I am a regular at Pizza Express and love it but had not been to the bankside restaurant, buzzing location to sit and watch the world go by enjoying fab food! Discount vouchers always available on-line, saved a total of £17.00 on a Saturday, bargain! The Grande Chicken Caesar Salad was a large portion and really tasty. I can recommend the "romana" pizzas, they are the best!
V good service went the extra mile to make sure we were all happy. Good food and v good Malbec!

Grab a table by the window to watch the world go by! We had child pizza and pasta, adult lasagna and a diet pizza, all delicious. Doughballs very good as expected. Very friendly staff, atmosphere spoiled by screaming baby for 30 minutes but overall a good experience.
Great place for a quick meal. It's got a nice family atmosphere. They bake their bread fresh and it makes a world of a difference to their pizzas etc. good taste and good value for money

Pizza express is a chain for Pizza Italian in the UK . We were just roaming around in the
area when we decided to have lunch.
And whats better than to have Pizza on a sunny afternoon.
Ambiance :
They have got a huge place with seating outdoors and indoors. On a good
weather day I would love to sit outdoors and have my hot pizza there.
Food :
We ordered the following :
Garlic bread with mozzarella cheese.
Cheesy dough balls.
Romana Pizza with Chicken.
I forgot the name of the pizza but the Under 500 Calories
category. Veg pizza from that .
Romana Pizza Veneziana ( vegetarian) .
We were a very hungry group but we ordered a little less
thinking that the portions are anyways huge.
The garlic bread was
fabulous. Freshly baked . you
could smell the garlic and the seasoning
was perfect .
The cheese dough balls were really cheesy and perfectly
baked.
Both of these were the starters but the portions are not
even enough for one person. So disappointing .
Both the romana pizzas were amazing. They tasted really
good. Perfectly thin crust and enough amount of toppings. Tastyyy.
The under 500 calories category pizza, again, disappointing
. A very small portion . I didn’t like the crust much . very thin and it was crispy .
The salad with the pizza didn’t go well for me.
Service : top notch. , everything came on time .
VFM : I didn’t feel it was value for money . that garlic bread and cheese dough balls were
really less for the price charged. Pizza was priced allright .
Still I felt I overpaid for the amount I ate.
I visited this restaurant with friends at dinner time for first time. Our table was served by Yuksel, I assume he is the restaurant manager. He welcomed us with a smile and a very friendly attitude, also the waiters who served food to our table were very nice and professional. Food was delicoius, prepared according to our preferences and dietary restrictions. both food and drinks were served very quickly. An additional advantage is that the restaurant is located on great place and offers a wonderfview of the Thames river and St.Paul's Cathedral also this brunch offers live music.
The dinner will definitely be remembered.
This outlet of pizza express was the best. The location, ambience and food and beverage service was great. We can enjoy the beautiful views with the food. Would love to visit again!

How lovely it was to visit the Bankside branch of Pizza Express. Situated on the Thames by The Globe Theatre, this restaurant boasts stunning views of St. Paul's Cathedral and other London landmarks.
Quality of food: 17/20 A fine example of Pollo Pesto with no mushrooms. The dough balls were mouth-watering and the Coppa Gelato was a fine consistency.
Atmosphere: 20/20 The location and ambiance were outstanding. I loved the riverside views and the low ceiling added an intimate but not a claustrophobic atmosphere. The posh bar, beautiful reception and stairwell were stunning, giving one the impression of being in an expensive hotel lobby.
Staff friendliness and efficiency: 17/20 Our waitress was lovely and very friendly. This was a busy branch but the wonderful, relaxed atmosphere made us want to prolong the experience.
Cleanliness: 18/20 The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was of a high standard. It was a pleasure to visit the upstairs lavatory as it meant walking through the reception area and up the beautiful stairwell to see stunning views across London.
Overall enjoyment: 18/20 A marvellous experience!
Final Score: 90/100 (A/A*) Excellent/Outstanding

The pizza that I choose was so yummy ! The waiter is super kind and helpful. It’s a very good place, the interior is so beautiful and chill. Also, I liked the playlist :) And nice bathrooms by the way !
Really good attentive staff and fresh, crisp pizza with a view across the Thames. £20 for a pizza and a pint of Peroni. Recommend. On my way back along the Thames I popped in and asked if I could just have I pint at the bar and again really friendly and only to happy to help. While there for maybe 15 minutes I could tell the staff genuinely enjoy working together and having a laugh, even making me laugh at what was said. If I'm ever back in London would come here for a quick snack and really fresh Peroni pints
The food was delicious. I need to eat gluten-free and it is always a lovely surprise to have a lot of good options. Our waiter, Szidonia was excellent ... very helpful and friendly. Will certainly be back. Thanks!

Pleasant staff, excellent location immediately next to the Globe Theater. I ordered off-menu without any fuss. I enjoyed myself thoroughly. Also, the view from their terrace along the river is amazing.

We came in not knowing what to expect, but got assigned a table with fabulous view. The food was absolutely delightful, definetly one of the best or the best pizzeria of London. Our Greek waiter Panos made our day with exceptional service and humor. Furthermore there was live music and great vegetarian options. If you’re looking for tasteful pizza with a lovely view and great service this is the place to go!
Our waitress was Szidonia and I wouldn’t normally leave a review, but she was exceptional and has been the best waitress in London. She is friendly, attentive and anticipates everything we might need to enjoy our meal. I applaud her. London needs more Szidonias!
