Absolutely buzzing place! Great food, amazing cocktails! Wonderful staff. Highly recommend this place.
Great venue with lovely staff and a great menu. Two for one cocktails a bonus . Had a lovely meal with hardly any wait for our food. Highly recommend
Great place to people watch with a cocktail (buy one get one free!). Only down point is the stools in the bar area are extremely uncomfortable and verge on being torture devices! Something more comfortable would make this place extra special!
I just had the best NYE of my life there. Amazing staff, good food and a delicious Daiquiri. Strongly recommend!
Fantastic service and made to feel very welcome. Loved the Albóndigas, Quesadillas and Empañada. The Water melon Margarita's were to die for. Could have drunk a whole pitcher of them. I would recommend to friends and family and would eat here every night if I could. Fantastic.
This place is amazing! Food and drinks very nice! Customers service was excellent! Best recommendations! I will definitely coming back
Service was excellent and swift. We had the table for an hour and a half, which was perfect. The food was just delicious, would thoroughly recommend.
Not only is the menu impressively extensive with dishes varying from and representative of every corner of the South American continent but the entire set up makes you feel relaxed and creates the mood for kicking back and having some fun. I also had the pleasure of being served by one of friendliest and knowledgeable barman that I have ever encountered. What a pleasure to meet someone who puts so much effort into their craft. His passion was enjoyed by all he served.
This venue is perfect when visiting the South Bank. A prime location with views across the river and a vast menu. The kids menus kept all the kids happy and busy, I opted for a Cuban Sandwich. This was a pulled pork burger which was delicious. We also ordered a Fiesta Ensalada which was very colourful and pleasing to the eye and palate.
A great vibe accompanied by a sizable selection of tasty Latin American dishes. Portion sizes are on average bigger than normal so a single main course plus 1 or 2 sides/starters, ought to easily feed a table of 2. Good value for money as well. It can get quite busy, so be prepared however for things to take a little bit longer than usual.
There are some places that have an electric vibe. This place is one of them, on a lazy afternoon met some my family here when travelling to London some months ago a was surprised by the flavors, the fusion in food. Simple drinks have also been very well tapped into taste and suit the palette. I tried some Mexican and a burger. Nothing was disappointing. Try it once whenever you're around a Las Iguanas. I'm a little put off by the prices, quite overpriced.
Las Iguanas on Southbank has a buzzing atmosphere was packed when I met a friend for dinner on a Thursday evening.
The menu is extensive, without being overwhelming and I was pleasantly surprised they offered a veggie menu separately, with many vegetarian meals able to be modified to be vegan-friendly.
The salsa that came with the Totopos (corn chips) was amazing, as was the guacamole I nabbed from my avocado-hating friend's meal!
For my main, I had the vegan version of the Moqueca de Palmitos (Brazilian veggie curry), which was delicious and super-filling; I couldn't finish it, which is unusual for me!
There were 2-for-1 Mojitos, which were nice enough but felt a bit "watered-down" with ice.
Overall, a great place for a catch-up or to start a night out but be prepared for a noisy, bar feel rather than cosy restaurant.

Las Iguanas was packed when we arrived at 7 pm!! Luckily some friends were waiting for us there.
We ordered some Natchos (straight from hell - as you expect them to be) and a Long Island iced tea Pitcher - wich was waaay overpriced (19£). 2/3 of it was ice, basically.
We had some amazing Mexican Food at Las Iguanas. The menu was quite diversified, the difficult part was choosing. We opted for some tapas and starters, and i loved them all. Go before 7pm so you can enjoy it at happy hour prices. The only con for me was the noise, given that the restaurant was quite crouded.
This is a chain from what I can tell. I like the decor and the service. Sort of echoes in here so when you get a few loud people it's hard to converse with someone. Love the food, will be back for sure
This place I'd been to two years back.
And it's still so.fresh in my memory!
The entire experience and the perfect location!
Always a great crowd there and always a nice little wait before the amazing food and sangria!
We were walking around this incredible area and we were thirsty and hungry and we decide to have a couple of beer ( bhrama) and some tapas .
They had a deal for 3 tapas 15 pounds for 5 tapas 25 pounds .
The portion are big for be a tapas and 3 were enough for two person , we ordered prawns but they were to spice and to chilly for my taste , a big plate of nachos not the best one I tested but nice , and veg anchadillas with mashroom and cheese .
Very important they have happy hour from 10 am to 7 pm you can really enjoy .
But the best side is the service , we have been served by Rodrigo a nice Brazilian guy really professional .
I had a really great fresh salad with mangoes, roasted pecans, and goats cheese! Perfect for a sunny day!
Also had a fresh tender coconut to drink! Throwback to the beaches in South East Asia!
The churros were tasty, but a tad too greasy for my liking. They came with chocolate and caramel dipping sauce! YUM!
Two for one cocktails, can't go wrong!
Great location for summer!
Ate the enchilada and had the Brahma. Good food. Will be here more as its so close to home. Lots of options for the veggies. Service was good overall. Sit upstairs (or outdoors, weather permitting).
Great view & cocktails!. Love the cocktails here and the food is amazing! They generally have a happy hour and can get quite busy! Love the decor!
Good food good service. Enjoyed the experence the food was good and served quickly. Prices were responsie for foodand drinks. good atmosphere and good choice for south bank shows etc.
It's a nice little place if quite crowded. Also you can only book at 6 pm and 8pm which I found rather strange. And too few bartenders plus not much space to stand and drink. Buy then went down to have dinner. The waitress was a treasure, very sweet and smiling. We had a vegetarian risotto, a sea food paella with a normal mohito and a vanilla mohito (avoid the latter). With some retried black beans (avoid this, it's basically Indian daal) and curly fries. Don't ask. Anyway. Food was ok, nothing earth shatteringly good but you could have a good conversation and have reasonable food. Bill came to 50 quid which was say 10 quid more than what I would have paid for the quality. But good nonetheless. Will try to go there again and this time try the Brazilian menu. And the c heesecake was good.
To me the biggest USP of the place is that it is one the very few bars in London that is open 2-3 at night and the cocktails are quite decent as well!!!
I feel it is a bit sacrilegious to give such a big chain this high rating, as you'd think it cannot possibly be better than the proper small ones where the owner knows your name and everything is genuinely Italian or French and the food is locally sourced. However, I have to say, after having been to Las Iguanas multiple times it deserves to get my good review. I have been to several of the outlets and they all are equally good, which is a great quality for a chain! The menu at Las Iguanas is very varied, and it all sounds delicious - they have so many choices of different vegetables and meat prepared in different ways. I have had quite a few different dishes, it is always fantastic. And what also surprises me slightly with this chain of restaurants is that the staff is always (as far as I can remember now) very smiley, nice and service minded. It's not always very efficient, but I can live with that. So if you're ever stuck with the plethora of choices or eateries which sometimes can present itself, such as in Southbank, don't feel worried about being dragged towards Las Iguanas' tempting look (the interior is always very stylish and colourful), it will very highly likely be worth it.
Went late on a Thursday evening with my sister and boyfriend. Very busy when we got there around 22:00. But we were able to get a table straight away with comfy seats (yay!).
We couldn't decide what we wanted to eat so we took a while and our waitress was lovely and patient. When we did finally decide and ordered, food and drinks came I think in approximately 10mins even though they were so busy!
Food well presented. I ordered the BAHIA MOQUECA with just sustainable white fish. The white fish was tender and the sauce was good. I really liked the coconut farofa sprinkles. My sister ordered the THE EXTRAORDINARY XINXIM, she wasn't fond of the sauce but was able to eat it nonetheless and sweet potato fries ????. My boyfriend ordered POLLO CON CHORIZO and he ate his all up.
The only issue was the plantain that came with my sister and I's meal was not fried through therefore not enjoyable.
Overall great atmosphere and great service.
This is a great place to chillax after work for a couple of cocktails. Especially as they have happy hour until 7.30, 4 days a week.
The tapas' are a great accompaniment to soak up all the alcohol. The staff are friendly and attentive and will always ask if you want another drink just at the right time!
After work my friend took me to this Mexican restaurant. This was my first time experiencing Latin American food and I can't believe I have been missing out on such great food all these years. I ordered a chicken burrito which was very delicious and it cost me about £7. This place is so great, it's on my list of restaurants to go back to.
So if your looking for some great Mexican food then this is the place to go. Las Iguanas is a Latin American restaurant that specialises in Mexican and Brazilian food.
I went there once with some of my friends. It was buzzing with people and it is normally full. Therefore it is good that you book in advance.
The service is extremely good as most of the staff are Latin American and they have this welcoming and warm attitude.
The atmosphere is quite authentic as once you go through the door, you are automatically transported to Latin America-the ambience, the rhythms and the interior are in a total harmony.
We spent about £100 for four people but we ate a lot of things. We took the nachos as a starter which was just brilliant with the guacamole which was quite creamy and fresh. We ate the famous fajitas with chicken breasts, served with different sauces.
The restaurant is also situated along the river Thames which is an amazing location and opens great views.
Definitely would go back there!
I love this place! Best place I've been to for Mexican food. I've been there over 5 times in a few months for different occasions, birthdays, catch ups and drinks.
It is situated not too far from Waterloo and is right opposite the riverside. It is a great place to have a meal at in summer or at winter as it has a lovely view.
Both the food and dessert is amazing there. Customer service is always on point. Despite it being busy all the time, because it's spacious, you can enjoy your meal without feeling crammed.
I would recommend las iguanas to all! The price is reasonable. The average price for a meal with two people is £30 and is perfect for a date of a meal with friends.
Las Iguanas does great food and a good happy hour. The restaurant is normally buzzing with people and has a friendly atmosphere.
The staff are really happy and helpful. There is a lot of seating and if you do have to wait for a table, you are given a number that pops up on a screen when they have a table ready for you (pretty nifty, right?). They also have the perfect location right on the South Bank, which is both lively and beautiful.
Try their home-style burritos, they are packed with flavour!
The food was lovely, grate service an the cocktails were in point. Would definitely recommend friends and family to go there.
The setting near the bank is also a plus as your a short walk away from great views of the city.
The thing I loved about this chain is that they have a separate vegetarian and vegan menu, which is not too common in the city. Their home made mushroom burrito is a must try, for a delightful diversion from the usual burritos. Also, if you're a cheese connoisseur with a slight sweet tooth, you are going to relish every bite of the halloumi cheese salad. Also, their coffee and desserts are a must try. Despite an apparently heavily busy staff, the delicious food is often compensated by the relatively slow service. I wish it were a little more pocket friendly, otherwise it is one of the best Mexican cuisines I have eaten in London!

Great food and service. Prices are what you can expect of a mexican restaurant, but it's worthed. The Nachos are amazing.
I have no complaints, from begginging to end, it was perfect the lovely shirt haired blonde lady was really attentive to my gluten free diet. She advised on the ingredients and took all of our orders excellently. The cocktails on happy hour were excellent. The food was amazing. I had the mixed grill tacos. Gluten free with beef steak, chicken and Prawns. It was so good. I will definitely have it again. Thank you for the love service and food.
The food is pretty good and the cocktails were great for the most part (except the espresso martini is overly sweet). The staff were attentive and friendly which made for a good experience. The only downside is the toilets were an absolute mess and there was only 2 urinals and 1 male toilet for the entire restaurant. Overall would recommend for the food and 2 for 1 cocktail hours.
Lots of food came out promptly. Of course we over ordered! Lovely food great place for a couple or family or group of friends. Staff excellent
We visited this restaurant after a theatre trip on a Thursday at just after 5.00 pm. We managed to get a table quite easily even though we didn't have a booking. The atmosphere was good and the seating was comfortable. The food was good quality and very tasty. It was served pretty quickly and was nice and hot. We ordered five different dishes and all were enjoyed. We also had two for one cocktails - Pina coladas were very nice. For central London it was good value at £108.00 for five diners including drinks and £12.00 service charge. Would definitely visit again.
Generally very good food, service is prompt enough and waiters are lovely - we were served by Tonia and she was amazing!! Would definitely recommend and planning on coming back soon.
The food was good.We ordered one cocktail and they brought out two
I really enjoyed my burrito outside in the sunshine. I had the curly fries and a pint of corona. It was reasonably priced for London and very filling. It's my first time to a las iguanas. I would definitely return to another one.
Great place to have food and drinks with friends. The employees were friendly and attentive right from the start, the food and drinks came relatively quick. The mains were delicious, especially Xinxim. Pina coladas were so good we ordered a second round of them. Overall, great experience. We'll definitely be coming back!
Good Food, along with Good Knowledge on Allergens as there's a range of options on the Menu. Handy Location. Reasonable Prices. Nice Atmosphere. Fantastic Service especially from Jon & another young lady we didn't get the name of.
Popped in for a quick drink with 2 friends last night. Didn't fancy sitting outside as it was a but nippy. The guy who greeted us on entry was very accommodating. He managed to squeeze us in by the bar to the side of the entrance. Three Pitchers of Long Island Iced Tea later we were still there. Shame we missed Happy Hour! Just shows it pays to be nice. Bar staff and door security were very attentive and polite.
A busy venue. But busy for a reason. The food is great and priced fairly. 2-4-1 cocktails added even more value.
Zsanett was our waitress and she was very attentive. It's a fast paced restaurant and she did well to ensure that we didn't wait too long.
A bit more interaction would have made the difference between 4 stars and 5.
I would definitely come back to this restaurant overall a positive evening!
Best bottomless brunch I’ve ever been to! Food is amazing. Cocktails are banging. Best server ever is Linka. 10/10
I had a super pre-theatre dinner with my mum and sister on a Saturday night and the food and atmosphere was perfect for us! We wanted somewhere with vibrancy and buzz as it was 5pm and so didn’t know if places would be quiet…. But Las Iguanas was the perfect place for us to start our evening! Super close to the station and a short walk to the theatres / Soho. Leo our waiter was also really helpful, super friendly and didn’t mind us asking lots of questions to help us select our meals. He was great! We will definitely recommend and come again! Thank you!
To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Las Iguanas but my friend didn't offer me much choice of where to eat yesterday as I could tell they were bent on going to Las Iguanas for the sake of happy hour cocktails 🍸🤦🏾♀️.
I must say, though, that the dishes I ordered were not as bad as I had at another branch years ago. The chicken wings were well cooked, but I didn't like the sauce it was in. It tasted like it had a ketchup base, and I hate ketchup. But that's down to my personal preference. I'm sure the cooking was done well and the taste works for many other people. Whilst I liked my tropical cooler mocktail, my friend didn't like theirs much. I tasted it, it was bland. Pineapple cooler or something like that.
The atmosphere was great. The waiter was great, but the guy who ushered us to our seat had a little attitude. I noticed that some chairs had cushion while some didn't. The table we were given had wooden chairs without cushion, so I asked why it didn't and if I could get a cushion just so my bum is a bit more comfortable. He looked shocked and said, "These chairs have been like this for 16 years, and no one has complained." Then, I was shocked at the silly response. I doubt no one has complained, and if they did, I'm certain they got the cold shoulder attitude as well. In the end, he still didn't give me a cushion. Sad guy.
The restaurant is at the heart of central London and close to many underground stations.
I may or may not visit again, but if I do, I will get my cushioned chair. Lol
I was here on a sunny Thursday afternoon, and it was very busy with people enjoying cocktails and dining too.
I really enjoyed the food, chicken wings to start didn't take a pic because I was hungry and impatient by the time they arrived! And then 8oz steak for main.
The food was nice, but it did take a very long time for both starters and to arrive once ordered. Would probably try somewhere else next time.
The quesadilla was delicious. We enjoyed the mojitos as well. Would recommend making a reservation. We did & were sat right away despite a very long line up outside. We were seated & served quickly however no one ever came back to check on us & after finishing our meals & drinks & sitting for quite some time, we had to ask someone to find our server so we could get our bill & pay.
Me and my family has a lovely bottomless brunch on Saturday afternoon. Despite it being extremely busy Tonia gave us the best service. She was very accommodating and fast paced whilst still being warm and friendly. She ensured we all got the most out of our bottomless cocktails that’s for sure. Tonia thank you for making mine and my family’s time so lovely. It meant a lot for us to have such a smooth and easy experience as we very rarely let loose and meet up with one another as a group x
