I was staying at the Sherlock Holmes hotel and came down to the grill because it was a cold wet December evening. Pleasantly surprised by the rib eye steak at £22 and wilted spinach side. The steak was grilled to a perfect medium. Ambience does not have much to do with the famous detective except for a few paintings on the wall and the Baker Street location.
The menu is limited but served hot and with a smile :)
Unexpected surprise Booked a last minute dinner via a discout site (50% off food) based purely on location and reviews. We were greeted by friendly staff who were engaging and attentive. The starters were beautifully presented and both the King Scallops and the Salmon we chose were very good. We both went for the Rib-eye stake to follow, which again was presented very well, cooked to perfection, as were the chips. We finished off the meal with a crumble which was lovely. All in all, a fantastic meal, nice comfortable surroundings and excellent service. With the discount it was a good value meal, without it would have been expensive, but considering the quality and service no more than you'd expect for a London restaurant of this calibre.
I used to go there for lunch as my university is quite close to the hotel.
Ambience: The atmosphere is amazing and everything is in a stylish stunning way. The restaurant and the bar is a part of the hotel which is further inside.
Service: The service is at an exceptional level and I paid less than £20 for food and drinks. The dish I usually have there is the chicken caesar salad which I believe is the best in town.
Great location, great atmosphere, quite a sophisticated style. Definitely recommend it!
