AMAZING brunch place. Their garden full english breakfast is honestly the best, paired with their fresh orange juice and a chai latte. Other options on the menu are also great and beautifully served, including the american pancakes. This place has become my regular brunch place with friends and everyone leaves happy.
Possibly the BEST local cafe we have in the neighbourhood in terms of quality, speed, price and variety on the menu. The main reason that I've been a regular customer all these years is simply because of the friendliness of the staff who remember your name and your usual food preference. That big welcoming smiles, rain or shine, on their faces are something that you can't put a price on!

Meal price is affordable, while the food itself tastes great. We ordered chicken schnitzel and burger.
When we came there, there were a lot of people so this place is a bit packed, otherwise it's a nice and cozy place to catch up with your friends.

Relaxed place for late weekend breakfast. Very nice outside space but nice open atmosphere inside through heigh ceilings and open front. Fast service, large portions and good quality
A text book example of how turn a dated old cafe with a secret garden in prime location , a top class , effectively run Cafe .
The food is of outstanding quality and the secret cafe during sunny weather is a little heaven away from the road .
A whole new group of customers are coming here and the cafe will easily compete with similar cafe's in Hampstead etc.

Exceptionally good breakfast and service!! Good selection of vegetarians, gluten free cakes!!! i would strongly recommend to book weekends as its packed with locals! they have beautiful large garden also where you can have your breakfast!!
The Garden Cafe was my go-to restaurant when I lived in Swiss Cottage. After frequent all-nighters I would pop in for an omelette or panini, and it was always just what I needed. The food here is very consistent and flavourful, the staff is helpful but not bothersome. The ambiance of the place is very relaxing, it feels like popping into grandmas for some tea. Their fresh-pressed Apple juice is on point, and I crave for it whenever I return home to Canada. All in all, a pretty great cafe :)
I've been having lunch from this place for years, and the food is of a consistently high quality and the portion sizes more than sufficient. They also do excellent desserts and coffee. The menu is nothing particularly groundbreaking, but the execution is solid. Other cafes out there should take a leaf out of these guys' book!

This is truly an extension of one’s home kitchen if one resides in the neighbourbood. A place to visit perhaps for more meals in a week than one has consumed at home. Those meals have primarily been breakfast for me. The Cafe’s worth & popularity is to be judged from the steady and loyal patronage of the neighbourhood that it commands. My sibling who lives permanently in the city and is a resident of the area is almost a daily visitor, combining a disciplined gym routine with an equally disciplined breakfast imbibing one at Garden Cafe.
The Cafe may not be very huge but it isn’t too small either. Funnily I have never quite ventured into the ‘garden area’ of the Garden Cafe. I like the hum of the place when it is experiencing breakfast time rush – something welcomingly wake-me-up-ish yet soothing about it all.
Their all-day breakfast is a god-sent thing for residents of the area – freshly squeezed orange juice, perfect eggs to order, toast, baked beans, fries rounded off with tea! Simple things, perfectly done. With the breakfast, you consume a relaxed & rejuvenating start to the day, such is the gentle vibe of the cafe – grab your paper, plonk yourself, order and just enjoy some blissful moments in the day before the frenzied rushing around takes over.
The service can be a bit erratic but if you behave empathetically and nice, you will hardly get any reason to complain.
Best, it is very reasonably priced to make it an ideal everyday-go-to place.

Went for a nice little brunch, we both got pancakes - I had the fruit pancakes and my friend had american bacon pancakes. The portions were massive and the food was delicious. Flavourfull, pancakes were nice and fluffy (if youre not the biggest fan of oil I'd be careful as they were a little greasy but we didn't mind that), fruits was fresh too and the maple syrup was honestly so yummy!
I got iced matcha latte with oat milk for drinks which was good as well, but I'd ask for an extra matcha shot the next time, and my friend had the pear smoothie which was more of a juice rather than a smoothie but was still good regardless (the only thing that could've been added was ice!)
Staff was nice and friendly, we had to wait for a little while to get served but once we ordered everything came relatively fast!
The restaurant has a back garden which is really lovely and quiet, the tent was a little dirty but nice regardless and there's lots of greenery which makes up for it.
If you're in the area I definitely recommend as a cute brunch date!
Absolutely love the food here - never had a bad experience. A bit pricier than other cafes, but quality of ingredient is top notch and their smoothies are great. I would love to come more often but we find the service cold and inhospitable.
First time having an English fry up and it was DELICIOUS! The beans and mushrooms were my favorite part. Coffee was tasty and strong.and they make their own fresh juices. I would have gave it 5 stars but I was kind of hard to settle the tab at the end. It wasn't clear if someone would come to your table or you went up to the counter. Nonetheless we paid at the counter and went on our merry way.
We’ve now been considered regulars and we have a “usual”.
It’s a lovely family run vibe cafe and the food is excellent.

Best breakfast I've ever had 👌 ordered eggs royal with a side of bacon which is my favourite breakfast, if its also yours then will probably be the best breakfast you've ever had aswell.
One of the best coffee shops to have brunch in London. The vegan brunch is my favourite and also had avocado toast on other occasions. However, I wish to have more options, especially sweet pancakes. If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend the blueberry cake and the raspberry cheesecake (also vegan) you can find at the counter.
I asked the staff to remake my coffee sometimes since they used milk, instead of plant-based milk.
Really nice brunch place with such a large menu which means you're spoilt for choice! The service is really nice and the place gets really busy so it's worth booking a table in advance.
There are vegan and vegetarian options available and they allowed us to make substitutions too.
We've been going here for years. Great service and food at a great price. They serve everything for breakfast & lunch (well from what I can see the pancakes seem to be a big hit). I'm a bit boring as I always get the Chicken & Avocado Salad with a side of fries. Both a very good portion. It's almost like getting a whole avocado as well. Highly recommend. NOW, if they would only add a rose wine to their wine list we'd all be happy. :)
