One of my favourite places to stop off for a drink. The bar is never too busy and its filled with mature crowd. So if you want a bit of class and finese, then here is the place to go. They also do great food which I keep forgetting to save the pics for. Very Spanish its food and wines, with the odd Portuguese thrown in for good measure. Tony the Manager is also quite entertaininy and as the DJ, plays some scrumptuous rare groove.

Lovely place to while away a Wednesday afternoon. Bar tapas actually filled me up. Super array of drinks behind the bar. Happy.

Cooking less ordinary. After two visits to Eyre brothers ( lunch & dinner) I wanted to write some lines about this place. Whilst there are many places in London, that delivers inventive Iberian influenced cooking the EB does it with style and panache. The portuguese influenced dishes are interesting and are prepared with the finest fresh ingredients. The Caldereda ( the fish stew) and the Grilled Mozambique Tiger prawns are the highlights of menu . The starters are also inventive and not only do they offer a finest selection of Jamon Iberico but also the Grilled Squid is noteworthy. The service is friendly and the wine list has everything from delightful £25 plus portuguese and spanish gems through to £100 fine spanish wines. The atmosphere when we went for luch was more muted but my most recent evening visit was very different with a great buzzing Hoxton / Shoreditch crowd. A great place to go after work with friends. Recommended.

Really nice food! Well cooked and seasoned. I have never tried medium rare pork. It was so nice. You cannot tell it is pork.

A fantastic restaurant with great atmosphere, fantastic food and a great choice of wines and beers. The staff are friendly and very amenable to most requests. They accept walk-ins as well as advance reservations; service is always very friendly and quick... The staff are always happy to make recommendations. Ideal for business meetings or taking someone special...

I've been here so many times and it's always been a pleasure. The food is delicious and quite authentic, according to some of my friends who are familiar with the Spanish culture. There restaurants has lots to offer in terms of interior design and food quality - both on a very high level. The place is always packed for the dinner hours so make sure to make a reservation.

A regular dining spot for me. Iberian food at it's best, with a great selection of wines as well. Simple, good food. I tend to go for the Iberico pig and the pimientos to start. The restaurant has a great layout and is great for both lunch or dinner.

One of my favorite places in london : tapas are amazing, many variations on pork/ham, try the wine list. On top of this I love the modern take on wooden decor. Even the smell inside makes you forget a bit you are in london.

Love this place. Top notch food and wines, great for tapas for lunch. Not cheap but great value and never have a problem getting a table, even at short notice.

Pricey, no doubt. Nevertheless, this sophisticated and relaxing place will provide you with a great service and even better food. Straight off to the top of the list of the best Portuguese restaurants in London.

Amazing restaurant, perfect tapas. I could eat here everyday if it weren't for my weak stomach. The place is excellent and I can guarantee you'll have a lovely evening if you visit.

While Eyre Brothers is located in the Shoreditch area, a trendy and buzzing area, being nestled on Leonard Street gives it a quiet and unassuming backdrop. Having been fortunate to visit various Portuguese restaurants, Eyre Brothers food can be described as authentic and flavoursome while the atmosphere can be described as modern and relaxed - with natural wood and leather being staple components of the decor. The wine menu is typically Spanish and Portuguese featuring red riojas and white Vinho Verde, a popular grape in Portugal distinguished by its high acidity. Eyre Brothers list of Vinho Verde is good, considering the flavour of Vinho Verde depends on the grape varieties used. I highly recommend the mineral and subtly fragrant Alvarinho. The food menu features the staples of Spanish and Portuguese cuisine - cod, pork, beef, spices. The menu is a combination of starters, mains, tapas and petiscos (a variation of tapas). Eyre Brothers signature dish is their Sollomio Iberico (a thyme and pimentão infused Black Iberico pork fillet) which comes with tasty potatoes. Technically there is no traditional side dishes, but I would recommend the Fried Courgettes (with chilli, garlic and mint) that serve as a healthier and tastier replacement to fries. The service is cordial and attentive - without being overbearing. What is refreshing about Eyre Brothers is that the staff and food demonstrate a true love and genuine passion for Spanish and Portuguese food.

Nice restaurant on the edge of the city and Shoreditch. Some great wines to choose from and great service. I think the menu should go back to its Spanish roots more then it does.

Nice place. Very good food! Except for the the Pastel de Nata (Custard tart) - that one could be much better... It is not cheap, but the quality was overall good
