At the heart of Earls Court Road, I found this Tavern. Craving some Authentic English food, I ordered their steak and wine pie. Yum! I loved the dough, the tender steak, and the tasty mashed potatoes. The place is cosy and sweet. The service was friendly and timely.
Recommended!
Probably my favorite meal during my London trip - absolutely loved the steak and ale pie, wish I could have taken a dozen more home with me. The fish & chips were excellent too, and the staff was attentive and efficient. Would love to go back again, and would highly recommend especially the steak pie for visitors!
I came with my friends to this great pub. The food was outstanding, we could tell that the chef knew what he was doing.
The server Eva was very kind and helpful. One of the nicest girls i’ve ever met. I definitely recommend this pub. Gonna return to this one for sure
Stopped in to dine on my own and the staff was so kind, especially Virginia. Decided to add a beer and shot to my meal. A game was on and the music was great. Made it easy to have a dinner alone!
Very good, typical English pub, with a great choice of beers to choose from. The menu includes all the dishes you expect to find in a pub, but they were delicious. Good drinks and wonderful stuff. Eva, our server, was nice and helpful. The pub needs to protect that girl at all costs. Interior nicely classic and authentic. I liked that there were no tourists. Liked the atmosphere in the evening. Busy and a lot of people to talk to. Met Richard, the local one, great guy, he’s here every day, so maybe you’ll meet him.
Walk 50 yards from Earls Court station and you will see, on the right hand side of the road, "The Earls Court Tavern". A traditional public house. They offer various beers, wines & spirits along with a gastro pub menu. The staff were friendly and helpful and I liked the atmosphere. Not a large establishment. It was not crowded during my visit but there was a steady stream of customers. I chose the fish & chips from the menu which I enjoyed very much. Lovely fresh fish in a crispy batter with chips, peas, tomato and a pot of tartar sauce. Very reasonable prices for this area of central London. I am sure that I will be returning many times in the future.
This find was a fun place to make memories with friends. Great options for dishes that pleased even the pickiest of our party of 4 adults and three teenagers from the States. Denis was not only helpful but had great recommendations and was extremely pleasant to work with. The small bites are a great way to sample and hang out. The fish and chips are a great display of a traditional welcome to London. If you are looking for a clean tavern that is housed in this historic beautiful area and was built in 1864 and offers a grand selection of food you are in luck. The Karaage sticky Chicken was so popular we had to order another round. The wholetail Whitby Scampi is not pan fried but is more of a dumpling shrimp that is deep fried in the shape of a tater tot. The chicken and bacon sandwich was well received and was huge. It was flavorful and filling and light on the bacon. The grilled cheese toast is was a great blend of cheeses and was devoured by the 15 year old with us. The beer is COLD! And Denis made sure we had cute glasses. The contemporary music in thr background was fun for our group. This is a great place to relax enjoy a meal, have a beer and laugh about how you set of a smoke alarm with hairspray. Enjoy. #earscourttavern #kensingtonfare #kensingtonrestaraunts #kensingtonpub #kensingtonlunch #kensingtondinner #fishandchipskensington
Easily one of my favorite places to stop for something to eat/drink. Comfortable atmosphere with TVs. Service is quick and friendly. Food is always great and large portions. Free tap water near the bar is appreciated. Always looking forward to coming back!
Best Pub I found in London on our vacation. Gertrude is a very lovely employee. Eva and her colleagues took very good care of us, recommended drinks and were very friendly! Hard to find these days. i’ve tried Triple Chocolate Brownie it was delicious, but i wished they were served with more ice cream. Cheers
A very busy venue. Located on a busy high street. TV screens.
When I visited it was packed. 6 deep queues for bar. All tables taken. People waiting for a table. I was interested.
Solo visit eating Fish and Chips, and beers all at £26.50.
Nice big fish , plenty of chips etc.
Service is friendly but was slow and this was due to staffing which is understandable as it was very busy.
You'll find alot of tourists here equally interested due to its location.
Check it out.
Just awesome! Very comfortable, super friendly staff, good food and drinks. We loved it and were there everyday of our London stay. Thank you!
