We had a lovely supper there. The venue is quite cosy, staff is friendly, even the manager welcomed us when we made our way in. The wine we ordered was delicious, although it was the second cheapest in the menu.
Good food and interesting wine
Went for lunch with my friend. It has been recommended but another friend of mine who went there and remained totally satisfied.
Nice lunch, we chose three courses with matching 3 wines advised by the restaurant. We paid £30 each.
They suggested wines to go with the food we order were absolutely outstanding. They were interesting and some varieties I had never tried. All dishes are Italian and tasty.
Food was also very good with varied menu choices and generous servers. The place is really nice but tiny so you may risk finding it really busy.
I recommend a try
If you are having a nice walk around Notting Hill area, you will certainly notice Negozio Classica from its distinctive elegance and lovely location.
The “Negozio” can be defined in Italian as an Enoteca of wines selected from Tuscany and other Italian areas. The place is very professional and the owner very well selects the list of wines. The atmosphere is relaxing thanks to the low lights environment and, especially at night is a chic place where to bring a couple of friends or a date.
In terms of prices, the average cost for two is 25£ which are definitely worth the experience! Indeed, by being there for a couple of hours you do not feel in London anymore, but on vacation.
In 2 words... QUIET and SUBLIME
Great spot for wine, al fresco even in autumn as they have heaters and the food is fresh and simple Italian. The steak is remarkably good and ideal to share (tagliata style). Very good selection of wines that change often. Can always have a taster before you commit.
Excellent wine. There are choices with no added sulphur. The olives and cheese are also excellent. Best is the experience. The team is kind and friendly.
This wine bar has fantastic atmosphere, and wonderful wines to boot. Yes, it is not the cheapest, but the wines are of a certain quality. The food is also excellent. I could not recommend this place highly enough for a relaxing glass of wine. The service is exceptionally friendly.
Our second time here. Good small Italian wine bar with a small but well curated selection of Italian wines by the glass and bottles to take home and also tapas style dishes. We had a nduja on bread which was good and very spicy. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, perhaps needed an extra person on hand to help when full. Good stop off place when visiting Portobello Market.
Since I first discovered Negozio, I have been a regular customer. Always liked the service, the lovely food and the very friendly staff. Samuele, Rachele and all the staff are extremely welcoming and a joy to know. Lovely people, in a great establishment. Always a favourite with me.
On a more recent visit;I'm pleased to find that the service remains as good as I've always known it to be. Our server Morella was a delight, friendly and attentive, without overdoing it. In fact, all the staff are extremely friendly and relatively knowledgeable about the products on offer. Again,I would heartily recommend Negozio to anybody who enjoys a friendly neighbourhood bar with delicious food,a wide selection of drinks and superbly friendly staff.
Wine bar offering a very good range of Italian wines accompanied by delicious bar snacks. A few main dishes on the menu too. Delightful corner location and friendly easy atmosphere.
Sampled a wide range of Italian wines here and the service was excellent, the waiter was very patient with my guest who was very picky! Lovely location on portobello road and fine selection of both wines and food.
A piece of Italy in London. I came across this place in Notting Hill to buy a bottle of wine to take to a dinner party but returned on another visit to actually sit in. The staff are so knowledgeable about wine, it made it a very easy and enjoyable experience. I had some starters with the wine which were great, but the wine was impeccable. Really wonderful.
Nice place; friendly staff; sophisticated wine selection; tasty food.
Had their wine not been a good 20-25% above market price this would have been a 5-star review.
Fantastic wine menu. Staff very friendly and attentive. Try the appetizers and share amongst the table for a great night out. Great for a first date of a relaxing night with friends.

We Brits can learn many good things from our fellow Europeans; appreciating good wine being one of them, particularly when set amongst the relaxed and sophisticated setting of Negozio Classica – an Italian wine bar, shop and restaurant in Notting Hill and Primrose Hill.
Since its start in 2002 Negozio Classica has been part owned by the Italian vineyard, Avignonesi, that supplies its wine. Something quite unusual for wine bars in London. This allows Mike and Sarah, husband and wife who run the place on behalf of the owners to stock top quality wines unavailable elsewhere in the UK. Prices for wine by the glass start from £4 and go all the way up until £17 with many of the wines either organic or bio-dynamic...
