i really love itallian food and this is the best I have ever had,the staff are always warm and welcoming and the food is very good also the tiramassou is to die for!! I can-not leave here until I had some.
Olive Garden is a family-friendly Italian restaurant, with no relation to the American chain of the same name!
They do a great range of pizzas and pasta at good prices and the service is friendly.
There's a decent vegetarian menu - always nice to be able to choose from more than a Margherita pizza or mushroom risotto - and they even have vegan pizza!
They now do a breakfast menu at the weekend, which I'm super-keen to try!
Good food. Good people, mostly. Good variety and they make pastas so I love them anyway. But this place makes some kick-ass desserts so go just for that.
When my friend told me she's taking us to Olive Garden, I thought straight away of the American chain Italian restaurant. But what can I not say about this place. On walking there it just had this lovely home-y look about it. Inside was cosy and empty when we got there for about 18:30 (I think).
Now, I have not been a fan of restaurant Italian food because it always tastes like tomato and pasta which I am not fond of. So I had my reservations.
We actually went here on a recommendation from my friend's work colleague. She has been going to this restaurant for the past 10 years!!
Our waitress was lovely and took our order. Did I mention that by the time we got there, we were so hungry! We ordered our starters. I got pizza dough garlic bread with rosemary (I love garlic!), my other friend got calamari fritti and the other bread and olives. We all enjoyed our started and the olives were delicious. The calamari wasn't to my friend's tasting (She expected it to be seasoned like another restaurant) but upon squeezing the lemon juice on it she enjoyed it.
For mains we all got pastas. I got trofie alla siciliana, my friends both ordered the spaghetti marinara but one swapped chilli sauce for the white wine sauce. Oh yes, one of my friends wanted linguine but the waitress said they rarely have linguine (is that odd for an Italian restaurant? I don't know).
Well, we waited so patiently.. For three hungry girls for our food. Watching plates go to other tables, we even asked for the dessert menu whilst waiting as we were soo hungry! Eventually our food came all at the same time and I looked suspiciously at mine thinking, 'another tomato and pasta dish'. But lo and behold to my surprise, it was full of flavour!! The sauce was delicious! The ticket went extremely well with the pasta and sauce. I had feta on top but I am not a fan so I put it aside. The portion size was amazing. I lapped up that pasta and my stomach was well pleased.
My friends also enjoyed their dishes. The seafood was to their liking and they loved the flavours too. We were really surprised at how yummy the food was.
I definitely will be coming back regardless of the distance from me. Such a lovely restaurant. Oh and maybe 30 minutes after we arrived it was probably half full!
Me and my family we are regular customers in Olive Garden and it is our favourite place to go if we are hungry and fancy nice food. We absolutely love the food, service and atmosphere. I have just read the last review and I was very surprised. I cant believe taht someone was unhappy with food. It never happened to us. I can truly recommend Olive Garden it is very nice and familiar restaurant with good prices and very helpful waiting staff.
The best italian restaurant in london. Visited Olive Garden on Saturday 21st September for the first time with my family as we just moved to Southfields recently. I was shoked the restaurant was absolutely packed, but they told us to wait and in few min we had our table ready. The service was very good, very professional and very quick. They really worked very hard. Food delicious, perfectly cooked. My housband had a fish from specials the best fish he had in ages. I had spaghetti marinara was recommenede by waiter and yes indeed verry good dish and very nice portion of seafood. Children very happy, very nice children menu for a very good price. I loved it. We will be back every week from now. We were adviced to book a table during weeknds because it gets very busy in just a few minutes restaurant is full. Thanks to the very nice Manager (Older guy) he really made us feel welcome. Thank you Olive Garden for a good night we had :)
Olive Garden. A great family Italian - superb!
The Olive is a family run restaurant and they always make you feel welcome. It's busy throughout the week, and it is rrfinately advisable to book in advance, certainly Fridays and weekends. The best dishes are the prawns in garlic and the prawn risotto. Take away menu is the same and arrives hot and delicious. Definately the place to go to eat in a informal atmosphere and not pay too much. In fact it's very reasonable in price. Good for couples and families. Go and see it foe yourself. !!
Their lasagna is the best! I definitely recommend Olive Garden if you are looking for a cozy Italian restaurant serving up traditional dishes. Their price is just about right and you absolutely get your money's worth!
Deserves a better than 3.2 rating from my many experiences. Good portions, not bad price and being Italian i wont eat any rubbish Italian food as mama cooks good at home????
This is a lovely Italian place run by an Italian family. I went to London as a tourist and happened to visit this restaurant during my visit to the Wimbledon. And I must say that Olive Garden is a welcome break from the pretentious Italian places in Central London. The prices are reasonable and the servings huge. If you happen to be in the Southfields area of the London, you must try this. The pizzas were wafer thin, the way they should be. Do try their espresso as well. All in all, a pretty good experience.
Entered as a walk in on a Friday around 2100 but staff were still happy to serve. Spaghetti carbonara was delicious and very fast service (reasonable price at £11). Moretti on tap too. Very nice staff and feels authentic inside.
Food was yummy and service was so fast! Not to mention the servers are very friendly and kind. Only thing is the place was quite hot last time I went and I would love it if they could provide some lactose free, vegan options of pizzas for people who can’t have regular cheese like me :)
Never disappoints!
Pizzas, pastas, desserts, starters - all that we have been trying is handmade and great quality!
Fresh ingredients, very tasty
We definitely recommend this place, dine in or delivery
5 stars :')
Nice Italian restaurant. Popular with locals. Price is abit ex, however the food is fresh and delicious.
Love this Place, food fabulous, staff so lovely, my son and his partner won Road to Wimbledon Doubles in The all England club Wimbledon so we came here to celebrate. Best and fast turnaround in Southfield yummy.
Never disappointed!
Brilliant restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious, lovely staff, highly recommended.
Brilliant restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff very friendly. Highly recommend.
Ordered takeaway pizza and it was lovely, fast service and helpful team
Lovely staff and delicious food. Been several times now and will continue to do so when I am down there.
Fresh food with fresh ingredient. This was the boat shaped pizza that my friend ordered. It was delicious but had a bit too much cheese.
Restaurant is compact. Good pizzas on the menu. My choice this evening was Risotto Pescatora , excellent, with just enough chili seasoning to it. Average prices. Courteous staff
Great night out lovely and professional service. I have been going there for years they cook from scratch every each dish i know because i am very fussy with food. They have been by my local restaurant for nearly 20 years now. Thank you guys for all the hard work. Can't wait to celebrate your 20th anniversary soon :)
There were no Olives in their garden only Roses and Pears and Oranges and Lines, and Passionfruits and Quay-wees, and only two strawberries. Well one now, I ate one on my way home to Florida. Be careful Rory might have the other one.
Finally a good Italian restaurant where if you order pizza with prosciutto, you actually get prosciutto on your pizza and not ham.
Clean and nice restaurant.
Beautiful and friendly staff.
Will recommend and definitely come back soon
Tasty food
My wife and I took 2 friends out to dinner at this restaurant. where we are regular customers. We had delicious meals, with pasta and risotto mains. The seafood options were especially good, and we had 2 very good vegetarian starters. The service was friendly and efficient.
The food was good, fresh and well cooked. Everyone was happy with their starters, mains and desserts. Service was good as well with attentive staff.
