Sitting at the bar watching the butcher and the chefs doing their thing, with a big old charcoal grill in front of you is fantastic! Not that you can really go wrong with well smoked meats - but this is definitely taking barbecue to a more interesting level! Great staff and service too. We’ll be back for sure!

Everything is insanely good. The ambience, the service and the meat, without forgetting the tacos (remember the name: cheeseburguer tacos).

I recommend as the Main, the picanha and the lamb, with the tortillas, with a taste of a Beefeater&Tonic!

Top restaurant in London!

This original Temper in Soho had been on my list as my worship of Neil Rankin continues since the original Pitt Cue Co. After an outstanding (and half price) experience at the curry fusion version in the city (. The initial intent was actually to have Sunday roast. But the a la carte menu was actually a more interesting read with plenty of variety available for the first timer.

Temper isn’t perfect. Some of the tacos need work (especially the tortillas and indeed the other breads), while the desserts aren’t anywhere as accomplished as the carved portions of meat which serve as the mains. But what mains they are – a love letter to carnivores sealed with a juicy, flame-licked kiss.

We came for the Sunday roast and we left with happy tummies. I had the beef and my friend had the lamb and we were both pleased. The goat cheese taco was amazing too, but quite expensive for the size. The spicy corn, the cheapest on the menu, was a joke. We couldn't understand why it was even on the menu. Over-all, a great dining experience. The only letdown was the service. There were a lot of servers, but not one of them was attentive. If not for them, we would have rated this a 5.

Perfect! Joined for Saturday lunch with friends. Food is outstanding! Especially tacos! We had 2 steaks between 4 of us with few sides. And please for everyone-do not skip dessert! Cookie is must have. Don’t have pictures of cookie, as it was eaten immediately (but be careful, not like me, cookie is very hot!)

This was my first time at Temper, and it didn't disappoint. We had the Sunday roast for two, which includes beef, lamb, pork, and all of the sides, and I think it was up there with one of the best roasts I have ever had. Sitting at the kitchen, you get to watch the chefs at the open firepit, which is great. The atmosphere is brilliant with good music just at the right volume and the staff we're really friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a good place to go on a Sunday in London, I can 10/10 recommend.

The goat cheese taco was delicious, but 8.5£ for 2 tacos with goat cheese is a bit too much. We had Sunday roast and tried the lamb and chicken. The chicken was questionable on how well cooked it was, but it’s been 5 days so I guess the fact we do not have food poisoning is a good sign. The lamb was out of this world and I could eat it every day! We were contemplating whether to get the family style roast but is does not worth it as it is less meat for more money. The idea of open kitchen is good but it is not really picturesque. I would go back for the goat cheese taco and lamb Sunday roast.

Food was really good. The pork belly was well cooked with a great smokey flavour. The 16hr beef gravy was delish. Will go again with my partner. Service was a little slow though.

60 day aged ribeye was sensationally good. We came to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday evening. The staff were excellent the food was great. Recommend pretty much everything on the menu. We had most of it…

The shared roast was perfect for two. Make sure you do a gravy check because the waiter forgot to give us any and I only realised halfway through. The music was very loud, could also have been because I was right next to the speaker but it made conversation difficult. Otherwise the food was amazing.

Had the 60 day aged sirloin and the beef-fat potatoes and both were outstanding!! absolutely just loved every bite of the food. The staff were very friendly, warm and attentive. If you're a steak enthusiast you will enjoy sitting by the kitchen counter watching your steak being prepared. We also ordered the chicken dukkah which wasn't nice at all, the bread at the bottom was like frozen paratha and the chicken didn't have much flavour, but that aside I'd definitely come back for some more of the steak

Went for Sunday Roast with the family. Really wonderful roast and the best I had. Open plan kitchen with great views of the roasting and preparation of meat. Quite dimly lit underground restaurant but very tastefully decorated interior. Service was top-notch. Tried the beef roast, pork belly and beef shin which were all equally amazing. The best was the pork belly. 10/10 will definitely visit again!

Delicious steak house that you can order meat by the gram. My friends and I ordered a few different steaks to try and loved them all! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Sunday roast menu is well worth it. £33 includes a glass of wine and a pork belly roast which is quite a portion. Pork belly comes with apple sauce which is a nice touch, meat is very tender and easy to pull apart (lovely), the skin can be a little more charred and use a bit more crispy texture. Potato and Yorkshire pudding are well cooked with crispy skins.

We arrived early for dinner after a change in plans. We were seated promptly in a section that was very quiet. The staff were very friendly, lots of smiles and Rebecca was very helpful with the menu. Her recommendations were brilliant! The food was fantastic and the margaritas were the best! All in all a wonderful dinner experience!

Amazing food. Massive portions. Sharing roast on a Sunday is enormous. Such great flavours and quality. Service also spot on. Great idea of 3 mini Bloody Mary tasters, each with a different spirit, favourite was the classic though.

Good experience. Steaks were.... steaks. Can't judge too hard (I'm from Texas, where steak is ⭐️). After our food was delivered, our server disappeared. Thanks to the gentleman who stopped what he was doing to take care of our bill. Also, I'm not sure why, but they precut our steaks. 🤷‍♂️ Not complaining, just unusual. I had the sirloin bone in (550kg = £71.50)

We went for Sunday roast. We'd booked in advance but still got seated at the bar which surrounds the kitchen. It isn't where we would've chosen to sit. However, it grew on us. We had enough space and the close up view of everything being cooked added to the atmosphere. Its worth noting that it's fairly dark inside. But thats the vibe and it worked well. My wife and I ordered the three beast feast. It's a lot of food. It comes with roast potatoes, veg and huge Yorkshire puddings. We couldn't finish it all. So no need to order extras. Having said that, I do sort of regret not ordering the Cauliflower cheese on the side. It looked great. We paired it with a bottle of the house red. It was great. No need to upgrade from the house option in my opinion. We had the cookie to finish. Soft, warm, and not too sweet. Definitely worthwhile. We paid about £115 including tip.

I enjoyed my meal here thoroughly! Beef nachos were a great starter, I could have ordered another one! My favourite dish was by far the aged beef skewers, they were juicy, moist, soft and racked up with flavours, to die for! Least favourite was the chicken carnitas, especially as it had a few small bones that I wasn’t expecting, with that being said it wasn’t the worst. I was sad the goats taco had been sold out for a few days, I need to go back for some. I love that the Mezcal prawns was already deveined with no shell. Will be back for sure! Ambience was nice, customer service was good.

Went in for the classic sunday roast, although it does not look the greatest it was pretty tasty! We also had the deep dish cookie with ice cream(didn’t get a photo as it wasn’t on the plate for very long) which was very delicious. Seating arrangements are a-bit different my partner and myself had to sit up the front near where they cook the food, it was pretty cool you got to see the chefs chopping the meat up and preparing other stuff but was also very hot sitting there with all the fires going. Staff were very friendly no complaints there, each staff member we had to interact with always made sure we were okay and asking if we needed anything. Have only given 4 stars as I think it is fairly expensive compared to other restaurants we had been to around London but other than that pretty happy with it
