I booked dinner at Foley’s Tasting Kitchen as soon as I first read about it, and counted the days till our dinner. Foley’s kitchen is headed up by Head Chef Mitz Vora who was previously sous Chef at The Palomar, and that is still one of my favorite restaurants in London. They say the food is...

Whether it's the experimental and creative nature of London's restaurateurs we have to thank, or the delightfully open-minded restaurant-going public, it seems every time you think this city's sheer variety and quality of places to eat out could not possibly get any more bewildering, another culinary trend leaps out of left-field to take everyone by surprise. It's a mug's game attempting to pinpoint exactly where any particular foodie fashion begins - did MeatEasy really kick off the burger craze, or did they simply crystallize a demand forged by places like Haché and Gourmet Burger Kitchen? Pitt Cue was many people's (including mine) formative BBQ experience, but where would they be without Bodean's, our original home-grown pitmasters? - but if ever a city can leap upon a thing, reinvent and reinvigorate it for a local audience and (a happy byproduct of the whole process) make some money out of it, it's London. With little home-grown culinary traditions to draw upon, we have instead made the world's our own.

Another London gem!  Thoroughly loved our meal at the new Foley's after having previously enjoyed the Shepherd's Bush popup in it's very early days and despite some service issues, and of course Palomar where the chef worked previously and which nailed on all fronts.

Normally I would have loved to sit at the counter around the basement kitchen, which seems to be the prime spot for duo dining, but given the quite hot London day was happy to sit at a cooler table for two nearby.

Drinks menu seemed fine - did not try the cocktails but enjoyed the Pale Ale I had, and the wines by the glass were serviceable.

The food is really great.  Quite oddly it runs the gamut from Japanese/Korean/South East Asian/Indian to the more expected Middle Eastern/Mediterranean.  For this reason I recommend just devouring the food as it comes.  While I tried to save some of the amazing Middle Eastern spiced aubergine with pomegranate, feta, et al to pair with later dishes, there was obviously no chance with the octopus/black miso, and not even that much synergy with the lamb/hummus dish.  All the dishes were deliciously bold in their own right and best enjoyed individually.

It seems to be flying under the radar out in Fitzrovia as did the popup, without any big press reviews that I've noticed thus far, which is good for diners... maybe those that can't get a spot at Palomar? They do bookings!

This is one spice trail you need to follow! It’s been a while since I’ve been blown away by a new restaurant but the food and service at Foley’s soft launch has left me more than impressed. Mitz Vora, former sous chef at The Palomar, has created an exciting menu of street food inspired dishes from all over the world. Most importantly, there’s a memorable selection of veggie dishes. Yay!

To be honest, I think I knew that I was going to like Foley’s before I’d even been to it. For a start, the new restaurant is helmed by Mitz Vora, former sous-chef at one of my favourite restaurants in London, the Palomar. And then there’s the concept. A contemporary kitchen inspired by the historic spice trail (think elements from all over: India, China, the Middle East and even the Mediterannean)…

Having had a successful pop-up in Shepherd’s Bush, the creators of Foley’s finally opened their permanent spot. This new location is hidden within London’s Fitzrovia – a short walk away from Goodge Street tube station – and is actually on Foley Street.

The menu is said to be modern world cuisine inspired by the food and flavours from the spice trail. When we were given the menu, that's exactly what we could see. There were different combinations of ingredients and flavours from countries in the Far East, Middle East and Mediterranean...

A cosy Thai restaurant with a decent cocktail menu and plenty of Thai classics. We enjoyed the duck curry, calamari, matchstick chicken wings, chicken Pad Thai and a mango rice pudding. Portions were on the smaller side but flavour was good and ingredients were fresh. Would have liked to see more rice on the sticky mango pudding and fresh mango instead of mango pudding (perhaps mango wasn't in season) but a nice dessert to round off the meal regardless. Staff are attentive and friendly. Would recommend for a quick weeknight dinner or casual meal out with friends. Vegetarian options available as well

Incredible service, super friendly, offering recommendations and attentive. Food was delicious, portions were filling and very affordable for what it is. I would've paid more for what I got! Good wine selection, and even the desserts were all tempting (which I don't usually think). Recommend it very much! Perfect for a date.

Wonderful restaurant with informative and fun staff. We shared a good few dishes and all of us have said that this was amazing and would go back. The drinks were great too. Recommend the tamarind duck as everyone said it looked the best and was delicious to have. One of the best fusion places I’ve had

My husband and I just had dinner here and it’s amazing. We tried so many dishes but the stand outs were: Rock shrimp, prawn curry, and the papaya salad. Would definitely come back.

Overall a nice dinner, and I don't have any real complaints other than it being rather loud. But that's not the restaurants fault. Pad Thai was excellent and would recommend. Reasonably priced.

Our dining experience at Foley's this evening was outstanding. Restaurant offered a high quality of dining experience for 13 of us! Mums and daughters . Various ages. Restaurant Manager Adnan was so natural and knew how to care for individuals. Made great recommendations with unique tastes. Papaya salad was mouthwatering, fresh and was flavorful! I had a second serving! Still want more, yummy. Mushroom Buns were delicious, soft and mushrooms cooked to perfection. All of us had a amazing dining experience this evening. We had so many different dishes cooked to perfection. I washed the meal with a lovely cuppa of an English tea 🍵 😋. I had to find out to make of it. That was the best cuppa I had!. Thank you Team Foley's 😊 💓 for a great night and a wonderful experience

Quite a nice pan Asian restaurant, ranges from different south east Asia cuisine. Went for some Thai food over here and not too bad in this area. Worth giving a try.

Good atmosphere and menu. From food - papaya salad was great, pad thai was a bit salty but well cooked and in good portion.

Surprisingly considering it is marketed as Asian fusion… it is not that bad at all. In fact the calamari, satay, and Thai green curry could be one of the best I’ve tried in London.

Nice drinks, some lovely dishes, disappointing desserts, quite expensive Only went for bits and bobs but the mains looked nice. Calamari was a highlight, as was the prawn pomelo and coconut rice. Prawn dim sum was a bit bland even with the soy sauce. Overall enjoyed the meal up to the desserts which sounded great on the menu description but were both a variation of dry boring cake with a nice scoop of ice cream.

We dined at Foleys as a group of four and all walked away fairly impressed with most of what we tried. The food was tasty; my personal favourites were the Bao, the tamarind duck and the beef red curry (the beef and duck were really tender!). The only thing that I wasn’t a massive fan of was their version of the green curry which lacked any flavour and spice. I think perhaps some of the prices for portion size given that we were a group of four wanting to try different dishes and share was a little disappointing. But other than the food, the service was good and we particularly enjoyed the Asian inspired cocktails on offer.

Great presentation, excellent service, wonderful ambience. Dishes were generally good but more pan Asian in showcasing classic dishes rather than Asian fusion in combining or reinventing flavours. Tamarind duck was superb! Wagyu beef was disappointing. Portions were modest. Value for money could be better.

Really lovely feel to this restaurant. Absolutely loved the interior design and the layout was cosy but didn’t feel cramped. The food was to die for, we both had a curry and they were both really creamy and tasty with a little spicy kick. Definitely coming here again!
