun space. You may spot a date there, a gathering of friends, a gaggle of gossipers, some work colleagues letting their hair down. The food menu is varied with the usual staples you'll look for on a pub grub menu. Same with drinks. Prices are decent too. Nothing too much. Service is quick throughout the evening too. A good place to return to in future!

Though it was getting full, the staff managed to find space for 5 of us. What attracted us was the tag, "Pie and Ale" and wanted to try some pies. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal selection, though there were quite a few unavailable items on the Sunday that we visited. The haggis scotch egg with tomato chutney was moist and flavourful. We also enjoyed the bacon and brie toasted sandwich, spiced duck pie with cauliflower cheese, roast beef with yorkshire pudding and the cornish pastry. The staff were efficient dealing with the Sunday crowd.

The ambience and the decor is great matching to the pub name "Astronomer". Service is spot on, friendly and quick.

Perhaps one of the best pubs around London Liverpool Street Station. Lots of character, great atmosphere, amazing in the summer as crowds gather outside which gives the pub kind of a Festival feeling. It's food is not bad for 'Pub Food' if you know what I mean. Give it a try. It will not disappoint.

A busy pub with great ale choices and cocktails. The food is good, Sunday roast to be on point. Good place to chill around, friendly staff. Highly recommended

We could reserve some tables, which was great. Nice crowd, you can drink outside on a big paved area or inside which is pretty big and quirky. Good range of Ales etc no idea what the food is like

Tried a Scottish egg for the first time and it didn't disappoint. The bar is very cool lots of seating and a nice kind of courtyard out front to enjoy a pint outside.

Pie and a pint for £18, what a bargain and how delicious too. This is my spot now pre game for the mighty Spurs 💙

Unusual pub - set in an astronomy theme -can sit both outside and inside. Wide variety of beers, whiskies, and other drinks. You place your order at the bar, get your drinks, and then sit. We didn't have the chance to try any pies because the place was overly crowded with people standing in the street with drinks. Extremely popular.

A good pub on the doorstep of Liverpool Street. I didn't eat, but the menu looks great. The only drawbacks are the London prices.
