Polpo Smithfield - London - Photo album

Went for a dinner for 4 on a Monday night. It was noisy and packed, and for good reason. This place is a little gem. Helpful unintrusive staff. And the food - delicious, authentic, good portions and great to share. You have to try the gorgonzola pork bruschetta and the strozzapreti!
Small and cosy italian tapas place, a bit upscale. The food was very good, i was there with a group of 10 friends and we tried pretty much the entire menu. The pizzette are very good, the meatballs were amazing! Only downside is despite having only a few desserts, some of them were not available. Th
Nice and chill place! The waiter and waitress are kindly and nice 💪🏼The food is good but the portions are too small...you have to mix some plates before your belly is full. I reccomend if you are lactose intolerant!
Delicious Italian food, nice calm dark mood. Lamb is great! Staff very helpful, but food delivery quite slow. Very cool bar downstairs
Interesting sharing plates, recommend the different types of arancini and croquettes to start. The steak and mushrooms was pretty good and the meatballs and spaghetti was very good. Little pizzas also decent
Interesting restaurant, felt like an Italian tapas type place as food was worth mixing and matching. Really nice atmosphere. Lighting, decor and furniture gave a warm and comfortable feel. Food was quality too - would highly recommend the spinach pizze.
Lovely little Italian restaurant. Offers small plates. The mini pizzas are cute but, perhaps because they are so small and thin crusted, they arrive pretty cold. Still yummy, though. Fast service and friendly staff
Reaaaaaally nice food, fun and attentive service. Lovely atmosphere. Meatballs and pizzetas are to die for! Will be back!
Been here on multiple trips to London already and keep coming back. This place has a nice price-value-ratio with good food and drinks. Usually the house wine is a solid choice as well. Only downside is that portions are rather small (kind of a tapas concept) and to be really full you need to order 2
We came here a few years ago, and this time it has been just as fantastic as we remembered it, actually better! The food was delicious with a good selection of meat, seafood, and vegetarian. Beef cheek Ragu and lamb meatballs! They were very welcoming and happy to accommodate walk ins. Charlie and C
I took my husband here for an early evening birthday dinner and we were very impressed for our first visit to a Polpo. The food is (Venetian) tapas style but the potions are bigger than we expected, always a pleasant surprise and luckily we didn’t over order. The food was delicious. The wine list wa
Atmosphere can be a bit noisy, but that's no reason to stay away. Nice decor. The food is great, so nice that there are smaller portions to share. Friendly staff, overall great experience.
The food was utterly delicious. It's definitely worth visiting as a group because the shared style of eating allows you to try a wider variety of dishes. We went during a lunchtime and the service was reasonable. The staggered delivery of the dishes meant we could enjoy each dish at a nice relaxed
The best restaurant experience I have ever had. We arrived without a booking on a Thursday evening and received a warm welcome whilst being shown to our two seats at the bar (great spot to eat). Jamie's team worked in fantastic and seamless synchronicity and the food was excellent. Hyusein and Sam w
Slip through the opening curtain into dark surroundings, where interesting staff will show you to a table should there be one available, you're recommended to book ahead. This follow up to the original is as good, the individual dishes we enjoyed were great and the combinations recommended worked we
