It's one of my favorites as it's just outside Liverpool Street and handy for train home! Good ales and decent food and just a proper pub! What's not to love? :)

A fantastic bolt hold, oasis from all the modernity that surrounds. How a pub should be! Rich decor and good beer + food provides an ideal sanctuary.
We went for a dinner at Saturday evening, the kitchen was already closed, but the the staff was very kindful and friendly and we got a perfect food for dinner. The atmosphere is like a traditional pub, i liked that. I will definitely come back. Thank you very much!

Great after work drinks! Close to the tube and usually fairly busy - with option for a more private table for 4 to 6 Pax.
Ideally placed watering hole with a decent selection of drinks, beers and ales. The staff are friendly and attentive. Seating room included, but this is more of a stand around and stand outside with a beer kind of environment. Typical city pub and the atmosphere reflects that well. It does what it says on the tin so no surprises or complaints here.
I had an amazing time couple of days back at this place with couple of my friends. Awesome ambience, food and drinks. Special shout out to Bijay for the amazing dishes that he made for us and Jack for drinks he recommended. Even though the place was packed they were very happy to listen to all our requests. A must go place after a tough day if you are around Liverpool street.
Ethan welcomed us into the warm atmosphere the pub had with a nice smile and friendly attitude. The old wood and warm lighting made me feel comfortable and at home, 10/10 will be coming again.

I ended up in this pub with a couple of colleagues, after a long hot day in the City, bouncing from one meeting to another. We just wanted somewhere where we could relax and unwind, as well as get something half decent to eat.
Despite being a Thursday evening, we managed to grab a table, which was clean and quite spacious (being hot, didn't want to be sitting shoulder to shoulder with other people).
We ordered drinks quickly, and the staff bought them over to where we were sitting. We also ordered some food from the wide menu available. I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel on the recommendation of the welcoming and helpful Bar Manager Ertaan, and was not disappointed by what the chef Bijay served up. Mine and my colleagues food came out quickly and was well cooked, hot and value for money. Bijay came out into the restaurant to ask if we were happy, and check if we needed anything else. Overall we felt well looked after!
All of the staff, including Kate who served us at the bar, and also Susanne who sorted our bill were very friendly, despite probably being exceptionally hot behind the bar and in the kitchen! Nothing was too much trouble!!
I have been here number of times and every time I am at this place Ethan and Micheala treat us with the best service levels that one can ask for from any pub in the city. I have personally worked and observed the service industry in the UK for number years and I have not experienced that WOW factor from anyone else than Ethan and Micheala. So Kudos to the LA Bar Management for having people like Ethan and Micheala in their team! Thank you to my favourite place after work in the city :-)

I recently had the pleasure of visiting "Lord aberconway ," a renowned bar that has been the talk of the town for its ambiance, drinks, and exceptional service. From the moment I stepped foot through the door, I was captivated by the bar's enchanting atmosphere and the warm, welcoming staff ( special mention Mr Bijay). He was attentive, always ready to provide recommendations or answer any questions about the extensive drink menu. His knowledge of the bar's offerings was impressive, and they were adept at guiding patrons through the various beers and options available. Lord aberconway truly lives up to its name, delivering an extraordinary blend of exquisite drinks, impeccable service, and a sense of community that will leave you longing for your next visit.
I had been to this Pub before, as always yesterday I had absolutely amazing time spent with my friends. The ambiance, staff , drink and food was amazing. Thanks to Ertaan who suggested me few drinks and it turned out to be the best. Also, would like to thank Kate, Bijay and Susane for wonderful service and food. I can strongly recommend this pub!
Had an amazing night at the pub. Jack was a lovely lad and had a pleasant chat with him. Definitely would recommend if you're about Liverpool Street Station.
I thought I'd got too much change until Katie told me she had given me two fiver's instead of a tenner! Honest bars staff, good people!
Re-visited this place having been a regular when I worked in The City. Great to get back to its familiar feel, pretty good beer options and tasty food. The staff were extremely helpful and whilst not overly busy for a Friday it was a good atmosphere. Look forward to returning.

Absolutely great! Fantastic food , my kids had the most delicious ham and cheese sandwich ever! And we had the best club sandwich ever. Good environment and nice staff.
Great cocktails by Ertan and the rest of the staff were lovely. Will be definitely returning. Great place to get some work done too. : )
